AFO Attachment for Thruster RLF

ANKLE FOOT ORTHOSIS
This accessory is offered for sale by or on the order of a physician or other qualified medical professional. This accessory is not
intended for reuse on a second patient. This accessory is generally not intended for patients in excess of 250 lbs (114 kilos).
Indications: Indicated to maintain hinge position for proper suspension of the Thruster RLF Medial and Thruster RLF Lateral when
inadequate calf musculature prevents suspension of the brace alone.
WARNING: Do not leave this accessory in the trunk of a car on a hot day or in any other place where the temperature may
exceed 150˚ F (65˚ C) for any extended period of time. If any additional pain or symptoms occur while using this
accessory, discontinue use and seek medical attention.
If any serious incident has occurred in relation to the device, report to Breg and the competent authority of the Member
State in which the user and/or patient is established.

1. Pull back the pad on the inside of the
lower shell of the Thruster RLF Brace (LA
or MA). Apply the AFO Attachment to the
outside of the upright, and insert the
screws from the kit through the holes.
Attach the screws to the threaded holes
from the inside of the upright, as indicated
in photo, into the extension upright of the
AFO attachment.
Apply and adjust the brace to the patient
according to the brace application
instructions. After fitting the brace, firmly
tighten the adjustment screws.
Loosen the two adjustment screws to
permit sliding of the adjustment slot.
Note: The 3/32 ball driver provided with
thebrace,orthe3/32hexdriverprovided
with the AFO Kit can be used for
adjustment.
(Shown: Aligner Brace) The hook and
loop fastener can be engaged by pressing
the hook on the bottom of the footplate to
the loop insert in the shoe. Note: The
padded shoe insole must be placed over
the footplate.
Peel the protective cover from the adhesive
on the loop insert and press the adhesive
while centering to the heel area of the
shoe.
Note: If desired, the AFO Attachment may
be attached to the shoe with hook and
loop fasteners. To install the shoe fastener,
pull back the padded shoe insole.
