Replacing Battery
Please install the battery before using the device.
Remove the battery compartment cover, Please insert the
positive and negative pole
of AA Alkaline battery into
the right place. and then
close the battery
compartment cover.

Setting device
After installing the battery,
turn on the device, then
you could go to
時間 >世
界時間 > 時間設定 to set the localcity, date and time of the
 devicerst,ifneeded.
Setting the local city

Input the first letter or preceding letters of the city's English
name and choose the right city in the column. Tap the
city's name twice for confirmation.
Setting the date
In the calendar, tap left/right keys to choose the right year
and then tap once on the right dateand time. Finally, tap
完成 for confirmation.
Setting the time
Tap the up/down keys to set up the right hours, minutes
and am/pm. Finally, tap 完成 for confirmation.

Setting the date and time of device
1Thepowerisinsufcientwhenjustcharged,thismeans
the battery is no longer useable. Please get a new one.
2 Please use batteries of the same brand, and do not use
the old battery with the new one together.
3 Please insert the batteries correctly according to the
battery box's instruction. Do not mix up the positive and
negative pole of AA Alkaline.
4 Please take out the batteries if the device will be unused
for a long time. Otherwise, the leaked substance may
damage the device
5 Please dump the batteries according to the local rules.

Stylus Operation
This device provides touch-operation. It includes the
following ways:
 •Selection-tapping: Choose the function on the screen
and tap it gently with the stylus. Make sure the stylus
leave the screen after tapping.
 •Double-tapping: Tap twice on the same function.
For example, on the dictionary index tap once means
standby, tap one more time means conrmation.
 •Dragging: Dragging the stylus without its tip leaving
the screen. (do not drag heavily)
 •Writing: The operation of hand-writing input would be
described at the latter part.
Input Methods
User input words through keyboard and handwriting recognition
mode. Device provides following input methods:

P ress IMs , and the input method's menu would

the input method which you want to choose.
Smart Pinyin
  •Press alphabet keys to input the smart pinyin.
Main Menu
Providesve types of main menus: 詞典、學習、 參考、
時間、系統
 •Press MENU to return to the main menu.
•Press
/ key to switch the type of main menu.
•Press the ENTER key or numeric and letter key to access
to the corresponding function items of main menu. You
also can press / / / key to choose the items
of menu, press ENTER to access to the applications.
•You could also choose by tapping the "main menu's title"
or "functions and application" with the stylus.

  •For example, inputting "WM", you could get " 我們、
 外面、文明…"
  •Press or to look up more Chinese phrases.
  •Press numeric keys to input the standby Chinese
phrase.
Radical Strokes
  •Select the number of strokes, press or to view
the standby radical stokes, and select the one you
want directly.
  •Select the remaining number of strokes, press or
to view the standby words, and select the word
directly. 
Total Strokes
  •Select the number of total strokes, press or to
view the standby words, and select the word you
want directly.
Chinese Handwriting Recognition Input
  •There are multi-box/single box/full screen for
handwriting.
  •Write in the box on the screen by stylus, and take up
the stylus, waiting for the recognition.
  •Choose the word you want by tapping it.

Word Searching
Take The Standard Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese as
an example to illustrate the method of searching a word.
•Words in alphabetical order in the index screen.
 •If you know clearly the word's spelling, you could input
the word and press ENTER key to search.
 •If you are not sure of a word's spelling, you could use
Wildcard Search. Input all the letters you know, and then
replace the unknown letters with "?" or "*". "?" stands for
an unknown letter. "*" stands for a string of unknown
letters.
 •You can corss search the words in explanation screen:
press to mark the word, press / / / to
highlightthewordsfromthemarkedword,orjust tap the
word you want to highlight. Press corresponding keys to
view the explanation of highlighted words.
 •Press toadjustthe font size.


Time menu includs functions of World Time, Timer,
Stopwatch and Calendar.

View and set time and date.
 •Timer Timer is a Countdown tool.

When slide the cover to the end of the rail, you can
take off it easily.

  •Put the cover on the screen and slide it to the sliding
rail until hearing a click.

  •Hold the cover with the left hand, and put it under
the device (screen up).

Touch Panel & Display To protect the screen from being
scratched, use only the stylus that comes with this product.
When cleaning, rub the screen lightly with dry, clean and
soft cloth (do not use volatile liquid). The screen may crack
if the product falls on the ground.

there is a risk of explosion. Do not connect the battery’s
terminals together to avoid short circuit.

Earphone The sound volume of the earphone should be not
 toohighsoasnottoinjureyourhearing.
Non Waterproof The device is non waterproof. Please
keep it away from any liquid. If it gets wet, please dry the
surface and send to our service center for checking.
Usage of the Protecting Cover

  •Hold the bump place of the cover with right hand,
and push/slide it to the left along the sliding rail.

cause damage to the liquid crystal panel.
•Donotuseharshchemicals,cleaningsolvents,or
strong detergents to clean the device.
•Donotpaintit.Paintcanclogthedevice'sdetachable
parts and cause it to malfunction.
•Donotoperatethedevicebelowthetemperature0or
over 40 degrees. Excessive heat or cold will cause
malfunction and incur damage to the device. To avoid
such from happening, please do not use the device for
two hours after it has been exposed to excess heat or
cold, because the humidity or moisture formed by the
temperature changing will cause damage to the device.
We are obliged to charge user maintenance fee if
the product is damaged due to liquid percolation, improper
placement of the product (such as eroder by moths), or
breakage on the screen (such as screen scratching or
breaking) such man-made damages.

handling may damage the device.

If the position of the touch panel's pen point is too
shifted to control the screen with the stylus, you can use the
stylus to poke the RESET key (Or remove the battery and
install the battery again after 1 minute), then long press the
power button to enter the pen point calibration screen when
the host is powered on.
