AutoSpeakerTest
TheAutoSpeakerTestisatestthatcanbeinitiatedfromaremotelocationtoverifythatthespeakerisworkingasintended.The
speakerplaysaseriesoftesttonesthataremeasuredbythebuilt-inmicrophone.Theregisteredtesttonesaresavedasreference
valuestooptimizespeakerperformancetoitsspecicsurroundingsattheinstallationsite.
TheAutoSpeakerTestmustbecalibratedduringrsttimeusefromitsmountedpositionattheinstallationsite.Ifthespeakeris
movedorifitslocalsurroundingschange,forexample,ifawallisbuiltorremoved,thespeakershouldbere-calibrated.
Note
Duringcalibration,itisrecommendedthatsomeoneisphysicallypresentattheinstallationsitetolistentothetesttonesand
ensurethatthetesttonesarenotmufedorblockedbyanyunintendedobstructionsinthespeaker’sacousticpath.
TocalibratetheAxisproductandrunanAutoSpeakerTest,followtheinstructionsbelow:
1.GotoSetup>Audio>AudioSettings.
2.ClickCalibratetocalibrateAxisproductandruntherstAutoSpeakerTest.
ItisalsopossibletoruntheAutoSpeakerTestbypressingthecontrolbutton.SeeHardwareoverviewonpage6.
OncetheAxisproductiscalibrated,theAutoSpeakerTestcanberunatanytime:

•Simplex–Speakeronly-AudioistransmittedfromaclienttotheAxisproduct.Thisisthedefaultaudiomode.

mayhavelatencyordelay,butwillrequirelessbandwidth.

WithoutSIP-specicportforwarding,usersofclientswithinthesameprivatenetworkwouldbeabletotalktoeachotherbut
usersofclientsindifferentnetworkswouldnot.

handshakes,thechannelforcommunicationisestablished.
ICEincreasesthechancesofndingthemostefcientpathtosuccessfulcommunicationbetweenpeerdevices.Ifyoualsoenable
STUNandTURN,youimprovetheICEprotocol’schancesofndingthemostefcientpathtosuccessfulcommunication.
SessionTraversalUtilitiesforNAT(STUN)
SessionTraversalUtilitiesforNAT(STUN)isaclient-servernetworkprotocolthatenablestheproducttoaskaSTUNserveronthe
InternetforamappedpublicIPaddress.TheSTUNserverresponseincludesthisIPaddressandportsothattheclientcanusethem
initsSIPmessagestootherhostsandclients.
LikeTURN,STUNcanbeusedinfull-cone,address-restrictedcone,andport-restrictedconeNATsetups.STUNisfastbecauseit
islightweight.However,STUNdoesnotallowincomingmessagesfromsymmetricNATs,anditcannotcommunicatewithapeer
