Please check the contents of the box immediately after unpacking the device.
Maintenance
The keypad panel is maintenance-free. The device cannot be renovated or repaired to extend its life.
In case of any damage please contact the Customer Care service.
Cleaning
Dirty keypads may be cleaned with a dry cloth. Corrosive cleaning agents or solvents must never be used
to clean the push button panels as these chemical products can affect and impair the function.

The WAGO 243-211 terminal, carrying the 24V power supply, must be
plugged into the connector “A” and the WAGO 243-212, carrying the
communication, into the connector “B” as shown at side.
Cable for application is UTP CAT 5 (Without shielding)
WARNING
● Do not connect the power supply cable to Cresnet® line
● Always test the cable polarity before connecting

Programming the keypad
The AXES Crestron® keypad version is configured using the Crestron® SIMPL application.
BLACKNOVA-KEYPAD device is present under Crestron® Devices -
Wired Keypads section and ready to add to your Crestron® SIMPL
application

Indicates that the corresponding button is being pressed. The output remains high for the
duration of the button press.
High/1 = Button pressed
Low/0 = Button released
Digital inputs:

Activates the feedback of the corresponding LED indicator for as long as the input is
high.
High/1 = Apply the Active Indicator Color to the corresponding LED
Low/0 = Apply the Inactive Indicator Color to the corresponding LED
The default value (on device power-up) is Low/0

Indicates that the corresponding button is kept pressed more than <Hold_Time>. The
output remains high until the button is released.
High/1 = Button is holden
Low/0 = Button is not holden
Digital inputs:
<BTN1_Buzzer_Enable>

Activates/Deactivates the buzzer beep sound on the corresponding button press event.
High/1 = Buzzer Enabled
Low/0 = Buzzer Disabled.
The default value (on device power-up) is High/1
Digital output:
<Card_State>
For the devices equipped with cardholder indicates the card presence.
High/1 = Card is present
Low/0 = No card detected
Analog input:
<Hold_Time>
The time in milliseconds after which <BTNx_Hold> became active.
The value should be in the range from 300d to 5000d milliseconds.
Out of range, values are ignored.

The default value is 500d
Analog input:
<Sleep_Mode_Backlight>
Used for decreasing of the buttons backlight when the device is in the sleep mode.
The valid values range is from 0d [%] to 100d [%].
Out of range values are ignored.
The default value is 20d
Analog input:
<Wait_for_Sleep>
The time in seconds after which the device is switching to the Sleep mode the
<Sleep_Mode_Backlight> value applied for all button’s backlight
The valid values range is from 2d to 999d seconds.
Out of range values are ignored.
The default value is 20d
Analog output:
<Temperature_Sensor_Output>
Indicates the room temperature measured by a built-in sensor [°C] multiplied by 10d.
Output values range is from 0d to 999d, that is equal to temperatures from 0.0°C to
99.9°C
Analog output:
<Humidity_Sensor_Output>
The devices equipped with humidity sensor it indicates the sensed humidity in the room.
Output values range is from 0d [%] to 100d [%]
Analog input:
<Fan_Speed>
If a display is available it displays the fan speed
The valid values range is from 0d to 6d:
0d = OFF
1d = Speed 1
2d = Speed 2
3d = Speed 3
4d = Speed 4
5d = Speed 5
6d = AUTO speed
Out of range values are ignored.
The default value is 0d.
Analog input:
<Mode_Selection>
If a display is available, it displays the selected mode.
The valid values range is from 0d to 4d:
0d = None (no mode displayed)
1d = Cool
2d = Heat
3d = Fan
4d = Auto
Out of range values are ignored.
The default value is 0d
Analog input:
<Analog_Value>
The value to be shown on the display as an integer number.
It is visible on the screen when <Display_Selection> is set to 3d.
The valid values range is from 0d to 999d.
The default value is 0d
Analog input:
<Percentage_Value>
The value to be shown on the display as an integer number.
It is visible on the screen when <Display_Selection> is set to 4d.
The valid values range is from 0d to 100d.
The default value is 0d
Analog input:
<Temperature_C>
The temperature value in degrees Celsius multiplied by 10 to be shown on the display.
It is visible on the screen when <Display_Selection> is set to 5d.
The valid values range is from 0d to 999d, that represents 0.0C...99.9C degrees.

Analog input:
<Temperature_F>
The temperature value in degrees Fahrenheit multiplied by 10 to be shown on the
display.
It is visible on the screen when <Display_Selection> is set to 6d.
The valid values range is from 0d to 999d, that represents 0.0F...99.9F degrees.
The default value is 0d
Analog input:
<Display_Selection>
Selects the source of value to be shown on the display.
The values are stored in the device memory and ready to be shown any time.
The valid values range is from 0d to 6d:
0d - turn OFF the display
1d - fan speed
2d - mode selection
3d - analog value
4d - percentage value
5d - temperature Celsius
6d - temperature Fahrenheit
Out of range values are ignored.
The default value is 0d
Analog input:
<Display_Brightness>
The brightness of the LED/OLED screen.
The valid values range is from 10d [%] to 100d [%].
The default value is 80d
Analog input:
<Sleep_Mode_Brightness>
Used for decreasing the LED/OLED screen brightness when the device is in sleep mode.
The valid values range is from 0d [%] to 100d [%].
Out of range values are ignored.
The default value is 20d
Serial inputs:
<BTN1_Active_Indicator_Color>

The color in RGB HEX string format (RRGGBB) that is applied to corresponding button LED

Problem

Key-pad panel is not turning on
Check the power supply voltage and the polarity of power connection
Key-pad panel is connected to the network
but does not represent any activity
• Check that the cable connector is clean and not damaged
• Check the cable termination pinout and polarity

Warranty exclusion
The Warranty does not apply in the following cases
• Damage caused by accident, flood, fire, earthquake, abuse, misuse, neglect, or other external
causes.
• Damage caused by improper use or inappropriate operating conditions including unstable
connection, poor grounding, external electromagnetic fields, exposure to direct sunlight, high
humidity, or vibration.
• Damage caused by service, including the installation of updates or extensions, or repairs performed
by anyone who is not authorized.
• Damage caused by connecting devices to the products of other manufacturers.
• Replacement of consumable parts, including cables, batteries, unless damage is caused by
defects in materials or workmanship.
• Cosmetic damage including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, or broken plastic.
• Periodic maintenance and inspection of the device including, but not limited to, cleaning,
adjusting, testing, or errors in programming.
• The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear caused by normal or excessive operation.
