offer the following maintenance and safety information to improve your scooter safety and enjoyment.
Your CARROMCO scooter is a quality scooter. It has been constructed utilising quality components
available through most bicycle shops. With periodic maintenance, common sense use and care, your
scooter can provide many years of riding enjoyment.

For enhanced cornering, lean slightly into the direction of the turn. For controlled stops, apply the brake by
stepping on the rear fender/brake. We recommend that you practice applying the brake at various speeds
and in an open area free from obstructions before riding your scooter around others.
Please check the brake performance after each use. Brake will get hot from continuous use. Do not touch
after braking.
MAINTENANCE
Frequent inspections should be carried out to ensure that nuts, bolts and fixings are secure and that no parts
are worn or damaged.
Self-locking nuts and other self-locking fixings may lose their effectiveness. Always inspect scooter prior
to riding, especially the self-locking nuts and other self-locking fixings.
Periodically check for undue wear to the wheels and braking mechanism.
Please replace wheels if applicable
It is most important to replace worn or damaged handlebar grips.
Periodically and sparingly lubricate moving parts with a light oil front axle, rear axle and steering head
bushes.
Do not make any modification other than mentioned in this instruction.
SAFETY WARNINGS
Please read below instruction before using the scooter.
Adult assemblyrequired. Adults must assist children in the initial adjustment proceduresto unfold scooter,
adjust handlebar and steering height and finally to fold scooter.
This scooter is not a toy and it must be used under the direct supervision of an adult.
Not suitable for children under the age of 36 months due to small parts and balls, which could be
swallowed or inhaled by young children. To be assembled by an adult.
Never allow more than one child to use the scooter at one time.
Minimum user weight: 20kg, maximum user weight: 100kg.
Always inspect the scooter before use. Check and secure all fasteners before every ride. Replace worn
and broken parts immediately. Watch regularly for wheels and brakes worn out and grease the wheel
once a year.
Always wear safety equipment such as helmet, kneepads and elbow pads.
Always wear appropriate shoes.
Direct adult supervision required. The scooter should be used with caution, as it requires great skill, so as
to avoid falling or collision with third parties. Make sure the child is comfortably positioned on the fully
assembled and checked scooter. Demonstrate the steering to the child until they have mastered the
function and operation of the handlebars and steering assembly. Demonstrate how to safely stop the
scooter. The time necessary for a child to master and then co-ordinate each operation can vary
considerably. Only when the child has reached a stage where it is able to balance the scooter, should the
child be allowed to use the scooter unassisted, though not unsupervised. Please beware of the potential
dangers of using the scooter on public roads.
The scooter should not be used at hills, steep slopes, roads and where vehicles or animals may have
access or be present. Obey all local traffic and scooter riding laws and regulations. Watch out for
pedestrians.
Ride on smooth paved surfaces away from motor vehicles.
Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates and sudden surface changes. Scooter may suddenly stop.
Avoid streets and surfaces with water, sand, gravel, dirt, leaves and other debris.
When used in and around a dwelling the scooter should be kept away from hazardous areas such as
kitchens, stairs, patio windows etc.
Wet weather impairs traction, braking and visibility.
Don’t ride at night or during poor visibility.
Avoid excessive speed associated with downhill rides.
Do not make acrobatic performances and use always both hands. It is most important that the rider
always looks in the direction the scooter is travelling and takes care to avoid other children or unforeseen
obstructions.
Do not use it after consuming any alcohol or drugs.
Never allow the user to put any part of the scooter in their mouth or to attempt to put any part of his or her
body, or any plaything into the moveable or moving parts of the scooter. The rider should be instructed

accordingly.
Remove any sharp edges while using the scooter.
Brakes will get hot from continuous use. Do not touch after braking.
Please ensure that you carefully read all instructions contained in this booklet.
CLEANING
Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Do not use industrial cleaners or solvents as they may
damage the surfaces. Do not use alcohol, alcohol-based or ammonia-based cleaners as they may damage or
dissolve the plastic components or soften the decals or decal adhesive. It’s recommended to clean and dry
the scooter after each use. Store it in its original carton when not in use. Keep it away from any corrosive
materials.
WASTE DISPOSAL
Dispose the scooter through a private or state recycling agency. Please beaware of the updated official
directives. Please contact the recycling agency in case of doubt.

ASSEMBLER VOTRE TROTTINETTE
IMPORTANT : Sortez la trottinette de son carton d’emballage et lisez les instructions d’assemblage de cette
notice d’utilisation avant d’assembler votre trottinette. Les instructions sont fournies étape par étape.
Conservez tous les éléments d'emballage tant que le produit n’est pas entièrement assemblé.
MÉCANISME DE PLIAGE
La roue avant et leguidon sont articuléspar une charnière à l’avant du plateau. Pour ouvrir le scooter dans sa
position de conduite, appuyez simplement sur le bouton rouge et soulevez la colonne du guidon. Lorsque le
guidon et la roue avant sont dans la bonne position de conduite, le mécanisme de pliage s'enclenche et se
verrouille. Pour replier le scooter à plat, appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton et déplacez la colonne vers le bas,
jusqu'à ce que le mécanisme de verrouillage s'enclenche.

GUIDON
a) Insérez les poignées gauche et droite dans le tube en T en haut du tube vertical de guidon. Vérifiez que
les boutons à ressort des poignées sont solidement insérés dans les trous.
b) Pour régler la hauteur du guidon sur l’une des quatre hauteurs possibles, déverrouillez le levier de
serrage rapide et tirez le guidon vers le haut. Le bouton à ressort s’insère dans le premier trou, pour modifier
encore la hauteur du guidon, appuyez sur ce bouton à ressort tout en tirant le guidon vers le haut. Veillez
toujours à solidement refermer le levier de serrage rapide.
INSPECTION AVANT UTILISATION
AVERTISSEMENT : Inspectez et serrez toutes les fixations avant chaque utilisation. Vérifiez que les leviers
et colliers de serrage des tubes vertical et d’extension du guidon, et que les boutons à ressort des poignées
et guidon sont solidement verrouillés avant d’utiliser la trottinette. Maintenez vos doigts éloignés du
mécanisme de rotation lorsque vous pliez ou dépliez la trottinette. Veillez à ce que
les autres personnes restent éloignées. Inspectez régulièrement la trottinette pour
détecter une éventuelle usure des roues, des moyeux et du mécanisme de
freinage. Toutes les fixations doivent être inspectées par sécurité.
COLLIER DE SERRAGE
Avec une clé 6 pans d’une taille appropriée, vérifiez que la vis du collier de serrage
est solidement serrée. Cette pièce est serrée et sa qualité est contrôlée en usine,
mais il est possible que la vis se desserre pendant l’expédition et la manutention.
Mise en garde : Si vous ne fermez pas le levier de serrage rapide, la hauteur du
tube en T de guidon peut changer brusquement (vers le haut ou le bas) pendant
l’utilisation, ce qui peut vous faire perdre le contrôle de la trottinette et vous faire tomber. Quand le levier de
serrage rapide est correctement réglé et serré, la hauteur du guidon ne change pas, ni vers le haut ni vers le
bas.
ROUES, PNEUS, ROULEMENTS DE ROUE
Dans des conditions normales, les roues et les roulements de roues ne nécessitent pas d’entretien.
Néanmoins, il est de la responsabilité de l’utilisateur ou du superviseur d’inspecter régulièrement les roues
pour vérifier qu’elles ne sont pas usées, d’inspecter leur moyeu pour vérifier qu’ils sont serrés, leur roulement
pour vérifier qu’ils n’ont pas de jeu latéral, et l’ensemble de la trottinette pour vérifier qu’aucune pièce n’est
desserrée. Si une roue ou un roulement de roue a du jeu, cela indique une usure excessive, il faut alors
remplacer la pièce. Remplacez immédiatement les roues avec des roues d’origine. Les
pneus/roues/roulements de roue sont considéréscomme des pièces d’usure normale et ne sont pas couverts
par la garantie.
Les roues et les boulons de moyeu sont fixés par des vis et des écrous de blocage qui ne se desserrent pas
lors d’une utilisation normale. Néanmoins, pour votre sécurité, vérifiez que les groupes écrou-vis sont serrés
avant chaque utilisation. Si l’un d’eux se desserre à la suite d’un impact violent, contactez le revendeur pour
le faire inspecter et resserrer, car un dispositif de blocage du filetage est nécessaire pour garantir un
assemblage parfait. Les roulements de roues ne nécessitent aucune maintenance particulière (autre que la
lubrification, voir le chapitre ENTRETIEN). Lorsqu’un roulement de roue est usé ou que son fonctionnement
n’est plus fluide, changez-le.
CHANGEMENT DES ROUES
Pour changer les roues, dévissez les essieux avec 2 clés Allen et enlevez les roues des essieux. A l’aide de
la clé Allen, vous pouvez sortir les roulements des roues pour pouvoir les réutiliser dans les roues neuves ;

néanmoins, il est conseillé de toujours changer les roulements en même temps que les roues. Mettez les
roulements dans les roues neuves avec l’entretoise, puis montez-les sur l’armature avec les vis de l’essieu.
Assurez-vous que l’essieu est solidement vissé avant de réutiliser la trottinette !
MÉTHODE D’UTILISATION ET DE FREINAGE
Placez un pied sur le plateau et poussez vers l’avant avec votre autre pied tout en contrôlant la direction.
Pour tourner plus facilement, penchez-vous légèrement du côté vers lequel vous voulez tourner. Pour vous
arrêter, freinez en appuyant avec le pied sur le frein arrière. Nous vous recommandons de vous entraîner à
freiner à différentes vitesses dans un endroit ouvert et sans obstacle avant d’utiliser votre trottinette dans les
endroits où il y a d’autres personnes.
Contrôlez l’efficacité du frein après chaque utilisation. Le frein chauffe quand il est actionné en continu. Ne le
touchez pas après avoir freiné.
ENTRETIEN
Inspectez fréquemment la trottinette pour vous assurer que les écrous, lesvis et les fixations sont tous serrés
et qu’aucune pièce n’est usée ou endommagée.
Inspectez toujours la trottinette avant de l’utiliser, inspectez notamment les écrous frein et toutes les
autres fixations autobloquantes.
Inspectez régulièrement les roues et le mécanisme du frein pour détecter une usure anormale.
Remplacez les roues quand cela est nécessaire.
Il est important de remplacer les poignées de guidon endommagées ou usées.
Lubrifiez régulièrement et légèrement avec une huile légère les pièces mobiles : les moyeux avant et
arrière, et le jeu de direction.
N’apportez aucune modification autre que celles mentionnées dans cette notice d’utilisation.
CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ

Le produit doit être assemblé par les adultes. Les adultes doivent aider les enfants lors des réglages
initiaux pour déplier la trottinette, régler le guidon et la hauteur du guidon, ainsi que lors du pliage de la
trottinette.
Cette trottinette n’est pas un jouet et doit être utilisée sous la supervision directe des adultes.
Ne convient pas pour lesenfants de moins de 36mois à cause de la présence de petites pièces et boules
pouvant être avalées ou inhalées par de jeunes enfants. Doit être assemblé par un adulte.
N’autorisez jamais plus d’un enfant à utiliser simultanément cette trottinette.

Vérifiez que l’enfant est confortablement positionné sur la trottinette entièrement assemblée et inspectée.
Montrez à l’enfant comment contrôler la direction jusqu’à ce qu’il maîtrise l’utilisation du guidon et des
poignées. Montrez comment arrêter la trottinette d’une manière non dangereuse. Le temps requis pour
qu’un enfant puisse maîtriser la trottinette et coordonner chaque mouvement peut considérablement
varier. C’est seulement lorsque l’enfant a atteint un niveau de maîtrise suffisant pour maintenir l’équilibre
de la trottinette qu’il peut être autorisé à l’utiliser sans assistance, mais il doit néanmoins toujours être
surveillé. Soyez conscient des dangers potentiels de l’utilisation de la trottinette sur les routes publiques.
La trottinette ne doit pas être utilisée sur des pentes fortes, des collines, des routes, ni dans les endroits
où des véhicules ou des animaux sont présents ou ont accès. Respectez toutes les lois et
réglementations locales concernant la circulation routière et l’utilisation des trottinettes. Faites attention
aux passants.
Utilisez la trottinette sur des surfaces pavées et lisses, à l’écart des véhicules à moteur.
Évitez les bosses hautes, les grilles de drainage et les changements brusques de la surface du sol. La
trottinette peut s’arrêter brusquement.
Évitez les rues et les surfaces où il y a de l’eau, du sable, du gravier, de la terre, des feuilles ou d’autres

Lors de l’utilisation dans et près d’une zone d’habitation, la trottinette doit rester éloignée des zones
dangereuses, par exemple des cuisines, des escaliers, des fenêtres de patio, etc.
S’il pleut, cela réduit la traction, le freinage et la visibilité.
N’utilisez pas la trottinette la nuit ou quand la visibilité est mauvaise.
Ne roulez pas à des vitesses excessives dans les pentes.
N’effectuez pas d’acrobatie et tenez toujours la trottinette à deux mains. Il est important que l’utilisateur
regarde toujours dans la direction d’avancement de la trottinette et veille à éviter les autres enfants et les
obstacles non prévus.
N’utilisez pas la trottinette après avoir consommé de l’alcool ou de la drogue.
N’autorisez jamais l’utilisateur à mettre une pièce de la trottinette dans sa bouche, ni à essayer de mettre
une partie de son corps ou un objet dans les pièces mobiles ou en mouvement de la trottinette.
L’utilisateur doit recevoir des instructions en ce sens.

NETTOYAGE
Essuyez le produit avec un chiffon humide pour en enlever les poussières et les saletés. N’utilisez pas de
nettoyant industriel ni de solvant, car ils peuvent endommager ses surfaces. N’utilisez pas d’alcool, ni de
nettoyant à base d’alcool ou d’ammoniaque, car ils peuvent endommager ou dissoudre les pièces en
plastique ou ramollir les décalcomanies et les adhésifs. Il est recommandé de nettoyer et de sécher la
trottinette après chaque utilisation. Rangez-la dans son carton d’origine quand vous ne l’utilisez pas. Veillezà
ce qu’elle reste à l’écart des substances corrosives.
MISE AU REBUT : Mettez la trottinette au rebut par l’intermédiaire d’un organisme de recyclage public ou
privé. Prenez connaissance des directives officielles mises àjour. Contactez l’agence de recyclageen cas
de doute.
