PRÉCAUTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
Lire attentivement toutes les instructions, les avertissements et les précautions. Durant le fonctionnement du système,
respecter toutes les normes de sécurité afin d'éviter tout accident ou dommage au matériel.
La non observance des précautions suivantes pourrait engendrer de sérieux dommages au matériel et des lésions
personnelles.

PRÉCAUTION : indique les bonnes procédures d'actionnement et de maintenance pour éviter tout dommage au
matériel ou au milieu environnant :
-Vérifier le fonctionnement correct et l’intégrité de l’outil avant son utilisation
-Enlever la saleté sur les composants à démonter
-Effectuer l'opération d'extraction du demi-arbre avec moteur froid.
AVERTISSEMENT : indique un danger potentiel qui requiert la mise en pratique des bonnes procédures afin d'éviter
tout accident :
-Durant l'utilisation, toujours porter des équipements de protection individuelle (gants, lunettes de sécurité avec
protection latérale, chaussures de protection et vêtements de travail).
DANGER : indique une situation dans laquelle une action ou une non-action peut engendrer de graves lésions
personnelles voire la mort :
-Danger d'écrasement des doigts entre la poignée et la clé à choc
-Danger de chute ou perte d'équilibre si la fourche n'est pas bien accrochée derrière le demi-arbre, au moment
de l'extraction, pour des coups trop énergiques avec la clé à choc, au moment de l'extraction ou pour position
erronée de manœuvre de l'équipement.
-Chute de l’outils sur le corps, surtout membres inférieurs.

Les caractéristiques mécaniques, la forme et le dimensionnement pour lesquels ils ont été conçus font que l'utilisation
de l'outil a un champ d'utilisation limité au secteur automobile tel que :
-Extraction de l'arbre de transmission pour Renault (fig 1)

INSTRUCTIONS
-Après avoir soulevé la voiture, démonté la roue, débranché le moyeu et l'amortisseur, positionner l'outil avec la
masse à inertie (fig. 2)
-La fourchette doit être vissée sur la masse à inertie, et avec écrou de retenue (fig.3)
-S'assurer que tous les filetages soient en prise, l'écrou peut être vissé aussi au-dessus du trou fileté de la
fourchette.

Pour extraction demi-arbre.
-Après la mise en place de la fourchette derrière le demi-arbre, donner un ou plusieurs coups avec la masse à
inertie, avec précision, en tenant l'outil en position horizontale. (fig. 4)
-Décrocher le demi-arbre (le collier d'arrêt monté sur l'arbre cannelé), il devra sortir de son emplacement. (fig. 5- 6)
-Poser l'outil et décrocher le demi-arbre de la boîte de vitesse/différentiel.

En cas de fuite d'huile de vidange, remettre l'huile à niveau après le remontage des composants.
DANGER
Utiliser l'outil avec précision et en position horizontale, pour éviter des accidents sur l'utilisateur et des dommages sur
les composants autour de la zone de travail.
ENTRETIEN
-La fourchette ne demande pas d'entretien particulier.
-Il faut une bonne propreté et stockage, en évitant que l'outil ne puisse tomber.
STOCKAGE
Quand le stockage est prévu à l'extérieur, s'assurer que l'outil soit protégé de l'eau.
Utiliser l'outil avec précision durant l'extraction pour éviter des accidents sur l'utilisateur et des dommages sur les
composants voiture autour de la zone de travail.

PRECAUTION: indicates correct operating or maintenance procedures to avoid damage to the equipment or to the
surrounding environment:
-Check the correct operation of the tool and its integrity
-Remove any dirt from components to be disassembled
-Carry out the operation to remove the drive shaft with the engine cold.
WARNING: indicates a potential hazard that requires putting into practice the correct procedures to avoid accidents:
-When using the drive shaft puller, always wear personal protective equipment (gloves, safety goggles with side
shields, safety shoes and work clothing).
DANGER: indicates a situation in which an action or lack of action may cause serious personal injury or even death:
-Finger crushing hazard between the handle and the slide hammer.
-Danger of falling or loss of balance if the fork is not properly hooked behind the drive shaft when removing, due to
excessive force used with the slide hammer when removing, or due to incorrect tool handling.
-Tool falling on the body, especially the lower limbs.

APPLICATION AREA
The mechanical properties, the shape and dimensioning for which it was designed ensure that Govoni drive shaft
disassembly tool can be used in the automotive sector for:
-Removing the drive shaft from the transmission/differential (fig. 1)

INSTRUCTIONS
-After having raised the car, removed the wheel, disconnected the hub and the shock absorber, position the tool
complete with puller and fork (fig. 2)
-The fork must be screwed to the slide hammer puller, and with a retaining nut (fig. 3)
-Make sure that all the threads are engaged, the nut can also be screwed over the threaded hole of the fork.

For drive shaft removal.
-After placing the fork behind the drive shaft, make one or two precise hits with the slide hammer, keeping the tool
in a horizontal position. (fig. 4)
-Unhook the drive shaft (the retaining ring mounted on the splined coupling must come out of its housing.
(Fig. 5-6)
-Remove the tool and detach the drive shaft from the transmission/differential.

If transmission oil leaks, top up the oil after reassembling the components
DANGER
Use the tool accurately and in a horizontal position to avoid injury to the user and damage to components
surrounding the work area.
MAINTENANCE
-The drive shaft puller forks do not require particular maintenance.
-Good cleaning and storage is necessary, making sure the tool does not fall.
STORAGE
When stored outdoors, make sure the tool is protected from water.
Use the tool accurately during removal to avoid injury to the user and damage to car components surrounding the
work area.
