Installation
Instructions
Install the module on the rear of the universal chassis. Follow the numbered steps within the illustrations
below.
1. Pull out access tray handle.
2. Snap module down in five locations shown.

3. Route fiber cable through inner tray cable
guide and end of arm guide.
4. Close the access tray.
Infrared radiation is
invisible and can seriously
damage the retina of the
eye. Do not look into the
ends of any optical fiber.
Do not look directly into
the optical adapters
of the adapter packs.

NOTE: DO NOT INSTALL ADDITIONAL LABELS TO TOP OF MODULE.

8. If installing a C-MOD
with microcable routed
overhead, tie off
as shown using lance
points.
Start at inner most
points as shown.
Allow a drip loop
to form per
examples at right.
7. If installing a C-MOD with IFC, install a cable clamp as shown on the
cable clamp bracket. Start with the inner most positions and grow
outward. Assemble the clamp on cable and bracket in order shown.

9. If C-MOD has pigtails to be routed to the Splice Chassis, route as shown on the left below.
Refer also to TECP-90-704.
10. If C-MOD has IFC cable to be routed to underfloor clamp, route as shown on the right
below. Refer also to TECP-90-708.
11. For correct C-MOD cable routing with 120-inch and 76-inch breakouts from overhead, refe
r
to TECP-90-723 for the NG4-FR1000C1 frame or TECP-90-706 for the NG4-FR1000A1
frame.
