1 Description and Intended Purpose
These Instructions for Use are intended for the practitioner and user unless otherwise stated.
The term device is used throughout to refer to the SuperSACH.
Please read and ensure you understand these instructions, in particular all safety information and
maintenance instructions.
Application
This device is to be used exclusively as part of a lower limb prostheses with an interfacing
Blatchford product, intended for a single user.
This device provides the user with a cushioned heel and a exible keel. The adjustable heel screw
allows heel cushion adjustment for an individual t.

Activity Level
This device is recommended for Activity Level 1 or 2 users (weight limits apply, see Technical
Data). Of course there are exceptions and in our recommendation we want to allow for unique,
individual circumstances and any such decision should be made with sound and thorough
justication.
Activity Level 1
Has the ability or potential to use a prosthesis for transfers or ambulation on level surfaces at xed
cadence. Typical of the limited and unlimited household ambulator.
Activity Level 2
Has the ability or potential for ambulation with the ability to traverse low-level environmental barriers
such as curbs, stairs, or uneven surfaces. Typical of the limited community ambulator.
Contraindications
This device may not be suitable for competitive sports events, as these types of user may be
better served by a specially designed prosthesis optimized for their needs.
Clinical Benets
• Low heel stiness at weight acceptance gives good stability for lower mobility patients
• Long-lasting for low mobility users
• High satisfaction rates amongst bilateral users

2 Safety Information
This warning symbol highlights important safety information which must be
followed carefully.
Any changes in the performance or
function of the limb e.g. restricted or
excessive movement, non-smooth
motion or unusual noises should be
immediately reported to your service
provider.
Always use a hand rail when
descending stairs and at any other time
if available.
The device is not suitable for extreme
sports, competitive running or cycle
racing, ice and snow sports, extreme
slopes and steps. Any such activities
undertaken are done so completely at
the users’own risk. Recreational cycling
or running is acceptable.
Assembly, maintenance and repair of
the device must only be carried out by a
suitably qualied practitioner that has
attended an approved training course.
The user should be advised to contact
their practitioner if their condition
changes.
Ensure only suitably retrotted vehicles
are used when driving. All persons are
required to observe their respective
driving laws when operating motor
vehicles.
To minimize the risk of slipping and
tripping, appropriate footwear that ts
securely onto the foot shell must be
used at all times.
The device is designed for prolonged
submersion and suitable for immersion
in fresh water only. Ensure any use of
the device in water complies with the
conditions given in Limitations on Use.

5 Maintenance
Visually check the device regularly.
Report any changes in performance of this device to the practitioner/service provider e.g.
unusual noises, increased stiness, changes in heel cushioning, restricted/excessive movement,
signicant wear or excessive discoloration from long term exposure to UV.
Inform the practitioner/service provider of any changes in body weight and/or activity level.
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth and mild soap to clean outside surfaces. DO NOT use aggressive cleansers.
The remaining instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
This maintenance must be carried out only by competent personnel (practitioner or suitable
trained technician).
The following routine maintenance is to be carried out at least annually:
• Check for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
Ensure the user has read and understood all safety and user-level maintenance information.
Advise the user that a regular visual check of the device is recommended and signs of wear that
may aect function should be reported to their service provider (e.g. signicant wear or excessive
discoloration from long term exposure to UV).
Advise the user to inform the practitioner/service provider of any changes in body weight and/or
activity level
If this device is used excessively, the maintenance level and interval should be reviewed and if
required advice and technical support sought to plan a new maintenance schedule dependent
upon the frequency and nature of the activity. This should be determined by a local risk
assessment carried out by a suitably qualied individual.
4 Function
The device comprises a lightweight thermoplastic keel which gives a gentle rolling action
through stance. The keel lies within a standard closed foot shell prole and features a sandal toe
for a more natural appearance.
An adjuster screw in the heel allows the user to customize the hardness of the heel cushion for
individual requirements.

6 Limitations on Use
Intended Life
A local risk assessment should be carried out based upon activity and usage.
Lifting Loads
User weight and activity is governed by the stated limits.
Load carrying by the user should be based on a local risk assessment.
Environment
This device is waterproof to a maximum depth of 1 meter. Thoroughly rinse with fresh water after
use in abrasive environments such as those that may contain sand or grit, for example, to prevent
wear. Thoroughly rinse with fresh water after use in salt or chlorinated water.
Foot products must be adequately nished to prevent water ingress into the foot shell where
possible. If water enters the foot shell, the limb should be inverted and dried before further use.
Exclusively for use between -15°C and 50 °C (5 °F to 122°F).

7 Bench Alignment
The instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
7.1 Static Alignment
With the exion accommodated the build line
should pass through the center of the socket
in the sagittal (A–P) plane and through the
SuperSACH foot, as shown. Make sure you
accommodate the heel height of the shoe.
Build Line
This should fall 1/3 of the foot length from the
heel.
7.2 Dynamic Alignment
Coronal Plane
Ensure that M-L thrust is minimal by adjusting
relative positions of socket and foot.
Sagittal Plane
Check for smooth transition from heel strike
to toe-o. Ensure also that when standing the
heel and toe are evenly loaded and that both
are touching the oor.
7.3 Transfemoral Alignment
Align transfemoral components according to
tting instructions supplied with the knee,
keeping the build line relative to this device,
as shown.

8 Fitting Advice
The instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
Symptoms Reason Remedy

8.1 Using the Adjuster Screw
The adjuster screw is used to adjust the stiness of the heel cushion.
Note… Users who weigh between 100kg and 125 kg may need maximum heel stiness.
Users who weigh 60kg or less may need minimum heel stiness.
To stien the heel cushion:
• Turn the adjuster screw clockwise.
Note… The heel cushion is set to maximum
stiness when the screw is fully engaged.
To soften the heel cushion:
• Turn the adjuster screw counterclockwise.
Note… The heel cushion is set to minimum
stiness after 4 counterclockwise turns from the
maximum stiness setting.
8.2 Bonding a Cosmesis
Before you begin, lightly abrade and clean the mating surfaces with a suitable solvent cleaner.

stored at room temperature out of direct sunlight (protected from UV).

Compatibility
Combination with Blatchford branded products is approved based on testing in accordance
with relevant standards and the MDR including structural test, dimensional compatibility and
monitored eld performance.
Combination with alternative CE marked products must be carried out in view of a documented
local risk assessment carried out by a Practitioner.
Warranty
This device is warranted for for 24 months.
The user should be aware that changes or modications not expressly approved could void the
warranty, operating licenses and exemptions.

Reporting of Serious Incidents
In the unlikely event of a serious incident occurring in relation to this device it should be
reported to the manufacturer and your national competent authority.
Environmental Aspects
This product is made from a recyclable material. Where possible, the components should be
recycled in accordance with local waste handling regulations.

The practitioner is advised to keep the packaging label as a record of the device supplied.

1 Description et objectif visé
Ces instructions d’utilisation sont destinées au praticien et à l’utilisateur, sauf indication contraire.
Le terme dispositif est utilisé pour se référer au SuperSACH.
Veuillez lire et vous assurer que vous comprenez toutes les présentes instructions d’utilisation,
en particulier les informations de sécurité et les instructions relatives à l’entretien.
Application
Ce dispositif est destiné à être utilisé uniquement comme composant d’une prothèse de membre
inférieur avec un produit Blatchford en interface, pour un utilisateur unique.
Ce dispositif ore à l’utilisateur un talon rembourré avec une âme souple. La vis de talon réglable
permet l’ajustement du coussin du talon en fonction des besoins de l’utilisateur.

Niveau d’activité
Ce dispositif est recommandé aux utilisateurs ayant un niveau d’activité1 à 2 (des limites
de poids s’appliquent, voir Données techniques). Bien sûr, il y a des exceptions et, dans notre
recommandation, nous souhaitons tenir compte des circonstances uniques et individuelles.
Ainsi, toute décision de ce type doit être prise avec une justication solide et approfondie.
Activité de niveau 1
A la possibilité ou le potentiel d’utiliser une prothèse pour les transferts ou déplacements sur des
surfaces planes à une cadence xe. Caractéristiques du patient domestique limité et illimité.
Activité de niveau 2
A une capacité ou un potentiel de déambulation avec possibilité de gérer des obstacles
environnementaux bas tels que les trottoirs, les escaliers ou les surfaces inégales. Caractéristique
du patient limité en extérieur.
Contre-indications
Ce dispositif peut ne pas convenir pour des compétitions sportives, puisque ces utilisateurs
pourraient être avantagés par une prothèse spéciquement conçue et optimisée pour leur
besoin.
Avantages cliniques
• La faible rigidité du talon lors de l’acceptation du poids ore une bonne stabilité aux
patients à mobilité réduite.
• Longue durée de vie pour les utilisateurs à faible mobilité
• Taux de satisfaction élevé parmi les utilisateurs bilatéraux

2 Informations de sécurité
Ce symbole d’avertissement met en évidence des informations de sécurité
importantes qui doivent être scrupuleusement respectées.
Tout changement dans la performance
ou la fonction du membre, par exemple
un mouvement restreint ou excessif,
un mouvement irrégulier ou des bruits
inhabituels, doit être immédiatement
signalé à votre prestataire de services.
Servez-vous toujours d’une rampe pour
descendre les escaliers et à tout autre
moment si possible.
Le dispositif n’est pas adapté aux sports
extrêmes, à la course à pied ou à vélo
en compétition, aux sports de glace et
de neige, aux pentes et aux marches
extrêmes. Toutes les activités de ce type
sont menées aux risques et périls des
utilisateurs. Le cyclisme ou la course à
pied de loisir sont acceptables.
Seul un praticien dûment qualié,
ayant suivi une formation agréée, peut
procéder au montage, à l’entretien et à
la réparation du dispositif.
Il doit être conseillé au patient de
contacter son praticien si son état vient
à changer.
Veillez à ce que seuls les véhicules
adaptés soient utilisés pour la conduite.
Toutes les personnes sont tenues de
respecter leurs lois respectives en
matière de conduite de véhicules
motorisés.
Des chaussures appropriées, bien
adaptées à l’enveloppe du pied, doivent
être utilisées à tout moment an de
réduire au minimum le risque de glisser
et de trébucher.
Le dispositif est conçu pour une
immersion prolongée et convient
pour une immersion dans l’eau douce
uniquement. Veiller à ce que toute
utilisation du dispositif dans l’eau soit
conforme aux conditions énoncées au
paragraphe Limites d’utilisation.

5 Entretien
Vériez visuellement le dispositif à intervalles réguliers.
Signalez au praticien/prestataire de services tout changement dans les performances de ce
dispositif, par exemple des bruits inhabituels, une rigidité accrue, des changements dans
le rembourrage du talon, un mouvement restreint/excessif, une usure importante ou une
décoloration excessive due à une exposition prolongée aux UV.
Informez le praticien/prestataire de service de tout changement de poids corporel et/ou de
niveau d’activité.
Nettoyage
Utilisez un chion humide et du savon doux pour nettoyer les surfaces extérieures. N’UTILISEZ
PAS de détergents agressifs.
Les autres instructions de cette section sont destinées à être utilisées par des praticiens.
Cet entretien doit être eectué uniquement par un personnel compétent (praticien ou
technicien qualié).
L’entretien régulier suivant doit être eectué au moins une fois par an:
• Vériez l’absence de dommages ou d’usure et remplacez le dispositif si nécessaire.
Assurez-vous que l’utilisateur a lu et compris toutes les informations relatives à la sécurité et à
l’entretien à réaliser par l’utilisateur.
Informez l’utilisateur qu’il est conseillé de mener un examen visuel régulier du dispositif et que
les signes d’usure susceptibles d’aecter la fonction doivent être signalés à son prestataire
de services (par exemple, usure importante ou décoloration excessive due à une exposition
prolongée aux UV).
Conseillez à l’utilisateur d’informer le praticien/prestataire de service de tout changement de
poids corporel et/ou de niveau d’activité
Si ce dispositif est utilisé de manière excessive, le niveau et l’intervalle d’entretien doivent être
revus et, si nécessaire, des conseils et une assistance technique doivent être recherchés pour
planier un nouveau calendrier d’entretien en fonction de la fréquence et de la nature de
l’activité. Cela doit être déterminé dans le cadre d’une évaluation locale des risques menée par
une personne dûment qualiée.
4 Fonction
Le dispositif comprend une âme légère en thermoplastique qui apporte une légère action de
roulement tout au long de la phase d’appui. L’âme se situe dans un prol de l’enveloppe de pied
fermé standard et comporte un orteil séparé pour une apparence plus naturelle.
Une vis de réglage dans le talon permet à l’utilisateur de personnaliser la fermeté du coussin du
talon en fonction de ses besoins.

6 Limites d’utilisation
Durée de vie prévue
Une évaluation locale des risques doit être eectuée sur la base de l’activité et de l’utilisation.
Soulever des charges
Le poids et l’activité de l’utilisateur sont régis par les limites indiquées.
Le transport de charges par l’utilisateur doit être basé sur une évaluation locale des risques.
Environnement
Ce dispositif est étanche jusqu’à une profondeur maximale de 1mètre. Rincez soigneusement
à l’eau douce après l’avoir utilisé dans des environnements abrasifs tels que ceux qui peuvent
contenir notamment du sable ou du gravier, pour éviter l’usure. Rincez abondamment à l’eau
douce après une utilisation dans de l’eau salée ou chlorée.
Les produits pour les pieds doivent avoir une nition adéquate pour empêcher l’inltration d’eau
dans l’enveloppe de pied, dans la mesure du possible. Si de l’eau pénètre dans l’enveloppe de
pied, le membre doit être retourné et séché avant toute nouvelle utilisation.
Pour une utilisation exclusivement entre -15°C et 50°C.

7 Alignement à l’établi
Les instructions de cette section sont destinées à être utilisées par des praticiens.
7.1 Alignement statique
Une fois la exion accommodée, l’axe de
construction doit passer par le centre de
l’emboîture dans le plan sagittal (A-P) et par le
pied SuperSACH, comme illustré. Veillez à tenir
compte de la hauteur du talon de la chaussure.
Axe de construction
Celui-ci doit se positionner à 1/3 de la
longueur du pied à partir du talon.
7.2 Alignement dynamique
Plan coronal
Veillez à ce que la poussée M-L soit minimale
en ajustant les positions relatives de
l’emboîture et du pied.
Plan sagittal
Vériez que la transition entre l’attaque du
talon et la phase d’élan se fait en douceur.
En position debout, veillez également à ce
que le talon et la pointe des pieds soient
chargés de manière égale et que les deux
touchent le sol.
7.3 Alignement transfémoral
Alignez les composants transfémoraux
conformément aux instructions de pose
fournies avec le genou, en maintenant l’axe
de construction par rapport au dispositif,
comme indiqué.

8 Conseils de pose
Les instructions de cette section sont destinées à être utilisées par des praticiens.
Symptômes Raison Mesure correctrice
• Enfoncement à l’attaque du talon Talon trop mou Renforcer le coussin du talon
• Transition rapide de l’attaque du
talon à la phase d’appui.
• Diculté à contrôler l’action du
talon (par exemple, le pied bouge
au milieu de la phase d’appui).
• Le pied est trop rigide

8.1 Utiliser la vis de réglage
La vis de réglage permet d’ajuster la rigidité du coussin de talon.
Remarque… Les utilisateurs qui pèsent entre 100kg et 125kg peuvent avoir besoin d’une rigidité
maximale du talon. Les utilisateurs qui pèsent 60kg et moins peuvent avoir besoin d’une rigidité
minimale du talon.
Renforcer le coussin du talon:
• Tournez la vis de réglage dans le sens
des aiguilles d’une montre.
Remarque… Le coussin de talon est réglé
sur la rigidité maximale lorsque la vis est
complètement enfoncée.
Assouplir le coussin du talon:
• Tournez la vis de réglage dans le sens
inverse des aiguilles d’une montre.
Remarque… La rigidité minimale est atteinte
après 4tours dans le sens inverse des aiguilles
d’une montre en partant du réglage de la rigidité
maximale.
8.2 Coller un revêtement esthétique
Avant de commencer, poncez légèrement les surfaces de contact et nettoyez-les à l’aide
d’un solvant approprié.
