Installation
Connection
Connect mains adapter/phone cable to
wall sockets.
Insert batteries (1.2V NiMH) in accord-
ance with the markings.
Charge with the keypad facing outwards
(24 hours the rst time).
Press Menu.
Scroll {/}to HS Settings.
Press Select (left menu button).
Scroll to Language. Press Select.
Scroll to desired setting. Press Select.
Press Lor Back repeatedly for standby
mode.
Note!
Use the telephone line cord supplied,
an existing line cord from a previous
phone may not be compatible.
The mains socket outlet must be located
near the equipment and easily accessible.
Battery
When the batteries are new and fully-charged
(10 hours) they will last for approx. 100
hours’ standby time or approx. 10 hours’
call time. These times apply at normal room
temperature.
Full battery capacity will not be reached until
the batteries have been charged 4-5 times. It
is not possible to overcharge or damage the
batteries by charging them for ”too long”.
If the batteries are completely discharged it
can take up to 5 minutes’ charging before the
display lights up.

Battery LED
When the batteries are running low will
ash and a warning tone will be heard during
calls.
Handset indicator will continue to rotate as
long as handset is placed on the base and will
not stop when fully charged.
The indicator on the base will however start to
ash when battery is fully charged
Warning!
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced
by an incorrect type. Use only original
batteries.
The guarantee does not cover any damage
caused by using the wrong batteries.
Dispose of used batteries according to the
instructions.
Note!
When the battery is low or when there is too
great a distance to the base unit the tele-
phone will be unable to connect to a line.
Do not place the base unit close to other
electrical equipment, in direct sunlight or
other strong heat sources! This is to mini-
mize the risk of any interference.
It is normal for the device to become warm
during charging and this is not dangerous.
The equipment will not work during power
cuts, so a corded telephone ought to be
used as a back up.

Base unit indicators
7Shines with a steady light during
charging and ashes when the
battery is fully charged.
Range
The telephone’s range depends on whether
or not the radio waves carrying the call are
restricted by obstacles in their path, and is
usually between 50 and 300 metres.
Coverage can be improved by turning one’s
head so that the handset is aligned with the
base unit. Sound quality declines as the limit
is reached until the call is nally interrupted.
The 6symbol is shown when the phone is
within range and ashes when it is out of
range.
The bars beside the 6symbol indicate signal
strength.
Photo
The base unit is designed to t a photo of
your choice.
Remove the foto lid by inserting your nger
on the top side recess area. You may use the
lid for cutting the photo to correct size.
Replace the photo lid on top of your photo.
Operation
Making a call
Enter the desired number. Delete if neces-
sary with Clear.
Press to call. Press Lto end.
Note!
To switch between speaker/handset, press
/ . In speaker mode, you cannot both
speak at once – you must take it in turns
to talk.
Receiving a call
Wait for the handset to ring.
Press to answer. Press Lto end.
Audio Setup
The volume may be adjusted during a call with
{/}.
Redial
Press r/}and scroll between the 20 most
recently dialled numbers with {/}. Press .
Mute button
The microphone can be switched on/off
during a call with Mute/Unmute.
Temporary Do Not Disturb
When someone calls, you can press Silent to
turn off the handset ringer temporarily.
Paging
The handset will ring when J(on the base
unit) is pressed. The signal will stop auto-
matically after a while or if the Lbutton
on the handset or the Jbutton on the base
unit are pressed.

Phonebook
You can save 100 names and
numbers. If you subscribe to
a caller ID service, the name
allocated to the caller in the phonebook will
be shown for incoming calls.
It is possible to choose between various
ringers for the numbers saved in the Phone-
book (provided you subscribe to a caller ID
service).
While storing a name you can change
between European, Russian and Greek by
pressing *and holding for 2 seconds.
Repeat to change again.
Save name/number in handset
Press Menu.
Scroll to PB. Press Select.
Scroll to Add. Press Select.
Press equivalent digit key several times
for desired name. Press }.
Enter the telephone number including the
area code (Clear=Erase). Press }.
Scroll to desired ring setup 8/9. Press
Ok.
Dialing from the phonebook
Press PB (right menu button). Scroll
through the entries using {/}. You can
quick search the phonebook by pressing
the corresponding number key for the rst
letter.

Incoming numbers/Caller ID
The display shows you who is
calling and the 30 most recent
missed calls. New Call(s) will be
shown in standby mode and in
the list indicates a missed call.
This function requires a subscription from
your service provider!
Retrieving and dialling
Press 9. Scroll to desired position with
}.
Press to call or press Select followed
by Menu for various options.
In order to remove the text New Call(s),
each entry in the log must be read individu-
ally by pressing Select at every new entry in
the lost or delete all calls.
Delete all calls
Press 9.
Press Select followed by Menu.

In addition to number display, the following

An activated alarm clock is indicated by in
standby mode. When the alarm goes off, an
audio signal will be heard for 40 seconds.
Deactivate permanently with Off or press any
button/Snooze for repetition after 5 mins
(activate this setting when programming). The
volume is determined by the set ringer level.

Call Barring
The telephone can block certain types of
outgoing calls. (PIN code is 0000 when sup-
plied).
Press Menu. Scroll to HS Settings. Press
Select.
Scroll to Call Barring. Press Select.
Enter PIN number (0000 when supplied).
Press Ok.
Scroll to Barring Mode. Press Select.
Scroll to desired setting, e.g. On. Press
Select.
Specifying barred numbers
Enter the sequence of digits for the type of
call to be barred. Example: Select the inter-
national prex (usually 00) to bar all interna-
tional calls. There are 4 different bars with up
to 4 digits in each.
Access Call Barring as described above.
Scroll to Barring Number. Press Select.
Scroll to desired entry. Press Select.
Enter desired digits (max 4). Press Ok.
Remember to activate the Barring Mode
setting as described above.

All handsets included in the
package are already registered
to the base unit.
Only for separate handsets/
service measures.You can register up to 6
handsets to one base unit.
This model is GAP (Generic Access Prole)
compatible, which means that the handset
and the base unit can both be used with
most other GAP compatible units irrespec-
tive of manufacturer. However the GAP pro-
tocol cannot guarantee that all functions
may be accessed. Extra handsets will not
be available as accessories.
Hold down the Jbutton on the base unit
until the indicator ashes.
Press Menu. Scroll to Registering. Press
Select.
Scroll to required base unit
(Blue=previous reg.). Press Ok.
Enter the base unit PIN code (e.g. 0000).
Press Ok.
If the registration is successful the unit
will return to standby mode within one
minute.

Expanded system (+1)
The call number for internal calls will be shown
in the display in standby mode. The base unit
should be positioned centrally so that the cover-
age area is roughly equal for all handsets.
Intercom
Press I.
When there are more than 2 handsets:
Enter the call number 1-6for the hand-
set you wish to call or press 9to call all
handsets.
Press Select.
A tone will be heard if an external call comes
in while an internal call is in progress. End
the internal call by pressing L and
answer the external call with .
Transferring calls/Conference between
handsets
An external call is connected.
Press I.
When there are more than 2 handsets: Enter
the call number 1-6for the handset you
wish to call or press 9to call all handsets.
Press Select.
To transfer: press L, For conference: hold
down I.
Answer Machine
(only Form 45r)
When the answer machine is
switched on calls are answered
after a set number of rings, your outgoing
message is heard and the caller can leave a
message. The total memory capacity is up to
30 minutes.

Outgoing message
The outgoing message (max 3 min) is heard
by incoming callers. There are two separate
outgoing messages, one for Answer Only
(callers cannot leave a message) and one for
normal answer function.

Scroll to TAM Settings. Press Select.
Scroll to OGM Settings. Press Select.
Scroll to Answer & Record/Answer Only.

After the long beep you can record your
message (speaking approx. 20 cm from the
keypad). Press Ok.
The message will be played back to you.
Repeat the above to change.

Screening
You can press Ok on the handset while a mes-
sage is being recorded.
The call can be intercepted by pressing or
by lifting the receiver of another telephone.

before you are charged for the call.

Personal message (Memo)
Press Menu. Scroll to Answer Machine.

Memos are played back in the same way
as ordinary incoming messages.
Out of memory
In total the memory can hold up to 59 mes-
sages (including the outgoing message) or a
maximum of 30 mins.
When ashes in handset no new messages
can be recorded until the old ones have been
played back and deleted. In that case, the
answer machine responds with the outgoing
message for Answer Only.

Remember to delete messages regularly!

Remote Access
The unit can be remotely accessed using an
ordinary tone dialling telephone.
Call the answer machine.
Press *when the outgoing message is

Troubleshooting
Check that the telephone cord is undamaged
and properly plugged in. Disconnect any addi-
tional equipment, extension cords and other
phones. If the problem is resolved, the fault
is with some other equipment.
Test the equipment on a known working line
(e.g. at a neighbour’s house). If the equip-
ment works there the fault is probably with
your telephone line. Please report this to your
network operator.
No number shown when ringing
This function requires a Caller ID
subscription from your service provider.
Warning tone during a call/Not possible to
make calls
The batteries may be running low (charge
the handset).
The handset may be nearly out of range.
Move closer to a base unit.
Telephone does not work
Check that the adapter/phone cord is
connected correctly.
Check that you have selected Tone Dial,
see System Settings.
Check the charge status of the handset
batteries.
Connect another functioning telephone to
the network wall socket.

The telephone continues to ring
Some of the telephone’s ringers do not
follow the line signal, which means that
the signal may continue for up to 8
seconds after answering a call.
The answer machine is not answering
Memory may be full. Listen to/delete your
messages.
Check that the adapter/phone cord is

Check that the answer machine is
switched on.
The answer machine does not respond to
remote access
Check that you are using a tone dial
telephone.
Try holding the buttons down longer,
approximately 1 second per digit.
If the telephone still does not work, contact
the place of purchase for service. Don’t forget
the receipt or a copy of the invoice.

This telephone complies with applicable safety
requirements for exposure to radio waves. The
mean power of this telephone is not greater than
14 mW.
This is below the 20mW limit at which testing is
required.
REN (RN for New Zealand)
The REN (Ringer Equivalence Number) or (RN) is
of signicance only if you wish to connect more
than 1 telephone to your telephone line. A standard
telephone line has a maximum REN capacity of 3
(RN of 5). It is possible to connect 3 devices with
a REN of 1 (RN of 1) with no degradation to the
product’s performance. Exceeding this limit may
cause the volume of the ringer in any phone to

Raccordement

Batteries
Des batteries NiMH neuves et complètement
chargées (charge de 10 heures) ont une
autonomie d’environ 10 heures en commu-
nication et 100 heures en veille. Ces durées
sont données pour une utilisation à l’intérieur
à des températures normales.
Les batteries atteignent leur rendement
maximal au bout de la 4ième ou la 5ième
recharge. Le système de régulation de charge
automatique évite de les surcharger et de les
endommager par une recharge prolongée.
Lorsque les batteries sont complètement
déchargées, un délai de 5 minutes peut s’écouler
avant que le témoin de charge ne s’allume.
Attention !
Danger d’explosion si l’on utilise une batterie
de type incorrect. Mettez la batterie usagée
au rebut conformément aux instructions.
La garantie ne couvre pas les dommages
causés par l’utilisation de mauvaises
batteries.
Remarque !
Vous ne pouvez pas obtenir de ligne quand
les batteries sont déchargées ou lorsque le
combiné est trop éloigné de la base.
Ne placez pas la base à proximité d’appareils
électriques, d’une source de chaleur ou dans
un endroit exposé directement au soleil an
de minimiser les risques d’interférences.
Vous pourrez observer un réchauffement de
l’appareil pendant la charge ; ce phénomène
est normal.
L’appareil n’étant plus fonctionnel en cas
de coupure de courant, il est recommandé
d’utiliser en complément un poste télépho-
nique conventionnel.

Témoins de la base

Portée
En général, la portée du téléphone varie de
50 à 300 mètres en fonction des conditions
ambiantes. Vous pouvez améliorer la portée
en tournant la tête de façon à pointer le
combiné vers la base. La qualité du son se
détériore lorsque le combiné se rapproche de
la limite de sa portée, puis la communication
est coupée. Le symbole 6 s’afche quand le
téléphone est à portée et clignote lorsqu’ il
est hors de portée.
Les barres en regard du symbole 6indiquent
l’intensité actuelle du signal.
Photo
La base est conçue de sorte à pouvoir insérer
une photo de votre choix. Retirez le protège-
photo en insérant votre doigt dans la rainure
située sur le bord supérieur. Il est conseillé
d’utiliser le protège-photo pour couper la
photo à la taille qui convient. Replacez le
protège-photo sur la photo.
Utilisation
Appeler
Composez le numéro. Au besoin effacez
les erreurs avec Efface.
Appuyez sur pour appeler. Appuyez sur
L pour mettre n à l’appel.
Remarque !
Pour alterner entre les modes combiné et
mains-libres, appuyez sur / . En mode
mains-libres les deux correspondants ne
peuvent pas parler simultanément, mais
uniquement un à la fois.
Recevoir un appel
Attendez que le combiné sonne.
Prenez l’appel en appuyant sur Appuyez
sur L pour mettre n à l’appel.
Réglage du volume
Vous pouvez ajuster le volume en cours de
communication avec les touches de déle-
ment {/}.
Touche Bis

Recherche du combiné
Le combiné sonne quand on
appuie sur la touche Jde la
base. Le signal s’arrête automa-
tiquement au bout de quelques secondes
ou lorsqu’on appuie sur la touche Ldu
combiné ou sur la touche Jde la base.
Répertoire
Le répertoire peut enregistrer 100 noms/
numéros. Lorsque vous êtes abonné à la
présentation du numéro, celui de votre
correspondant s’afche à la réception d’un
appel (pour les numéros sauvegardés dans le
répertoire). Vous pouvez choisir différentes
mélodies pour les numéros du répertoire.
Lorsque vous renommez le combiné,
vous pouvez changer de type d’alphabet
(Européen, Russe ou Grec) en appuyant pen-
dant 2 secondes sur la touche *.
Répétez cette opération pour changer à
nouveau.
Enregistrement d’un nom/numéro dans le
combiné
Appuyez sur Menu.
Atteignez Répertoire. Appuyez sur Sélect.
Atteignez Ajouter. Appuyez sur Sélect.
Entrez le nom par pressions successives
des touches numériques. Appuyez sur }.
Saisissez le numéro de téléphone ainsi
que l’indicatif (Efface = effacer). Appuyez
sur }.
Atteignez la mélodie désirée 8/9.
Appuyez sur Ok.

Composition des numéros mémorisés
dans le répertoire
Appuyez sur Répert (touche de menu
droite). Atteignez le numéro/nom désiré
à l ’aide des touches {/}. Vous pouvez
aussi effectuer une recherche rapide en
appuyant sur la touche numérotée corre-
spondant à la première lettre du nom de
la personne.
Appuyez sur pour appeler.
Utilisation du répertoire
Appuyez sur Menu.
Atteignez Répert. Appuyez sur Sélect.
Atteignez la fonction désirée par ex. Etat
répertoire pour vérier le nombre actuel
d’entrées. Appuyez sur Sélect.
Faites déler les entrées avec les touches
{/}. Vous pouvez aussi effectuer une
recherche rapide en appuyant sur la
touche numérotée correspondant à la
première lettre du nom de la personne.
Présentation du numéro
Le nom du correspondant qui
appelle et ceux des 30 derni-
ers appels reçus en absence
s’afchent.
Nv Appel(s) s’afche en veille et indique
un appel reçu en absence. Cette fonction
est dis- ponible sous réserve d’abonnement
auprès de votre opérateur !
Appeler à partir du JAP
Appuyez sur 9. Atteignez l’entrée désirée
avec la touche }.
Appuyez sur pour appeler ou sur Sélect
puis sur Menu pour afcher les différentes
options.

An de supprimer le texte Nv Appel(s),
vous devez afcher chaque entrée une par
une en appuyant sur Sélect sur chacune
d’entre elles (marquées avec un ) dans la
liste ou effacer tous les appels.
Effacer tous les appels
Appuyer sur 9.
Appuyer sur Sélect suivi de Menu.
Sélectionner Tout effacer. Appuyer sur
Sélect.
Appuyer sur Ok.
Informations supplémentaires
En plus des numéros de téléphone, l’écran
peut afcher :
Indisponible Numéro inconnu, par ex. un
appel de l’étranger.
Secret L’appel provient d’un numéro
masqué. Aucun numéro ne

Alarme
Lorsqu’une alarme est activée,  s’afche
en veille. La sonnerie de l’alarme dure 40
secondes. Coupez complètement l’alarme en
appuyant sur Off ou appuyez sur n’importe
quelle touche ou sur Snooze pour qu’elle
sonne à nouveau au bout de 5 minutes
(programmez l’activation de cette option). Le
volume est celui réglé pour la sonnerie.
