tout dommage au matériel ou au milieu environnant :
• Vérifier le fonctionnement correct et l’intégrité de l’outil avant son utilisation,
• Nettoyer la saleté éventuelle sur la tige de l’amortisseur, opposé à celui à remplacer, et sur lequel
fixer la pince,
• Si on utilise des pistons du capot moteur pour le remplacement, attendre que le moteur soit
complètement froid.
AVERTISSEMENT : indique un danger potentiel qui requiert la mise en pratique des bonnes
procédures afin d'éviter tout accident :
Durant le remplacement des pistons amortisseur du capot, toujours porter des équipements

protection et vêtements de travail).

• danger de coupure dans la partie inférieure de l’outil (creux emplacement tige)
• danger d’écrasement des doigts entre le creux et la vis de pression
• chute de l’outils sur le corps, surtout membres inférieurs.

INSTALLATION
Après avoir vérifié que la tige d'amortissement est
privée de saleté, placer la borne à la base de la tige,
en l'enfilant dedans, à proximité du cylindre (fig. 2).

FONCTIONNEMENT
• Serrer avec modération le volant de la vis de
pression, sur la tige. (fig. 3)
• Démonter et monter le piston côté opposé.
ENTRETIEN
Les bornes bloque-piston amortisseur n'exigent
aucun entretien particulier.
Il faut une bonne propreté et conservation, en évitant
que l'outil ne puisse tomber et s'endommager dans
le creux ou sur la plaquette de la vis de pression.

STOCKAGE
Quand le stockage est prévu à l'extérieur, s'assurer que l'outil soit protégé de l'eau.
Serrer le volant de la vis de pression, avec modération, pour éviter des empreintes sur la tige.

PRECAUTION : indicates correct operating or maintenance procedures to avoid damage to the

• Check the correct operation of the tool and its integrity before use,
• Clean any dirt on the strut shaft, opposite to the one to be replaced, and on which to fix the
clamp,
• If it is used to replace bonnet struts, wait until the engine is completely cold.
WARNING : indicates a potential hazard that requires putting into practice the correct procedures
to avoid accidents:
• When replacing bonnet struts, always wear personal protective equipment (gloves, safety
goggles with side shields, safety shoes and work clothing).
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

DANGERS : indicates a situation in which an action or lack of action may cause serious personal
injury or even death:
• risk of cutting in the lower part of the tool (shaft housing slot),
• risk of crushing fingers between the slot and the pressure screw,
• tool falling on the body, especially the lower limbs.
APPLICATION AREA
The mechanical properties, the shape and

automotive sector for:
• Removal and fitting of boot (tailgate) and bonnet
struts on the opposite side. (fig. 1)

INSTALLATION
After making sure that the strut shaft is free of dirt,
position the clamp at the base of the shaft, inserting
it near the piston, (fig. 2)

OPERATION
• Moderately tighten the handwheel of the pressure
screw on the shaft. (fig. 3)
• Carry out the removal and subsequent fitting of
the strut on the opposite side.
MAINTENANCE
• Clas strut support clamps do not require particular
maintenance.
• Good cleaning and storage is necessary, making
sure the tool does not fall, and the slot or the pad of
the pressure screw does not get damaged

STORAGE
When stored outdoors, make sure the tool is protected from water.
Moderately tighten the pressure screw handwheel to avoid denting the shaft.
