•Read and familiarise yourself with all operating
instructions before using this 16” Pedestal Fan.
•Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually check that
the unit is intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
•DO NOT use this product with a programmer, timer,
separate remote control system or any other device.
•Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate
corresponds with that of the local network before
connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
•Close supervision is required when using this appliance
near children.
•Never leave this appliance within reach of children.
•Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless
continuously supervised.

•DO NOT leave the appliance unattended during use.
•DO NOT leave the appliance unattended whilst connected
to the mains supply.
•Always use this appliance on solid, level, surface.
•DO NOT use this appliance outdoors.
•DO NOT use any accessories or attachments with this
appliance other than those supplied or recommended by
the supplier.
•It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the
appliance has been used, before it is cleaned and whilst
being repaired.
•Repairs to electrical appliances should be performed by
qualified personnel. Improper repairs may place user at

•DO NOT operate this appliance with a damaged plug or
cord, after a malfunction or after being dropped or
damaged in any way.
•Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on the
mains cable to ensure no damage is evident. Should there

Before first use of your Pedestal Fan
Remove all packing materials including protective sheath from the Motor Spindle
(9) and discard responsibly.
Ensure all parts are present - see Description of parts above.

Assembling Your 16 Inch Pedestal Fan
2. Insert the Lower Base Pole (16) into the Base
(18). Place the Weight (19) on the underside of
the Base (18) then screw the Pole Fixing Nut
(20) onto the Pole Thread (17) at the end of the
Lower Base Pole (16).
3.Loosen the Pole Clamp (15) and at the same time
raise the chrome Adjustable Pole (14) then tighten
the Pole Clamp (15). The chrome Adjustable
Pole (14) can sometimes
slip down inside the Lower
Base Pole (16) during
transit.
4. Place the top of the fan onto the chrome Adjustable
Pole (14) and tighten the Pole Retaining Screw (13).

5.Remove the Rear Guard Fixing Nut (5) from
the Motor Housing (11) by unscrewing
anticlockwise.
6.Note the Rear Guard Locating Pins on the
Motor Housing (11).
7.Place the Rear Guard (6) over the Locating Pins
on the Motor Housing (11) and replace the
Rear Guard Fixing Nut (5) by screwing on
clockwise.
The Carry Handle (7) should be positioned at
the top.
8.Remove the Protective Sheath from the Motor
Spindle (9) if fitted and discard responsibly.
9.Take the Fan Blade (4) and slide it onto the
Motor Spindle (9) ensuring that notches on the
rear of the fan blade line up with the splines
(arrowed left) on the Motor Spindle (9).

10.Secure the Fan Blade (4) to the Motor Spindle
(9) by screwing on the Blade Retaining Nut (3)
in an anticlockwise direction.
The Blade Retaining Nut (3) is reverse
threaded.
11.Remove the small Guard Nut & Screw (1)
stored in the Front Guard (2) using a suitable
screwdriver (not supplied).
The Guard Nut & Screw (1) maybe stored
in the Read Guard (6).
12.Move the clips around the outside edge of the
Front Guard (2) outwards.
13.Hang the Front Guard (2) over the top
of the Rear Guard (6) as shown right.

14.Bring the Front Guard (2) down to meet the
Rear Guard (6) and push the clips inwards until
the Front Guard (2) is fastened to the Rear
Guard (6).
15.Finally fit the Guard Nut & Screw (1)
through the holes in the bottom edge of
both the guards and tighten with a suitable
screwdriver (not supplied).
The Guard Nut & Screw (1) must be fitted
so that the guard cannot be removed
accidentally.
Operating Your Pedestal Fan
Place the fan in the desired position ensuring that it
is stable.
If desired, the fan guard can be tilted up and down
to alter the direction of the airflow.
Do not adjust the fan whilst connected to the
mains and/or switched on.
Slacken the Pole Clamp (15) and adjust
the fan to the desired height using the
Adjustable Pole (14), tighten the Pole
Clamp (15) once the desired height is
set.

Press the Speed Control Switches (8) to operate your fan as follows:
Press button 0 to ensure the fan is off. Insert the mains plug into the nearest
socket.
•Press button 1 for the low speed.
•Press button 2 for the medium speed.
•Press button 3 for the high speed.
•Press button 0 to switch the fan off.
Oscillation Mode
Press the oscillation control (8) down to enable the fan to
oscillate from side to side.
Pull the control up to stop the fan oscillating.
Care and Use of your Fan
Ensure that the fan is switched off and it is not connected to the
mains supply before cleaning.
Wipe the fan body clean with a clean, soft damp cloth.
Do not immerse the fan or its cord in water or any other liquid.
Non-rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse needed replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one
(conforming to BS 1363 of the same rating). If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician. Never use a plug with the fuse cover missing.
If you need to remove the plug-DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS- and then cut it off
the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse the
plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock
