Sicherheitshinweise
Dieses analoge Positioniersystem darf
nicht in Anwendungen eingesetzt
werden, in denen die Sicherheit von
Personen von der Gerätefunktion
abhängt (kein Sicherheitsbauteil gemäß EU-
Maschinenrichtlinie). Vor der Inbetriebnahme ist die
Betriebsanleitung sorgfältig zu lesen.
Funktionsweise
Das System erfasst die Position des Positionsgebers
innerhalb des eingelernten Messbereiches und gibt diese
als Spannungssignal im Bereich 0…10V aus. Die rote
LED signalisiert dabei das Verlassen des Messbereiches.
Die grüne LED leuchtet wenn sich der Positionsgeber
innerhalb des Messbereiches befindet. Mit dem
Programmier-Taster kann der Messbereich und auch die
Messrichtung verändert werden.

Einbauhinweise
Umlaufend um die aktive Fläche des Sensors sollte ein
metallfreier Raum von ca. 5mm eingehalten werden, um
eine Beeinflussung des Messsignals durch das
Einbaumaterial zu minimieren (siehe Einbauskizze 1+2).
Wird neben dem Positionsgeber noch ein weiteres
Metallteil vom Sensor erkannt, führt dies zu ungültigen
Messsignalen.
Um ein Messsignal mit hoher Auflösung zu erhalten,
muss auf geeignete Kabelführung in der Maschine und
Filtermaßnahmen bei der Spannungsversorgung des
Systems geachtet werden.

Programmierung
Werksseitig ist der Sensor auf den maximalen
Erfassungsbereich von 14mm eingestellt. Es besteht
jedoch die Möglichkeit den jeweiligen Anfangs- und
Endpunkt des Messbereiches nach Bedarf zu
programmieren. Start- und Endpunkt müssen dabei
mindestens 7mm auseinander liegen.
Um den Sensor programmieren zu können, muss sich
das Target im Erfassungsbereich des Sensors befinden.
In diesem Fall leuchtet die grüne LED.
Befindet sich das Target außerhalb des
Erfassungsbereichs des Sensors leuchtet die rote LED
und eine Programmierung ist nicht möglich.
Befindet sich das Target außerhalb des programmierten
Messbereichs aber innerhalb des Erfassungsbereichs
des Sensors flackert die grüne LED.
Wird der Programmiervorgang unvollständig ausgeführt,
kehrt der Sensor nach 2min in den zuvor programmierten
bzw. in den Auslieferungszustand zurück.
Sollte während des Programmierens ein Fehler auftreten,
blinkt die rote LED langsam. Nach 20s kehrt der Sensor
in den zuvor programmierten bzw. in den Auslieferungs-
zustand zurück.
Um den Sensor in den Auslieferungszustand zurück zu
versetzen, drücken Sie den Programmiertaster ca. 8s bis
die grüne LED aufhört zu blinken. Hierbei muss sich das
Target innerhalb des Erfassungsbereichs des Sensors
befinden.
Um den Meßbereich zu verändern führen Sie die
folgenden Schritte durch.
1. Den Positionsgeber in den Erfassungsbereich des
Sensors bringen. Damit leuchtet die grüne LED.
2. Den Taster drücken bis die grüne LED blinkt. Dabei auf
die Abdeckfolie achten. Keine scharfkantigen
Gegenstände verwenden.
3. Der Sensor befindet sich jetzt im Programmiermodus.
4. Das Target an den gewünschten Startpunkt bringen.
5. Den Programmier-Taster kurz drücken (< 1s). Die rote
LED blinkt schnell.
6. Das Target an den gewünschten Endpunkt bringen.
Der Abstand zum Startpunkt muss größer als 7mm sein.
Dies wird durch die dann schnell blinkende grüne LED
signalisiert.
7. Den Programmier-Taster kurz drücken (< 1s). Die
grüne LED leuchtet.
8. Der Start- und Endpunkt wurden gespeichert. Der
Sensor befindet sich wieder im Arbeitsmodus.

Bemerkungen
Der Positionsgeber kann im Bereich D=0,5mm bis 2mm
vor der aktiven Fläche in Messrichtung bewegt werden
(siehe Einbauskizzen 1+3). Der resultierende
Linearitätsfehler des Ausgangssignals wird im
Abstandsbereich D=1mm - 1,75mm minimal.
Die technischen Daten, insbesondere die
Wiederholgenauigkeit, gelten nach einer Warmlaufzeit
von 15 min. Die vom Sensor erfasste Position (A) liegt in
der Mitte des Positionsgebers (Symmetrielinie).

Safety instructions
This analog positioning system must not
be used in applications in which the safety
of persons is dependent on the function
of the system (not a safety component in
accordance with the EU Machinery Directive).
Read this manual carefully before commissioning.
Function
The system detects the position of the position encoder
within the taught measuring range and outputs this
position as a current signal in the range 0…10V. Here,
the red LED indicates that the value is outside of the
measuring range. The green LED illuminates if the
position encoder is located within the measuring range.
Use the programming button to change the measuring
range as well as measuring direction.

Installation notices
A metal-free area of approx. 5mm should be maintained
around the active surface of the sensor to minimize
influencing of the measurement signal by the installation
material (see installation diagrams 1+2).
If, in addition to the position encoder, another metal part
is detected by the sensor, invalid measurement signals
result.
To obtain a measurement signal with high resolution, it is
necessary to ensure that cables are laid appropriately in
the machine and that suitable filtering measures are
taken with the voltage supply of the system.

Programming
The sensor is set at the factory to the maximum detection
range of 14mm. It is, however, possible to program the
respective start and end points of the measuring range as
needed. The start and end points must be at least 7mm
from one another in this case.
In order to program the sensor, the target must be located
within the detection range of the sensor. In this case, the
green LED illuminates.
If the target is located outside of the detection range of
the sensor, the red LED illuminates and programming is
not possible.
If the target is located outside of the programmed
measuring range but within the detection range of the
sensor, the green LED flickers.
If the programming process is not completed, the sensor
returns to the previously programmed state or, as the
case may be, the state of delivery after 2 minutes.
If an error occurs during programming, the red LED
flashes slowly. After 20s, the sensor returns to the
previously programmed state or the state of delivery.
To reset the sensor to the state of delivery, press the
programming button for approximately 8s until the green
LED stops flashing. In doing so, the target must be
located within the detection range of the sensor.
To change the measuring range, perform the following
steps.
1. Move the position encoder into the detection range of
the sensor. The green LED then illuminates.
2. Press the button until the green LED flashes. In doing
so, pay attention to the cover foil. Use no sharp objects.
3. The sensor is now in programming mode.
4. Move the target to the desired start point.
5. Briefly press the programming button (< 1s). The red
LED flashes rapidly.
6. Move the target to the desired end point. The distance
to the start point must be higher than 7mm. This is then
indicated by the rapidly flashing green LED.
7. Briefly press the programming button (< 1s). The green
LED illuminates.
8. The start and end points have been saved. The sensor
is again in working mode.

Remarks
The position encoder can be moved in the range
D=0.5mm to 2mm in front of the active surface in the
measurement direction (see installation diagram 1+3).
The resulting non-linearity of the output signal is minimal
in the distance range D=1.0 mm to 1.75 mm. The
technical data, in particular the repeat accuracy, applies
after a warm-up period of 15 min. The position detected
by the sensor (A) lies in the center of the position encoder
(line of symmetry).
