1.1 General safety

This appliance complies with the international

This appliance can be used by children who are

have reduced physical, perceptual or mental

of experience and knowledge as long as they
are supervised and given the instructions re-
garding the safe use of the appliance and dan-
gers encountered. Children should not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
procedures should not be performed by children
unless they are supervised by an older person.

Do not leave the product unattended while it is
plugged in.
•
Operate and store the appliance on a stable sur-
face.
•
When the appliance is placed on its base plate,
ensure that the surface beneath the plate is level.
•
Do not use the appliance if the power cable or the
appliance itself is damaged. Contact an author-
ised service.

The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped
and if there are visible signs of damage.

When the appliance is not in use or left to cool
down keep the appliance and power cable out of

by the manufacturer.

Do not attempt to dismantle the appliance.
•
Your mains power supply should comply with
the information supplied on the rating plate of
the appliance.

The mains supply of the appliance must be se-
cured with a minimum 16 A fuse.

Use the appliance with a grounded outlet only.

extremely hot. Contacting hot surfaces may
cause burns. Therefore while or just after using
the appliance, pay attention not to touch the hot
surfaces.

Never use the appliance in or near to combusti-
ble or inflammable places and materials.
•
If you keep the packaging materials, store them
out of the reach of children.

1.2 Complance wth WEEE Drectve and Dsposng of
the Waste Product
This product complies with EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU). This product
bears a classification symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE).
This symbol indicates that this product shall not be disposed
with other household wastes at the end of its service life. Used
device must be returned to offical collection point for recycling
of electrical and electronic devices. To find these collection sys-
tems please contact to your local authorities or retailer where
the product was puchased. Each household performs important role in re-
covering and recycling of old appliance. Appropriate disposal of used appli-
ance helps prevent potential negative consequences for the environment
and human health.
1.3 Complance wth RoHS Drectve
The product you have purchased complies with EU RoHS Directive
(2011/65/EU). It does not contain harmful and prohibited materials speci-
fied in the Directive.
1.4 Package Informaton
Packaging materials of the product are manufactured from recy-
clable materials in accordance with our National Environment
Regulations. Do not dispose of the packaging materials together
with the domestic or other wastes. Take them to the packaging
material collection points designated by the local authorities.

2.1 Intended use
This appliance is intended only for household use, removing the creases on
your clothes and for various textile products including curtains; it is not suit-
able for professional use.
2.2 Before frst use
When using the iron for the rst time, you may notice a slight emission of
smoke and hear some sounds made by the expanding plastics. This is quite
normal and it stops after a short time.

•We also recommend passng the ron over an ordnary cloth
before usng t for the frst tme.
•Certan parts of the ron have been lghtly greased
therefore the ron could gve off a lttle smoke when
plugged n for the frst tme. Ths wll cease after a short
whle.
•Before usng the ron for the frst tme , remove the plastc
protector from the base (f t has one), and clean the base
wth a soft cloth.
•Keep the base very smooth. Do not run t over metal objects
(such as aganst the ronng board, buttons, zps, etc.)
2.3 Selectng the temperature
•Check the ronng nstructons on the garment to be roned.
•If the garment does not have any ronng nstructons, but you know the
knd of fabrc n queston, use the chart below.
•Fabrcs that have some knd of fnsh (polshng, wrnkles, contrasts, etc.)
can be roned at the lowest temperature.

•If the fabrc contans several knds of fbres, always select the lowest
temperature that s safe for all of the fbres n the garment. If an artcle
contans 60% polyester and 40% cotton, you must always choose the
temperature correspondng to polyester, whch s for “Synthetc” fabrc
type.
•Start by ronng the artcles requrng the lowest temperature such as
those made of synthetc fbres . Progress towards those that requre the
hghest temperatures as the ron does not cool down as fast as t heats
up.
2.4 Temperature and steam settngs table
When setting the temperature of the appliance, consider the following

synthetc fabrcs such as slk, ron on the reverse sde of the
fabrc.

3.1 Cleanng and care
•When you are fnshed wth ronng, unplug the applance.

•Never use gasolne, solvent and abrasve cleanng agents
or hard brush to clean ths applance.
•Do not attempt to dsassemble the applance.
•Wpe the sedments and resdues on the soleplate (4)wth
a slghtly damp cloth and soft, nonabrasve lqud cleaner
as necessary.
•Wpe outer surfaces wth a damp cloth.
•Avod operatng the applance n humd or most places.
•Do not locate the applance near a heat source or drect
sunlght.
3.2 Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, store it carefully.
•Before lftng the applance unplug t and then let t cool completely.
•Keep the applance and ts accessores n ther orgnal packages.
•Store t n a cool, dry place.
•Always keep the applance out of the reach of chldren.
3.3 Handlng and transportaton
•Durng handlng and transportaton, carry the applance n ts orgnal
packagng. The packagng of the applance protects t aganst physcal
damages.
•Do not place heavy loads on the applance or the packagng. The applance
may be damaged.
•Droppng the applance wll render t non-operatonal or cause permanent
damage.

For commissioning, general use and cleaning, please observe the in-
structions on page 4 of this operating manual.
4.1 Defects and repars
Do not attempt to replace a damaged power cord. The appliance has to be
returned to an authorized service centre for repair.
Problem Possible solution
Iron emits an odor or
smoke
Iron gives off an odor when turned on for the first
time. Oils used during manufacture need to be burnt
off, allow ten minutes for odor to disappear.
Iron does not heat The iron should be plugged into a 230 Volt , AC elec-
trical outlet only. The temperature dial must be set
to the desired temperature.
