Montage und erste Inbetriebnahme dieser Funkfern-
bedienung dürfen nur durch einen anerkannten
Fachhandwerksbetrieb erfolgen, der dabei für die
Beachtung der bestehenden Normen und Installations-
vorschriften voll verantwortlich ist. Wir übernehmen
keine Haftung für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung
dieser Anleitung entstehen. Lesen Sie diese Anleitung
komplett durch, bevor Sie die Funkfernbedienung in
Betrieb nehmen.
Die Bedienung am Gerät und an der Funkfern-
bedienung sind gleichberechtigt. Die zuletzt einge-
stellte Temperatur wird vom Durchlauferhitzer ange-
wendet. Stellen Sie sicher, dass nicht ungewollt eine
zu hohe Temperatur gewählt wird. Wir empfehlen die
Funktion der Temperaturbegrenzung (siehe Anleitung
Durchlauferhitzer) zu aktivieren.
Leere Batterien können auslaufen und die Funk-
fernbedienung beschädigen. Daher sind die Batterien
bei aufleuchtendem Batteriesymbol im Display oder
fehlender Reaktion auf Tastendruck sofort zu ersetzen.
Bei längerer Nichtbenutzung der Funkfernbedienung

up for the first time by an authorized specialized com-
pany. Responsibility for compliance with the applicable
standards and installation regulations rests entirely
on the company installing the appliance. We cannot
accept any liability for damage and losses due to non-
compliance with these instructions. Read this manual
completely before starting up the remote control.
The handling of the appliance and the remote control
are equitable. The last set temperature will be used by
the instantaneous water heater. Make sure not to set
a high temperature, inadvertently. We recommend to
activate the temperature limit function (see manual of
the instantaneous water heater).
Flat batteries can leak and damage the remote control.
Hence, replace flat batteries right away as soon as
battery symbol lights up in the display or the remote
control does not response after keystroke.
When the remote control is not to be used in the long
term, remove the batteries.
Do not expose the remote control to moisture.

Die Funkfernbedienung FX gestattet die komfortable
Bedienung der Durchlauferhitzer CEX, DEX und DSX
auch dann, wenn der Durchlauferhitzer unter einem
Waschtisch oder im Nebenraum installiert ist. Eine
energieeffiziente und bedarfsgerechte Wahl der
Wassertemperatur ist mit der Funkfernbedienung FX
auch unter diesen Bedingungen weiterhin möglich.
Die Kommunikation zwischen Funkfernbedienung
und Durchlauferhitzer findet bidirektional statt. Durch
diese Technologie ist eine sichere Datenübermittlung
auch unter schwierigen Installationsbedingungen
sichergestellt.
Diese Funkfernbedienung ist zu allen CEX-Durchlauf-
erhitzern kompatibel.
Diese Funkfernbedienung ist ebenfalls zu DEX- und
DSX-Durchlauferhitzern kompatibel, die ab August
2012 (ab Seriennummer 512213-xxxxxx) hergestellt
wurden.
The FX remote control allows a convenient operation
of the instantaneous water heaters CEX, DEX and DSX
even if the heater is installed under a sink or in a sec-
ondary room. An energy-efficient and adequate choice
of the water temperature is furthermore possible
under these conditions with the FX remote control.
The communication between the remote control and
the instantaneous water heater is bi-directional. Due
to this technology the data transfer is secured even
under difficult installation conditions.
This remote control is compatible to all CEX instante-
neous water heaters.
This remote control is also compatible to DEX and
DSX instanteneous water heaters, which have been
manufactured after August 2012 (serial numbers as of
512213-xxxxxx).

5.1 Wandhalter montieren
t Prüfen Sie vor der Montage des Wandhalters,
ob die Funkfernbedienung an der vor-
gesehenen Position Funkkontakt zum
Durchlauferhitzer aufnehmen kann.
t Der Wandhalter der Funkfernbedienung kann wahl-
weise mit den beiden Klebestreifen nach Abziehen
der Schutzfolien auf eine feste Unterlage (z.B.
Fliese) geklebt werden (Abb. 1) oder mit geeigne-
ten Dübeln (Ø 4mm) und Schrauben an der Wand
montiert werden (Abb. 2).
t Bei Verwendung der Klebestreifen ist nach dem
Andrücken keine Positionskorrektur mehr mög-
lich, da der Kleber eine sehr hohe Klebkraft
besitzt. Achten Sie daher auf eine waagerechte
Ausrichtung beim Aufkleben.
t Die Funkfernbedienung wird magnetisch am
Wandhalter gehalten.
5.1 Mounting the wall bracket
t Before attaching the wall bracket to the wall,
ensure that the remote control has radio con-
tact to the instantaneous water heater from
its designated position.
t The wall bracket of the remote control can either
be attached securely with the included adhesive
tape, after stripping off the protection film (as
shown in the fig. 1) on a plain surface (e.g. a tile)
or with suitable dowels (Ø 4mm) and screws (as
shown in the fig. 2).
t When using the adhesive tape it is not possible
to adjust the position afterwards because of the
strong adherence of the glue. Therefore, pay atten-
tion to a horizontal alignment when attaching it.
t The remote control is magnetically retained at the
wall bracket.

In delivery condition, the remote control is regis-
terd to radio channel 50. We recommend chan-
ging this channel at the initial installation.
1. Make sure that the power supply to the instantane-
ous water heater is switched on (fuse) and that the
CEX, DEX or DSX display shows the latest set value.
2. After inserting the batteries in the remote control,
its display indicates all symbols for about 4 sec-
onds. During this time, press and hold the arrow
buttons and for a short time. Then the display
shows the current channel (1 to 99) and a flashing
radio symbol.
3. Using the arrow buttons and chooses the
desired channel. Press button to confirm the
selected channel number. The display changes
to registration mode and shows “--“as well as a
flashing radio symbol.
4. Place the remote control directly in front of the
instantaneous water heater.
5. The display switches to the setpoint value display.
Hinweis: Im Lieferzustand ist die Funkfern-
bedienung auf dem Standardfunkkanal 50 ange-
meldet. Wir empfehlen bei der Erstinstallation
den Funkkanal zu ändern.
1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Stromzufuhr zum Durch-
lauferhitzer eingeschaltet ist (Sicherungen) und
das CEX-, DEX- bzw. DSX-Display den aktuellen
Sollwert anzeigt.
2. Nach dem Einlegen der Batterien in die Funkfern-
bedienung leuchten alle Symbole ihres Displays für
ca. 4Sekunden. Halten Sie während dieser Zeit die
Pfeiltasten und kurz gedrückt. Die Anzeige
zeigt dann den aktuellen Kanal (1 bis 99) mit blin-
kendem Funksymbol an.
3. Wählen Sie mit den Pfeiltasten und die
gewünschte Kanalnummer. Bestätigen Sie den
Kanal mit der Taste . Die Anzeige wechselt in den
Anmeldemodus und zeigt »--« und ein blinkendes
Funksymbol.
4. Halten Sie die Funkfernbedienung unmittelbar vor
den Durchlauferhitzer.

5. Das Display der Funkfernbedienung wechselt zur
Sollwertanzeige.
War die Anmeldung nicht erfolgreich, wechselt die
Anzeige nach 45Sekunden auf »no« mit blinken-
dem Funksymbol. Die Funkfernbedienung beendet
den Anmeldeversuch und befindet sich dann im
Stromsparmodus. Durch Drücken einer beliebigen Taste
wird der Anmeldevorgang erneut gestartet.
Hinweise:
t Bei nicht angemeldeter Funkfernbedienung bzw.
bei Verlust des Funkkontakts bleibt die zuletzt ein-
gestellte Temperatur erhalten.
t Nach einem Batteriewechsel ist keine erneute
Anmeldung erforderlich.
t Eine erneute Anmeldung nur nach durchgeführtem
Werksreset am CEX, DEX und DSX oder bei dauer-
haft leuchtender Anzeige »no« durchführen.
In the case of an unsuccessful registration the display
indicates “no” by a flashing radio signal after 45 sec-
onds. The remote control quits the registration process
and switches to standby mode. By pressing a button
the registration process will be repeated.
Notes:
t With no remote control registered or without work-
ing radio connection, the instantaneous water
heater heats to the prior selected set temperature.
t After replacing the batteries, a new registration is
not required.
t Only register again after performed work reset at
the CEX, DEX and DSX or when the display conti-
nually indicates “no”.

Mit der Funkfernbedienung stehen die folgenden
Funktionen zur Verfügung:
1. Pfeiltasten
Mit den beiden Pfeiltasten und können Sie die
Wunschtemperatur schrittweise verringern oder erhö-
hen.
Hinweis: Wird mit der Pfeiltaste die
Temperaturanzeige auf »--« eingestellt, schaltet
der Durchlauferhitzer die Heizfunktion ab.
2. Programmtasten
Durch einen kurzen Druck auf die Programmtasten
und gelangen Sie unmittelbar zu den voreingestell-
ten Temperaturen, ohne mehrfach die und Tasten
drücken zu müssen.
The remote control is equipped with the following

heater switches off the heating function.

Programmtasten mit eigenen Einstellungen belegen:

The factory setting for programme is 35°C and for
programme it is 48°C. You can assign your own set-
tings for the programme buttons:

Die Darstellung entspricht der Temperaturanzeige des
CEX-, DEX- bzw. DSX-Displays, wenn eine Taste an der
Funkfernbedienung gedrückt wurde. Die Beschreibung
der Funktionen entnehmen Sie bitte der Anleitung des
Durchlauferhitzers.
Funkverbindung
Die Displayanzeigen der Durchlauferhitzer CEX
und DSX zeigen ein Funksymbol an, wenn
eine Funkfernbedienung erkannt wurde. Auf der
Funkfernbedienung wird das Funksymbol ange-
zeigt, wenn eine Taste gedrückt wird oder der
Anmeldemodus aktiv ist.
Batterie
Wenn die Batterien der Funkfernbedienung zu
schwach sind wird dies mit dem Batteriesymbol
angezeigt. Wechseln Sie in diesem Fall bitte kurzfristig
die Batterien aus (siehe Kapitel »Batteriewechsel«).
The representation corresponds to the temperature
display of the CEX, DEX or DSX display after a key-
stroke on the remote control. The description of the
function can be found in the manual of the instantane-
ous water heater.
Radio communication
The display of the water heaters CEX and DSX show
a radio symbol , if a remote control is detected. This
radio symbol is displayed on the remote control, if a
button is pressed or the initial operation is in process.
Battery
If the batteries of the remote control are flat, the bat-
tery symbol is displayed. In this case, exchange the
batteries within a short period of time (see chapter
“Battery replacement“).

Energiesparbetrieb
Das Symbol zeigt an, dass das Gerät mit ener-
giesparenden Einstellungen arbeitet. D.h., dass der
momentane Energieverbrauch in Abhängigkeit von der
gewählten Temperatur und vom Durchfluss im energie-
sparenden Bereich liegt.
Leistungsgrenze
Wenn die volle Leistung des Durchlauferhitzers nicht
ausreicht, um die gezapfte Wassermenge zu erhitzen,
wird dies durch Anzeigen von im FX-Display
angezeigt.
Betrieb mit vorerwärmten Wasser
Sollte die Kaltwassertemperatur den eingestellten
Temperatursollwert übersteigen, so heizt das Gerät
nicht. Das Gerät gibt dann keine Leistung ab und zeigt
das Sonnensymbol in der Anzeige.
Energy saving mode
The symbol shows that the appliance works in
an energy saving mode, i.e. the momentary energy
consumption is subject to the selected temperature
and to the flow rate in the energy saving mode.
Power limit
If the full output of the instantaneous water heater
does not suffice to heat the tapped quantity of water,
this will be indicated by on the LCD.
Operation with preheated water
If the cold water inlet temperature is higher than the
set value of the hot water outlet, the instantaneous
water heater will not heat. In this case no power is
emitted and the sun symbol is displayed.

t Die Funkfernbedienung nimmt nach einem
Tastendruck Kontakt mit dem Durchlauferhitzer auf.
Bei einer Wasserzapfung ohne vorhergegangenen
Tastendruck auf der Funkfernbedienung werden
keine aktualisierten Meldungen auf dem Display
der Funkfernbedienung angezeigt.
t Nach Tastendruck erfolgt alle 10 Sekunden
eine Aktualisierung des Displays auf der
Funkfernbedienung, solange Wasser fließt.
Nach Wasserstopp erfolgt noch dreimal eine
Aktualisierung der Anzeige der Funkfernbedienung,
anschließend schaltet die Funkfernbedienung in
den Energiesparmodus.
t Ohne aktive Funkverbindung arbeitet das Gerät mit
dem am Durchlauferhitzer eingestellten Sollwert.
t After a keystroke the remote control connects to
the instantaneous water heater. When tapping
water without a preceding keystroke, the remote
control’s display will not be refreshed.
t After a keystroke the remote control updates its
display every 10 seconds as long as water is flow-
ing. When the water flow stops the remote control
updates its display three more times, before the
remote control enters the energy saving mode.
t Without working radio connection, the appliance
heats to the prior selected set value.
