INTRODUCTION
This manual rovides detailed instructions for the installation work, o eration and maintenance instructions of the
CHARDER R230 Scale, lease read this manual com letely before installing and o erating scale.
Safety Precautions
Please follow these safety recautions:
• Verify AC Ada ter in ut voltage matches the local AC ower su ly.
• Do not insert liquids or foreign object.
• Do not o erate the scale in hostile environments.
• Do not dro loads or leave ermanent load on the latform. This may damage the measuring system.
• Do not lace the scale u side down on the an.
• Do not o en the scale. Never attem t to make re airs yourself because this could be dangerous. The warranty is
void if this sti ulation is ignored. The scale may only be o ened by authorized ersonnel.
• Always disconnect the device from the ower su ly before installing, servicing, cleaning or erforming
maintenance.
• Check the ower cable regularly for damage. If it is damaged, immediately disconnect the device from the ower
su ly.

Parts Description
Selecting the Location
Select a firm, vibration-free and horizontal location for the scale. Avoid locations with direct sunlight, excessive air
current, heat sources, or ra id tem erature fluctuations.
Power
Connect the AC Ada tor to the AC mains su ly. Connect the lug to the AC jack on the bottom of the scale as shown
in the illustration below. The ower outlet should be close to the scale and easily accessible.
Battery Power
Build-in Rechargeable-battery. Only Charder rechargeable battery ack can ower and charge for R230 scale.
The scale will automatically switch to battery o eration if there is a ower failure or the ower cord is removed to
rovide uninterru ted scale o eration. The scale can be o erated while batteries are recharging, and the battery is
rotected against overcharging. During charging, the battery indicator dis lays the charge level, the batteries should
be com letely charged when the battery indicator turns solid green.
Note: When low battery is dis layed, the scale will shut off after 30 seconds.
CAUTION:
Risk of ex losion can occur if re laced with the wrong ty e or connected im ro erly.
Do not use the battery for any ur ose other than those described in this manual.
Do not disassemble, re air or otherwise mani ulate the battery ack.
Obey the local laws and regulations on dis osing the battery.

Turning Scale On/Off
To turn the scale on, ress the [ON/OFF
button. Scale will dis lay and then enters the active weighing
mode.
To turn the scale off, ress the [ON/OFF button.
Zero Operation & Setting
When ower on the scale and if the weight on the scale is within the initial zero tolerance, the scale will dis lay zero
automatically.
Although there is nothing on the an and the dis lay is not zero, ress [TARE button to set zero to the scale.
Changing Units of Measure
In weighing mode, use [UNIT to dis lay the next available measuring unit. Re eat rocess to scroll through all units.
Checkweighing Mode
This mode sets low and high weight limits for ortion control rocesses.
Enter checkwighing mode
Press and hold [HOLD/TARGET button to enter checkweighing mode.
Setting target weight values
LOWER LIMIT SETTING
The first digit is dis layed flashing.

And the LCD turns no backlight.
Re eatedly ress [TARE

to acce t and move to the next digit.
Re eat until all the digits are correct.
And ress [HOLD/TARGET/OK to confirm the setting of
lower limit and then enter to high limit setting.
HIGH LIMIT SETTING
The first digit is dis layed flashing.
A triangle indicator will a ears next to the Over and
the LCD light u in red.
Re eatedly ress [TARE

digit.
Re eat until all the digits are correct.
And ress [HOLD/TARGET/OK to confirm setting.
Ready for Checkweighing
If required, lace an em ty container on the an and ress [TARE .
Return to Weighing mode
Press and hold [HOLD/TARGET button to return weighing mode.

Checkweighing Annunciators
The OVER, ACCEPT, and UNDER annunciators are to the right of the dis lay and the features as below.
WITHIN TARGET RANGE
The LCD light u in green and a triangle a ears next to
“Accept”, and you will hear 2 short bee s.
UNDER TARGET RANGE
The LCD light off and a triangle a ears next to “Under”
and no bee sound effect.
OVER TARGET RANGE
The LCD light u in red and a triangle a ears next to
“Over”, and you will hear continuous short bee s.
If the dis lay shows Err, this means weight exceeds
overload limit.
SETTINGS
Backlight Setting
Press [TARE and hold for 2 seconds to turn ON the backlight manually.
Press [TARE and hold for 2 seconds to turn OFF the backlight manually.
Tare Setting
Place an em ty container on the scale and ress [TARE . The dis lay will show a net value of “0”.
To clear the Tare value, ress [TARE with the an em ty.
Auto off Setting
Press and hold [UNIT for 6 seconds until the dis lay show
And dis lay will show A_OFF, ress [UNIT to select auto turn off time or off this function. And ress [ZERO and ress
[UNIT to see End to confirm setting.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Before cleaning, disconnect the ower lug from ower outlet and remove batteries from the a liance to ower off
the unit.
• Clean with a dam cloth and a mild soa or similar agents if necessary, and buffed dry with.
• Do not use any acids, alkalis or strong active solvents to clean the housing or control anels.

Troubleshooting

Charder scales are warranted against defects in material and workmanshi for a eriod of 1(one) year from the date
of urchase. Please retain your recei t as roof of urchase. Warranty ex iration on roducts returned without roof
of urchase will be determined from the manufacturing date code or the date of shi ment to the authorized dealer.
Coverage may be invalidated as this date is revious to urchase date. No other ex ress or im lied warranty is given
by Charder.
Freight damage on returns is not covered under warranty.
This warranty does not a ly for following reasons, the roduct has been damaged by accident or misuse, arts and
roducts of a consumable nature, ex osed to radioactive or corrosive materials, has foreign material enetrating to
the inside of the roduct, or as a result of service or modification by other than Charder.
