Thetelephone’srangedependsonwhetherornottheradiowavescarrying
thecallarerestrictedbyobstaclesintheirpath,andisusuallybetween50
and300metres.Coveragecanbeimprovedbyturningone’sheadsothatthe
handsetisalignedwiththebaseunit.Soundqualitydeclinesasthelimitis
reacheduntilthecallisnallyinterrupted.
