HOW TO PLUG IN YOUR PHONE
- Ensure your phone cable is plugged into the
Internet labelled port at the back of the phone
- Plug the cable into LAN port modem/switch
- Your phone screen will appear as configured
with your name or extension and any other
colleagues’ numbers
HOW TO PLACE A CALL
- Enter a number
- Press the Call soft key
HOW TO ANSWER A CALL
- Press the Answer soft key, or
- Lift the handset
HOW TO END A CALL
- Press the End Call soft key, or
-Hang up the handset
Commonly used Codes
*2<phone Number># – Forwarding On
*3# – Forwarding Off
*5# – Call Pick up
HOW TO HOLD A CALL
- Press the Hold soft key, or the Hold button
-Press the resume soft key, or the Hold button

HOW TO BLIND TRANSFER A CALL
Blind Transfer enables you to transfer a call to
another party without announce the call prior to
transferring it
- While on a call press the next page soft key
- Press BlindXfer soft key
- Enter the transfer destination number
- Press the Call soft key to complete the transfer
HOW TO ACCESS MESSAGES
- Press the Messages button on the handset
- Follow the prompts to access the Voice
Portal to:
-- retrieve Voice Mail messages and
-- record greetings

HOW TO FORWARD A CALL
Setting Forwarding on your desk phone allows
calls to be sent to an alternative number.
Forwarding all calls can be set on your phone
To enable Forwarding
- Press the Forward soft key
- Enter either internal or external number to
forward your calls to
- Press the Call soft key
An arrow icon will appear at the top of your phone
screen indicating you have enabled call
forwarding and the number the calls are being
forwarded to
To disable Forwarding
- Press the Clrfwd soft key
The arrow icon indicator at the top of the phone
screen will disappear
HOW TO CONSULT TRANSFER A CALL
Consult Transfer enables you to transfer a call to
another party and announce the call prior to
transferring it
- While on a call press the next page soft key
- Press the Transfer soft key, OR press the
Transfer button
- Enter the transfer destination number
- When the party answers, announce the call
- Press the Transfer soft key, or the Transfer
button again to complete the transfer
If the party refuses the call (prior to pressing
Transfer a second time)
- Press the End call soft key to terminate call with
the 3rd party
- Press the Resume soft key to be returned to the
original caller
HOW TO START A CONFERENCE CALL
To create an ad hoc conference call with up to
3 parties (you and up to 2 other parties) can talk
on a call
While on a call
- Press the Conf soft key, or the Conference button
- Enter the required number or extension of the
next party
- Press the Call soft key
When the call connects
- Press the Conf soft key, or the Conference button
to connect all parties
- Repeat the instructions above to add other parties
to your conference call
- Press the End call soft key to end the conference
(this ends the call for all parties)

HOW TO ADD A CONTACT TO THE
PERSONAL ADDRESS BOOK
Numbers that you dial frequently can be added to
the personal Address Book
- Press the Address book icon on your phone
- With 1. Personal Address Book highlighted,
press Select
- Choose the Add soft key
- Enter a name for the contact you are adding,
scroll down
- Enter the number for the contact you are adding
- Select Save
To dial a name in a Personal Address book
- Press the Address book icon on your phone
- With 1. Personal Address Book highlighted,
press Select
- Scroll down to select the required number
- Press the Call soft key
Your Jabra 65 or 75 Evolve headset can be paired with your Cisco 8851 phone.
The charging stand for the headsets can be purchased separately.
- Take the headset out of the box
- Press the Settings button on the phone
- Scroll down to 4. Bluetooth, select ON
- Scroll down and enter Devices, press Scan
- Press the bluetooth switch on the headset at the same time
- When Jabra Evolve 65 appears on the screen get it paired
- A tick will appear on the phone screen next to the headset icon when the headset is paired
- Press Back arrow to get back to the main menu
- When a call arrives on your phone, to answer the call, either press the Answer soft key, or
tap the right ear side of your headset
