4Add the Occupancy Sensor to the System
Perform the following procedure to join the ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT to the ZUMMESH-AVBRIDGE.
NOTE: The following procedure assumes the ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT has already been installed
as described in the ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT Installation Guide (Doc. 7867).
1. On the ZUMMESH-AVBRIDGE, press the SETUP button 5 times, then press and hold the SETUP button
until the LED on the device lights (about 10 seconds). After approximately 3 seconds, the device LED
begins slowly flashing, indicating that is in Joining mode.
NOTE: Only one ZUMMESH-AVBRIDGE should be in Joining mode at a time.
NOTE: Joining mode ends automatically after 4 minutes.
2. Remove the cover from the ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT.
3. On the ZUMMESH-PIR-OCCUPANCY-BATT, press the TEST button 3 times, then press and hold the TEST
button until the LED on the device lights (up to 10 seconds). The device is joined to the
ZUMMESH-AVBRIDGE.
4. On the ZUMMESH-AVBRIDGE, press the SETUP button to exit Joining mode.
