SWITCHING DEVICE OFF
Press the power switch key (Fig. 1, item 1), here the screen shall go out. It is the user who decides
whether disconnect the power cord from the power supply or not. It is worth disconnecting in case of a
long-term (more than several days) device standing by.If it is necessary to install the device on a new
place after it was switched off, disconnect the power plug from the power socket. Having done this, one
may move the device to a new place.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To clean the device surface from dirt, use water-based neutral detergents (for example, the ones
for dish washing) or the cleaning compositions on the base of isopropyl alcohol. Remove carefully
excess of the detergent or the cleaning composition from the device.
WARNING! BEFORE CLEANING THE DEVICE SURFACE FROM DIRT, MAKE SURE THE
POWER PLUG HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE POWER SOCKET!
WARNING! TO AVOID AN ELECTRIC SHOCK, AVOID ACCESS OF THE DETERGENT OR
THE CLEANING COMPOSITION INSIDE THE DEVICE!
WARNING! WHEN CLEANING THE SURFACE, USE ONLY A SOFT TISSUE TO APPLY THE
DETERGENT OR THE CLEANING COMPOSITION! IT IS PROHIBITED TO USE A BRUSH,
ASPRAYER OR AN AEROSOL SPRAY TO APPLY THE DETERGENT OR THE CLEANING
COMPOSITION!
Fluorescent lamp is used in the device as the source of UV light. After a lamp failure, the lamp shall
be replaced. As an exception, the device with a failed lamp may be in operation during not more than 8
working hours.
Attention! Fluorescent lamps are consumables, and the manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t cover
them.
To replace the fluorescent lamps, one shall use the lamps of the same type as installed in the
device. To replace UV lamp, use the lamp DORS TL 4W/08 F4 T5/BLB.
WARNING! REPLACING OF THE LAMP MAY BE ACCOMPANIED BY TOUCHING OF THE
METAL CAPS OF THE FLUORESCENT LAMPS HAVING A SINGLE INSULATION FROM
THE CIRCUIT OF THE DEVICE POWER SUPPLY. THEREFORE, IT IS PROHIBITED TO
REPLACE THE LAMPS IN THE DEVICE WITH ITS POWER PLUG INSERTED INTO THE
POWER SOCKET. ONLY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL SHALL REPLACE THE LAMP IN THE
DEVICE.
When looking at active UV lamp, the user gets UV radiation. Therefore to determine the failed UV
lamp, please use a sheet of A4 white paper of standard density (not more than 80 g/m2). The
procedure is as follows:
1. Ensure that the UV light is on.
2. The good condition of UV lamp can be confirmed by placement of a paper sheet in the viewing
zone B. If a paper sheet becomes to emit light intensely, the UV lamp works; if a paper doesn’t
fluoresce, it is necessary to replace UV lamp (see UV LAMP REPLACING PROCEDURE).
The failed white light source is determined visually when the white light mode is on – whether the
white lamp lights or not.
1. Turn the device upside down and place it on a table covered by soft cloth.
2. Applying no excessive strength, turn the failed lamp around its axis for a quarter of a turn. Doing it,
hold the lamp with two fingers of each hand.
