Description
The BathyCorrometer®Cal-Checker Pro’ is a
self-contained, battery-powered instrument
used to verify the function of the
BathyCorrometer®Pro’ electronics.
Operation
Simply insert the BathyCorrometer® Cal-Checker Pro’ into the waterproof
bulkhead socket in the BathyCorrometer®’s handle to switch the BCM
on. The BathyCorrometer® Pro’ will display a reading of 0.000V,
momentarily press the push button switch of the BathyCorrometer® Cal-
Checker Pro’ to display a reading of -1.900 volts on the BCM.
Should the BathyCorrometer® Pro’ display a reading outside this range
[-1.900V (+/- 0.1%)]; this indicates the BathyCorrometer® Pro’ electronics
may require adjustment, having verified that the BathyCorrometer®
Cal-Checker Pro’ is providing the correct output first.
Note: Repairs/servicing must ONLY be undertaken by authorised technicians.
To use the BathyCorrometer® Cal-Checker Pro’ with a Mk5 BCM connect
the short calibration lead to the 2-pin socket of the Cal-Checker. Insert
the BathyCorrometer® Cal-Checker Pro’ into the waterproof bulkhead
socket in the BathyCorrometer®‘s handle and connect the spring clip to
the pointed probe of the BCM, proceed as detailed above to operate
the BathyCorrometer® Cal-Checker Pro’.
Maintenance
Very little maintenance is required apart from keeping the brass contact
pins clean and ensuring that the output is verified regularly to provide
optimum performance.

Battery Replacement
The BathyCorrometer® CalChecker Pro’ battery will require
replacement when an output of -1.900 (+/- 0.1%) volts cannot be
obtained. This can be verified with the use of a digital multi-meter set to
the DC Volts range.
To replace the battery first unscrew the threaded end cap to reveal the
battery, slide the old battery out of the holder and replace with a new
3V CR1632 coin-cell battery.
