Important: Let themachine rest for 40 seconds between every vacuum packing
operation to prevent it from overheating.
Things to consider when vacuum packing

been vacuum packed.
• Bear in mind that crispy foods such as biscuits and crackers can crumble or
become deformed when they are vacuum packed. Whenvacuum packing crispy
foods, keep aneye on thebag and stop theprocess by pressing the [STOP]
button if necessary. Crispy foods can stored in bags that are just sealed without
avacuum.
• For best results, fruit and vegetables should be peeled before they are vacuum packed.
• When vacuum packing moist foods such as meat, apiece of kitchen paper can
be placed between thefood and theopening of thebag. Leaveagap between
themeat and thepaper and between thepaper and theseal. Theremust be no
paper in theopening where thebag is to be sealed.
• When vacuum packing grains or powders, acoffee filter can be placed between
thecontents of thebag and theopening. Takecare to ensure that thefilter is not
within thearea that will be pressed by thesealingbar.
• Do not completely fill thevacuum bag, leave enough room to be able to lay
theopening flat over thesealingbar.
• Stretch thebag to remove anyfolds.
• Make sure that theopening of thebag is completely dry before sealingit.
• Do not fill thebag with sharp or pointed objects such as bones or hard shells that
might puncture thebag.
• It is agood idea to freeze liquid foodstuffs before vacuum packingthem. Otherwise
there is arisk of liquid being sucked into thevacuum pump and damagingit.
