Maintenance:
The product does not require maintenance.
Construction features:
The Body Armor® Night Splint backing splint maintains the foot and
lower leg at a 90° position. The elastic ring connector allows for
off-loading the instep of the foot. The loops are made of breathable,
elastic nylon/ polyester fabric.
Technical data
Cleaning instructions
> Open all the velcro straps.
> The shell and padding may be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth.
> The Toe loop is to be washed by hand with a mild detergent. The grey
fabric for fixing the splint can be washed with water that is 30°.
This product is to be air dried and should not be tumble dried or dried
using heat.
> For cleaning the product you may use any commercially available
sanitizer.
Caution
The Body Armor® Night Splint is a backing splint and not intended for
walking. Should discomfort or numbness persist, discontinue use and
consult your physician. If the product is improperly handled its function
and optimal safety can no longer be guaranteed.

Instructions for use
Indications
> shortening of the plantar fascia
> heel spurs
> achilles tendonitis and tendonosis
> metatarsalgia
> talipes equinus and ankle contracture
Contraindication:
> Plantar flexion contracture greater than 10°
> uncontrollable severe plantar flexion spasticity
> This product is not intended for extended periods
of weight bearing or ambulation.
Body Armor® Night Splint
Dorsal Night Splint
The Body Armor® Night Splint is a backing splint used for the treatment
of heel spurs (plantar fasciitis), shortening of the plantar fascia, talipes
equinus or achilles tendonitis.
The backing splint fits right and left equally.
1. Slide foot into the night splint, seating the heel snugly in the heel
opening.
2. Tighten, as needed, both sides of the heel strap together.
3. Tighten, as needed, both sides of the foot strap together.
4. Thread the calf strap. Tighten, as needed, both sides of the calf strap
together.
Application of the Toe loop:
5. Insert the big toe in the toe loop. The top of the toe should be level with
the end of the toe loop.
6. Using the elastic ring, place the big toe in a neutral or slightly elevated
position* and attach the ring to one of the hooks.
7. Secure the toe loop tab to the bottom of the night splint.
* As treatment continues, the toe(s) may be elevated as comfort allows to
permit a greater stretch to the plantar fascia. If you experienced any
numbness or discomfort in the big toe(s) area, reduce the tension on the
toe strap in order to get an optimal and neutral position.
The backing splint is designed for the use of one person only and
not meant for multiple use. 7. 8.
