SETTING THE TIME AND DATE
• Pull the crown all the way out (3).
• Turn the crown clockwise to set the desired time.
• Push the crown back into position (2).
• Turn the crown clockwise to set the desired date : the date is set automatically
every time the hour hand passes the midnight.
• Push the crown back into position (1) and close it by applying a light pressure on
the case.
Note:
Do not set the date between 9.00 p.m. and 3.00 a.m. to avoid damaging the
mechanism.
For an optimum accuracy, mechanical watches must be recharged every day and worn
in the correct way, i.e. making sure that they fit the wrist snugly.

CHRONOGRAPH
• Press to start the chronograph.
• Press to stop the chronograph measurement.
• Press to reset the chronograph.
To use the chronograph in sequence without including the intervals between the events,
adding the times together:
• Press to start the chronograph.
• Press once more to stop the chronograph and register the measurement.
• Proceed in the same way for all subsequent measurements.
• When finished, the chronograph will display the total time for all events (without the
interruptions between them) and the individual times measured.
• Press to reset the chronograph.
To measure the times of a single event and simultaneously display intermediate times:
• Press to start the chronograph.
• Press to measure the first intermediate time. The chronograph continues the
measurement even during the display of intermediate times.
• Press once more. The chronograph hands will recover the lost time and continue
the measurements from the beginning of the previous one.
• Repeat the operation to obtain the next intermediate times.
• Press to display the total time.
• Press B to reset the chronograph.

CHRONOGRAPH RESET
Before resetting the counters, make sure that the chronograph measurement is disabled
and in Stop position.
• Place the crown in position (2) and press to reset the minutes counter.
• Place the crown in position (3) and press to reset the seconds counter.
• Place the crown in position (3) and press to reset the tenths of second counter.

- In order to prevent water coming into contact with the internal mechanism, never
pull the crown out when the watch is wet.
- If any watches designed for sportswear or use in water come into contact with salt
water or heavy sweating, they should be rinsed in fresh water and dried
thoroughly.

- Contact with water may cause a deterioration in the quality of some leather straps.
- As internal parts of the watch can retain moisture, when the outside temperature is
lower than the inside, the watch glass may mist-up.
This phenomenon is purely temporary and should not create any problems.
However, if it persists for any length of time, the watch should be checked by the
shop where it was purchased or by the nearest Authorised Service Centre.

Temperature
Do not leave the watch exposed to direct sunlight or temperature extremes for long
periods of time.
Long exposure, in fact, may adversely affect the operation of the watch and actually
shorten battery life, causing it to gain or lose time and affect its other functions.
Impact
This watch can withstand normal everyday impacts and shocks and those normally
imparted by non-contact sports. Serious damage, however, may result if the watch is
dropped or subjected to severe shock.
Magnetic fields
This watch is antimagnetic up to 60 gauss, and is therefore not affected by magnetic
fields produced by normal domestic appliances. If used near strong magnetic fields, its
operation may be temporarily affected.
Static electricity
The integrated circuits present inside the watch are sensitive to static electricity. If the
watch is exposed to intense electrical fields, the time display may temporarily lose some
of its accuracy.

Chemicals and gases
Avoid wearing the watch in the presence of strong gases or chemical substances. Parts
of the watch may discolour, dissolve or even break if brought into contact with benzol or
petroleum based products such as solvents, thinners, detergent, adhesives etc.
Pay special attention to avoiding contact with chemicals.
The watch case and strap may discolour if they come into contact with mercury from a
broken thermometer or other equipment.
Keeping the watch clean
Use an absorbent soft cloth to clean off any dirt or damp from the watch glass.
Wearing the watch when the strap or back of the case is dirty can cause skin
irritation.
Cleaning the watch strap:
•Metal bands: use a toothbrush and soapy warm to wash the dirt off.
•Plastic or rubber straps: wash with water. Do not use solvents.
•Leather straps: gently rub the face of the strap using a soft dry cloth. Clean the
opposite side with a cloth and alcohol.
Periodic inspection
In order to guarantee long trouble-free operation, it is advisable to have the watch
checked by an Authorised Assistance Centre once every two years.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children
If a battery is accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.

RÉGLAGE DE L’HEURE ET DE LA DATE
• Extraire la couronne en position (3).
• Faire pivoter la couronne dans le sens horaire pour régler l’heure.
• Remettre la couronne en position (2).
• Faire pivoter la couronne dans le sens horaire pour régler la date : la date se règle
automatiquement à chaque passage de l’aiguille sur minuit.
• Remettre la couronne en position (1) et la repousser en exerçant une légère
pression dans la direction du boîtier.
Note :
Ne pas régler la date entre 21:00 heures et 3:00 heures pour ne pas endommager le
mécanisme.
Pour obtenir une précision optimale, une montre mécanique doit être rechargée tous les
jours et doit être portée de façon correcte : pas trop large sur le poignet.

MODALITÉ DE CHRONOMÉTRAGE
• Appuyer sur pour lancer la mesure.
• Appuyer sur pour interrompre la mesure.
• Appuyer sur pour mettre le chronographe à zéro.
Pour chronométrer des événements en séquence successive sans les intervalles qui
les séparent en additionnant le temps de chaque étape à celle précédente:
• Lancez le chronographe en appuyant sur .
• Appuyer à nouveau sur pour arrêter le chronographe et enregistrer la mesure.
• Procéder de la même manière pour toutes les mesures suivantes.
• Au terme des opérations, le chronographe montrera le temps global des étapes
(sans interruptions) et le temps de chacune des mesures.
• Appuyer sur pour mettre le chronographe à zéro.
Pour mesurer les temps d’un seul événement avec visualisation simultanée des temps
intermédiaires:
• Appuyer sur pour lancer le chronographe.
• Appuyer sur pour mesurer le premier temps intermédiaire. La mesure du temps
continue également durant l’affichage des temps intermédiaires.
• Appuyer de nouveau sur et les aiguilles du chronographe récupèrent le temps
perdu et continuent la mesure du temps activée préalablement.
• Répéter l’opération pour obtenir les temps intermédiaires suivantes.
• Appuyer sur pour visualiser le temps total.
• Appuyer sur pour mettre le chronographe à zéro.

REMISE À ZÉRO DU CHRONOGRAPHE
Avant de commencer la remise à zéro des compteurs, vérifier que la mesure
chronographique n'est pas en cours de fonctionnement mais en position stop.
• Mettre la couronne en position (2), et appuyer sur la touche pour mettre à zéro le
compteur des minutes.
• Mettre la couronne en position (3), et appuyer sur la touche pour mettre à zéro le
compteur des secondes.
• Mettre la couronne en position (3), et appuyer sur la touche pour mettre à zéro le
compteur des dixièmes de seconde.

- Pour éviter que l’eau n’entre dans les mécanismes intérieurs de la montre, la couronne
ne doit jamais être extraite et les boutons ne doivent jamais être enfoncés quand la
montre est mouillée ou plongée dans l’eau (sauf en cas d’autres spécifications).
- Si les montres conçues pour le sport ou pour fonctionner sous l’eau sont exposées
à l’eau salée, ou à une sueur abondante, elles doivent être rincées à l’eau douce
puis complètement essuyées.

L’indication “WATER RESISTANT” (étanche) peut parfois être abrégée en “WATER RESIST”.
