stato il nostro prodotto!
Il termometro è stato progettato
da un espertissimo gruppo di tecni-
ci e prodotto in conformità a tutte
le normative europee applicabili. Il
termometro rileva la radiazione in-
frarossa emessa dalla superficie della
fronte e converte questa misurazione
nell’equivalente temperatura orale.
Conservare il prodotto fuori dalla
portata dei bambini e non lasciare i
bambini incustoditi durante la misura-
zione. Il termometro contiene piccole
parti che potrebbero essere ingerite
accidentalmente dai bambini. In caso
di dubbi o di aumento della tempera-
tura, consultare il proprio medico.
TEMPERATURA CORPOREA
Come la pressione sanguigna, la tem-
peratura corporea varia da persona a
persona e subisce varie fluttuazioni
durante l’intera giornata, oscillando
tra 35.5°C e 37.8°C circa (95,9°F –
100°F). Per questi motivi, al fine di
determinare correttamente la tempe-
ratura, suggeriamo di conoscere il nor-
male livello di temperatura misurato
sulla fronte, in condizioni di salute,
nel corso delle varie ore del giorno. Si
tratta di un valido riferimento quando
si valuta qualsiasi aumento reale della
temperatura. Per determinare se si ha
la febbre, comparare la temperatura
rilevata con la temperatura normale
dell’individuo. Ricordarsi che un au-
mento pari o superiore ad 1°C (1,8°F)
rispetto alla temperatura corporea di
riferimento è solitamente indicativo di
febbre. Inoltre, diversi punti di misura-
zione (rettale, ascellare, orale, frontale,
auricolare) forniranno letture diverse
rendendo difficile produrre correlazioni
significative e obiettivamente valide
per ogni soggetto. Pertanto, è assolu-
tamente normale che la temperatura
corporea rilevata oralmente risulti
diversa da una misurazione ascellare
ed è errato eseguire un raffronto tra le
due. Di seguito indichiamo le normali
temperature per soggetti adulti in base
ai diversi punti di rilevamento:
rettale: 36,6 – 38°C / 97,9 – 100,4° F
ascellare: 34,7 – 37,3°C / 94,5 – 99,1° F
orale: 35,5 – 37,5°C / 95,9 – 99,5° F
auricolare: 35,8 – 38°C / 96,4 – 100,4° F
COME MISURARE LA
TEMPERATURA
Precauzioni
• Il termometro produce una compen-
sazione nella lettura della tempera-
tura frontale in base alla tempera-
tura ambiente. Per questa ragione,
per ottimizzare il risultato, prima di
ottenere la lettura della temperatu-
ra, il termometro deve permanere
nel locale dove si intende effettuare
la misurazione per almeno 20-25
minuti ed anche il soggetto a cui
deve essere rilevata la temperatura
deve trovarsi nella stessa stanza del

termometro da almeno 5 minuti
prima di procedere alla relativa mi-
surazione. Durante la misurazione
della temperatura, evitare il contatto
diretto con i raggi solari e altre fon-
ti di calore e il flusso diretto di aria
condizionata sulla fronte.
• Prima di procedere alla misurazione
delle temperatura, rimuovere dalla
fronte eventuali tracce di sudore, truc-
co, ecc. ed attendere qualche minuto
prima di eseguire la misurazione.
• Evitare di eseguire la misurazione nei
30 minuti successivi ad attività fisica,
bagno e assunzione di cibo.
• Se puntata in direzione di un oggetto
caldo, la sonda esegue la lettura della
temperatura a distanza. Per evitare
letture erronee, ridurre al minimo l’in-
tervallo che intercorre tra il momento
in cui il termometro indica “READY”
(PRONTO) e la scansione della fronte.
• Non toccare il sensore o la zona me-
tallica circostante con le dita. In caso
di impronte digitali residue, pulire
come indicato nella sezione “CURA
E MANUTENZIONE”.
MISURAZIONE
Premere il tasto ON/MEM. Saranno
emessi due bip e per circa due secondi
apparirà il display completo.
Una volta completata con successo
la sessione di autotest, il display del
termometro apparirà come indicato
nella figura 1

e sarà pronto per eseguire la misura-
zione.
In caso di messaggio di errore, fare
riferimento alla pagina 11.
Per eseguire la misurazione:
- Accertarsi sempre che il sensore sia
pulito e non riporti danneggiamenti,
e che la fronte sia pulita.
- Accendere il dispositivo premendo il
tasto “ON/MEM”.
Modalità FRONTE: la modalità pre-
sente nel termometro è quella relativa
alla fronte. Il termometro è pronto
all’uso non appena l’icona “Head”
(Testa) smette di lampeggiare e sono
emessi due bip.

L’arteria temporale è collegata al
cuore attraverso l’arteria carotidea. Il
dispositivo è progettato per eseguire
una misurazione sulla superficie cuta-

nea lungo l’arteria temporale, arteria
principale della testa (Fig.3).
Posizionare il dispositivo sul punto
di misurazione della fronte richiesto
(Fig. 4).
Premere il pulsante “Measure” e
scansionare l’intera area della tempia
con delicatezza (Fig. 5) scegliendo tra
il lato sinistro della tempia sinistra
o il lato destro della tempia destra.
La misurazione potrà considerarsi
completata all’emissione di un lungo
bip. (La durata della misurazione po-
trà variare tra 5~8 sec. (massimo 30
sec.) e dipende dal momento in cui il
termometro rileva la temperatura più
alta della fronte.)
Nota: la temperatura rilevata sulla
tempia destra può variare da quella
rilevata sulla tempia sinistra: ciò di-
pende dal fatto che la profondità e
la dimensione dell’arteria temporale
possano risultare diverse a destra e a
sinistra.
Il termometro è in grado di funzionare
anche in modalità SCAN. Per selezio-
nare la modalità SCAN:
con l’unità accesa (ON), tenere pre-
muto il pulsante “ON/MEN” e pre-
mere il tasto “Measure”. Nel display
a LCD apparirà così l’icona in so-
stituzione dell’icona “HEAD” (Testa)
(vedere figura 6).

Misurare la temperature in modalità
SCAN: premere il tasto “Measure” per
ottenere la temperature immediata-
mente, in circa 0.6 sec. Tenendo pre-
muto il pulsante SCAN, la lettura della
misurazione sarà aggiornata conti-
nuamente (questa modalità visualizza
la temperatura corrente grezza (non
corretta) degli oggetti, ed è diversa in
modalità FRONTE).
IMPORTANTE
Per ottenere risultati accurati, rivolge-
re sempre il termometro in direzione
di una stessa area sulla fronte tutte le
volte che si rileva la temperatura. In
caso di misurazioni ripetitive, scansi-
re sempre la stessa area della fronte.
In caso di misurazioni consecutive,
attendere almeno 2 minuti al fine di
evitare un surriscaldamento del sen-
sore che potrebbe causare una lettura
errata dei valori.
Tenere il termometro trop-
po a lungo e/o esporre il
dispositivo a fonti di calore
esterne potrebbe causare
una lettura superiore della tempera-
tura ambiente da parte del sensore.
Per questo motivo, la misurazione
della temperatura dell’oggetto/ tem-
peratura corporea potrebbe risultare
inferiore al normale.
FUNZIONE MEMORY
Con il termometro acceso (ON),
premere il pulsante “ON/MEM” per
visualizzare la temperatura memoriz-
zata. Questo termometro è provvisto
di memoria in grado di conservare
sino a 25 serie di rilevazioni tra le ul-
time effettuate. (A termometro spen-
to, la memoria salva i dati dell’ultima

misurazione).

Modicare la modalità di misurazione
sul display LCD da °C a °F: con il dispo-
sitivo spento (OFF), tenere premuto il
pulsante “Measure”. Successivamente
premere e mantenere premuto il pul-
sante “ON/MEM” sino a che il display
LCD non mostra ‘°F’, quindi rilasciare il
pulsante “Measure”. Seguire la stessa
procedura per modificare il display a
LCD da °F a °C.
ALLARME FEBBRE
Se il termometro rileva una tempe-
ratura ≥37.5°C (o 99.5°F) in modalità
FRONTE, un lungo segnale acustico
seguito da tre brevi bip avvertirà
l’utente della presenza di febbre po-
tenziale.
SPEGNIMENTO
Il dispositivo si spegnerà automati-
camente se inutilizzato per oltre 1
minuto per prolungare la durata della
batteria o (solo per la modalità fronte)
se premuto il pulsante ON/MEN per 5
secondi. Alla successiva accensione,
tornerà all’impostazione di default
della funzione temperatura “HEAD”.
CURA E MANUTENZIONE
Il sensore (evidenziato nella figura 7)
rappresenta la parte più delicata del
termometro.
Maneggiare con cura durante la pu-
lizia del sensore per evitare danneg-
giamenti.

a. Mantenere il dispositivo asciutto e
lontano da liquidi e dai raggi diretti
del sole.
b. Utilizzare tamponi imbevuti di al-
col o cotone leggero imbevuto di
alcol al 70% per pulire il sensore e
la superficie in plastica a contatto
con la cute.
c. Pulire la superficie di contatto dopo
ogni uso per evitare contaminazioni
incrociate. Pulire il sensore in pre-
senza di tracce di sporco per assicu-
rare una lettura accurata.
Lasciare asciugare completamente il
sensore per almeno 1 minuto.
Note importanti:
1. Assicurarsi che il sensore sia pulito.
2. Prima di effettuare una misurazio-
ne, permanere in ambiente stabile
per 5 minuti ed evitare esercizio
fisico e bagni per 30 minuti.
3. Ricordarsi di mantenere la zona del-
la tempia pulita e priva di sudore,
cosmetici e graffi prima di rilevare
la temperatura.
4. Durante la misurazione, mantenere
lontano da vento e luce.
IMPORTANTE: il termometro NON

è a prova d’acqua. Conservare il di-
spositivo in luogo asciutto e lontano
da liquidi. Temperatura di stoccaggio:
-20°C~ 50°C (-4°F~122°F)
COME POSIZIONARE/
SOSTITUIRE LA BATTERIA
Il dispositivo è fornito di batteria al
litio (CR2032x1pz)
Aprire il vano portabatterie ruotando
il coperchio in senso orario di 45°.
Rimuovere la linguetta di sicurezza
della batteria con un oggetto appun-
tito.
Inserire una nuova batteria sotto il
gancetto in metallo e premere verso il
basso sino ad udire un click.
Chiudere il coperchio della batteria
ruotando di nuovo di 45°.
Attenzione: sostituire solo con batte-
rie di tipo CR 2032
Non utilizzare batterie di altro tipo al
fine di prevenire rischi di incendio o
esplosione.
Attenzione: la batteria può esplode-
re se non maneggiata con cura. Non
ricaricare, smontare, surriscaldare o
incenerire.
Mantenere la batteria fuori dalla por-
tata dei bambini.
Per lo smaltimento del termome-
tro fare riferimento alla direttiva
2002/96/CE (vedere pagina 12) e per
lo smaltimento delle batterie alla nor-
ma 2006/66/CE (vedere pagina 13).

2. Dispositivi di radiomobili e portatili
possono influire sul funzionamento
delle apparecchiature elettrome-
dicali. In presenza di interferenze
elettromagnetiche, è consigliabile
ripetere la misurazione della tem-
peratura nel caso in cui i valori ot-
tenuti siano incerti.

Il termometro è garantito contro ogni difetto di fabbricazione, in normali con-
dizioni di uso, secondo quanto previsto nel manuale di istruzioni, per un periodo
di due anni dalla data di acquisto. Questa garanzia non sarà applicata in caso
di danni derivanti da un utilizzo improprio. In caso di riparazione nel periodo
di garanzia, inviare il termometro con relativa prova d’acquisto (da esibire) al
distributore che si occuperà della riparazione o della sostituzione gratuita.

1) Per la modalità fronte, sostare in am-
biente stabile per 5 minuti ed evitare
attività fisica e bagni per 30 minuti;
quindi, assicurarsi che la lente della
sonda risulti pulita prima di proce-
dere a una nuova misurazione della
temperatura.
2) Per la modalità scan, selezionare il
target entro le specifiche.
- Se il malfunzionamento persiste, con-
tattare il rivenditore più vicino.
La temperatura rilevata è infe-
riore a 34°C(93.2°F) per la mo-
dalità fronte e a -22°C (-7,6°F)
per la modalità scan.
Il dispositivo non consente l’ac-
censione alla fase READY.
Cambiare la batteria con una nuova.

Se il termometro alterna la visualizza-
zione delle seguenti figure
significa che il dispositivo si trova
in modalità Calibrazione. In questo
modo, i risultati non sono precisi. Per
un funzionamento corretto del termo-
metro, spegnere il dispositivo e accen-
derlo nuovamente.

smaltite come rifiuto urbano, ma

mento dell’acquisto di pile ricaricabili
e non ricaricabili nuove equivalenti.
L’eventuale simbolo chimico Hg, Cd,
Pb, posto sotto al cestino barrato
indica il tipo di sostanza contenuta
nella pila, Hg=Mercurio, Cd=Cadmio,
Pb=Piombo. L’utente è responsabile
del conferimento delle pile a fine vita
alle appropriate strutture di raccolta
al fine di agevolare il trattamento
e il riciclaggio. L’adeguata raccolta
differenziata per l’avvio successi-
vo delle pile esauste al riciclaggio,
al trattamento e allo smaltimento
ambientalmente compatibile con-
tribuisce ad evitare possibili effetti
negativi sull’ambiente e sulla salute
umana e favorisce il riciclo delle so-
stanze di cui sono composte le pile.
Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto

This thermometer was designed by a
very experienced group of engineers
and was produced in conformance to
all the applicable European Standards.
The thermometer measures the in-
frared emission from the forehead
surface and converts these measure-
ments into an oral equivalent tem-
perature.
Keep the product away from children
and don’t leave the children alone
while taking measurement. This
thermometer contains small parts
which could be accidentally eaten by
children.
In case of doubts or temperature rise,
consult your doctor
BODY TEMPERATURE
Like blood pressure, body tempera-
ture varies from person to person
and undergoes different fluctuations
during the course of the day, running
approximately from 35,5°C to 37,8°C
(95,9°F – 100°F). For these reasons, to
correctly determine the temperature
it is suggested to know one’s normal,
healthy forehead temperature at vari-
ous times of the day. This will provide
a valid reference when evaluating any
real rise in temperature. To determine
if one has a fever, compare the tem-
perature detected with the person’s
normal temperature. Remember, a
rise over the reference body temper-
ature of 1°C (1,8°F) or more is gen-
erally indication of fever. More than
this, different measurement sites
(rectal, axillary, oral, frontal, auricular)
will give different readings and it is
hard to make correlations which are
significant and objectively valid for
each person. It is therefore absolutely
normal that body temperature taken
orally will be different from an axil-
lary measurement and it is wrong to
compare the two. Here below typical
temperatures for adults, based on dif-
ferent measurement sites:
- Rectal: 36,6 – 38°C / 97,9 – 100,4° F
- Axillary: 34,7 – 37,3°C / 94,5 – 99,1° F
- Oral: 35,5 – 37,5°C / 95,9 – 99,5° F
- Auricular:35,8 – 38°C / 96,4 – 100,4° F
HOW TO MEASURE
TEMPERATURE
Precautions
• The thermometer compensates the
reading of the forehead’s tempera-
ture based on the room’s tempera-
ture. For this reason, to optimise the
result, before taking the reading, the
thermometer should be at least 20-
25 minutes in the room where the
temperature will be measured and
the person whose temperature is
being taken should be in the same
room for 5 minutes before the meas-
urement. Avoid direct sunlight, re-
place heat and direct air conditioner

flow on the forehead while taking the
temperature.
• Clean the forehead from sweat,
makeup, etc., and wait a few minutes

. Avoid measuring temperature for 30
minutes after physical exercise, bath-
ing or eating.
• When pointed at a hot object, the
probe reads temperature at a dis-
tance. To avoid erroneous readings,
minimise the time from when the
thermometer indicates “READY” to
when it scans the forehead.
• Do not touch the sensor or the sur-
rounding metallic part with your
fingers. If there are fingerprint marks,
clean as indicated in “CARE AND
MAINTENANCE”
MEASUREMENT
Press ON/MEM button, you will hear
two beeps and the complete screen
will appear for about two second.
If the auto test is passed the ther-
mometer will display the screen as
the fig.1

and it is ready to take the measure-
ment.
In case of error messages please refer
to page 20.
To take the measurement:
- Always make sure the sensor is clean
without any damage, and the fore-
head is clean.
- Power on: Press the “ON/MEM”
button.
- Mode selection:
FOREHEAD Mode: The present mode
of thermometer is forehead. The ther-
mometer is ready for use after the
“Head” icon stops ashing and two
beeps are sounded.

The temporal artery is connected to
the heart via the carotid artery. It is
designed to measure the skin surface
over the temporal artery, a major ar-
tery of the head ( Fig.3 ).
Attach the device to the required
measurement location on the fore-
head ( Fig.4 ).

Press the “Measure” button, and gen-
tly scan around the temple area( Fig.5
) , you can select the left side of the
left temples or the right side of the
right temples. Measurement has been
completed after a long beep is heard.
(The time of measurement might be
between 5~8sec (up to 30sec). That
depends on when the thermometer
get the highest temperature of the
forehead.)
Note: the temperature can be differ-
ent between right and left temple: it
depends on the fact that the deepness
and the dimension of the temporal
artery can be different in left and
right part.
The thermometer can work in SCAN
Mode too. To select the SCAN mode:
While the unit is ON, hold down the
“ON/MEM” button, and press the
“Measure” button, then the icon
will replace “HEAD” icon in the LCD
display (see figure 6)

mode: When you press the “Measure”
button, you will get the temperature
immediately about 0.6 sec. If you
hold down the scan button, the read-
ing of measurement will be continu-
ous updated. (This mode shows the
actual, unadjusted temperatures of
the objects, which is different with the
forehead mode.)
IMPORTANT
To constantly obtain accurate results,
always direct the thermometer to the
same area of the forehead every time
you measure temperature. To take
repeated measurements, always scan
the same area of the forehead. Wait
for at least 2 minutes between con-
secutive measurements to avoid
the overheating of the sensor, which
may detect non-consistent values.
Holding the thermometer
too long and/or expose the device to
external heating source may cause a
higher ambient temperature reading
of the sensor. This could make the
body temperature / object tempera-
ture measurement lower than usual.
MEMORY FUNCTION
While the thermometer is On, press
the “ON/MEM” button to see the
temperature stored. This thermom-
eter provides 25 sets memory for
the last measurements. ** Please be
noted that only the “HEAD” func-
tion’s reading will be recorded. (When
the thermometer is turned off, the
last measurement data is saved into
memory.)

To change the LCD from °C to °F:
When the unit is OFF, hold down the
“Measure” button, then press and
hold the “ON/MEM” button until

the LCD shows ‘°F’, then release the
“Measure” button. Use the same proc-
ess to change the LCD display from
°F to °C.
FEVER ALARM
If the thermometer detects a temper-
ature ≥37.5°C (or 99.5°F) under fore-
head mode, a long beeping sound fol-
lowed by three short beeping sounds
to warn the user for potential fever.
POWER OFF
Device will automatically power off
if left idle for more than 1 minute to
extend battery life or (only for the
forehead mode) keeping press the
ON/MEM button for 5 seconds. In
next power on, it will get back to the
default setting of “HEAD” tempera-
ture function.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The sensor (highlighted on the fig.7)
is the most delicate part of the ther-
mometer.
Use with care when cleaning the sen-
sor to avoid damage.

HOW TO FIT/REPLACE THE
BATTERY
1. It is supplied with one lithium cell
(CR2032x1pcs)
2. Open the battery compartment by
turning the cover 45° clockwise.
3. Remove the battery safety strip
with a sharp-pointed object.

4. Insert a new battery under the
metal hook and press down until
you hear a click sound
5. Close the battery cover turning it
45° back.

ing battery types CR 2032
Do not use other types of batteries
to prevent the risk of fire or explosion.
