Thank you for having chosen DORS 200 automatic detector.
The device is designed for authenticity verification of banknotes of various
currencies with automatic detection of their denomination. The banknote can be fed to
the detector by either side or orientation.
The detector automatically sums the results of the verified authentic banknotes.
The automatic detector DORS 200 (hereinafter detector) is manufactured by
DORS Industries (China) Ltd., Shilong Business Center, Shilong Information Industrial
Park, Building 17, the city of Dongguang, the province of Guangdong, China.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
To ensure long-term and reliable operation of the detector, it is recommended to
comply with the following operating and safety requirements:
1. Do not allow moisture, metal objects to get inside the detector.
2. Turn off the detector when not used.
3. When the detector is not used for a long time, disconnect its AC adapter from
the mains.
4. Use only the supplied power adapter to connect the detector to the mains.
5. The detector must be installed on a flat horizontal surface.
6. If there is no removable tray, there should be a free space behind the detector
for the exit of banknotes.
7. It is not recommended to use the detector in conditions of extremely low or high
temperatures, high humidity and to expose it to direct sunlight.
8. Do not touch the parts inside the detector if it is not disconnected from the
mains.
9. When installing the detector, take into account that high dust content can
adversely affect its operation.
10. Do not install the detector where it can be exposed to soot or steam. This could
lead to a short circuit or fire.

The display shows:
1. Currency (USD, RUB etc). Push REPORT /
CLEAR key to check available currencies or the
quantity of the banknotes of a certain
denomination in the report mode;
2. Detected amount or denomination;
3. Valid banknote forward output indicator;
4. Valid banknote reverse output indicator.
The detector is ready for operation with recent saved settings. At the first switching
on the detector is ready for the banknotes verification with the factory settings as
follows:
– Beep signal is switched on;
– «Back» output mode is switched on.
1. Make sure that the safety precautions given in the
corresponding section of the manual have been complied;
2. If the detector works from the battery (option) then go to item 5;
3. Connect power adapter to the detector;
4. Plug the adapter to the mains socket;
5. If required, install the banknote guide.
It can also be installed any time during
the operation (see. Fig.2);
6. If required, install the removable tray.
It can also be installed any time during the operation.

GETTING STARTED:
Press ON / OFF key and hold it for 1 second to switch on the detector. After being
switched on the detector will run self-test and blue indicator will flash.
As soon as self-test is over you hear the beep signal (if Sound option is on) and the
blue indicator switches on.
WARNING:
Open the top cover of the detector
to install or remove the banknote guide.

AUTHENTICITY VERIFICATION:
Warning: The errors may appear when checking genuine wrinkled, unfit,
dirty, washed, damaged, taped, de-inked banknotes, banknotes with graffiti and
banknotes being exposed to aggressive environment.
To verify a banknote, insert it into the input tray to be taken by the pulling rollers.
Align the banknote to the left side when feeding.
The detector takes a banknote and verifies its authenticity.
If the banknote is genuine, the green indicator will switch on, the currency code,
denomination and quantity of verified banknotes of this denomination will be displayed.
If a banknote is detected as suspicious, it will return into the input tray, the red
indicator will switch on, and the detector will beep (if «Sound Signal» or «Back»
direction option is switched on).
If the banknote is not recognized as authentic three times, its authenticity shall be
verified by some other methods.
The information about the currency of the last checked note and amount of verified
banknotes of this currency will appear on display in 5 sec. after the last verification.
Report:
Press REPORT / CLEAR key to view information about the verified banknotes.
The display will show ‘report’.
At each pressing of the key the information displays sequentially:
1. Currency (top row);
2. If any banknotes have been detected:
– denomination (bottom row) and quantity of the banknotes (top row);
– currency (top row) and detected amount of this currency (bottom row).
In multi-currency version this information is displayed sequentially for each
currency.
Press and hold the REPORT / CLEAR key to clear the data of all previously
verified banknotes.
Shortly push ON / OFF key or feed a banknote to exit report mode.
Operation of Detector from Built-in Battery (option):
The detector may be equipped with a rechargeable battery. Shortly push ON / OFF
key to display battery level:
1. «ACC СН» - the battery is charging from power adapter.
2. «ACC FULL» - battery is fully charged.

Press SOUND / OUTPUT DIRECTION key and hold it for 1s to switch off/on beep
signal.
Warning: beep signal for returning suspicious banknote in «Back» output mode
can't be switched off.
Shortly push SOUND / OUTPUT DIRECTION key to change banknote output
direction. In «Forward» mode the notes will be returned through output slot (if the
removable tray is not installed) or through slot 12 Fig. 1 (if the removable tray is
installed) In «Back» output mode the banknotes will be returned to input tray.
Note: For higher detection speed do not install
the removable tray in «Forward» mode.

The removable tray is used to install the
detector in a confined space next to vertical
surfaces. The detector is shipped with a tray
installed. If necessary, the user can remove
or install the output tray:
To remove the tray:
1. Switch off the detector;
2. Disconnect the detector from mains;
3. Turn the detector upside down and
remove the tray, see Fig. 4 (1 and 2).

To install the tray:
1. Switch off the detector;
2. Disconnect the detector from mains;
3. Turn the detector upside down, insert
the tray latches into the slots and push t
he tray until it stops, see Fig. 4 (3).
To switch the detector off after operation press and hold ON/OFF key for more than
1 second. At the next switching on the same settings will be applied as were at
switching off.
SWITCHING THE DETECTOR OFF
Error Messages
In case of an error the detector stops automatically, beeps (if sound signals are
switched on) and a corresponding message appears on the display. See the «Error
Messages» table to find a reason of the error cause and its elimination procedure. If
the error code is not displayed or can't be found in this table then refer to the
«Troubleshooting» table.

3. «ACC dISCH» and «ACC XX» - the detector is running from the battery, XX is for
charge level (0 …100).
4. «ACC LO» - the battery is discharged; banknote detection is unavailable. Connect
the detector to power adapter and turn on the device to charge the battery.
Red and green
indicators flash

«Err 1»Drive error. The rollers are blocked.
Motor or motor driver malfunction.
Sync sensor failure.
Switch the detector off. Open its top
cover. Wipe the light guide, scanner
and input tray sensor with a dry lint-
free cloth, remove the foreign objects
from the path. Close the cover tightly.
Switch the detector on. If the error
message appears again please
contact your vendor.
«Err 2», «Err 3»,
«Err 5»
Scanner window is dirty.
Light guide is dirty. One of backlight
LEDs is out of order. Scanner area is
under direct sunlight. Detector top cover
is not closed.
«Err 4»Input tray sensor error. Sensor window
is dirty. The sensor receiver is blocked
by direct sunlight. Sensor LED is out of
order.
«Err 6»Magnet sensor error. Scanner surface is
dirty. Magnet sensor is out of order.

Calibration settings were accidentally
erased during the operation.
You can still use the detector though the
higher rejection rate of the banknotes is
possible.
The message will disappear at the
beginning of scanning process or after
long pressing of «REPORT/CLEAR»
key.
To deactivate the message and
decrease the rejection rate of the
banknotes please contact your vendor.

The banknote (or emission of the
banknote) is not supported by current
currency database version.
The banknote is too worn out or
damaged. The banknote is suspicious.
The banknote has wrong dimensions or
hasn't been aligned to the left when being
scanned. The time limit for verification is
exceeded (the banknote is stopped in the
input tray).
Please repeat the verification process of
this banknote. If the banknote can't be
detected again, it has to be verified by
other means.
Red and blue indicators
are on.

Denomination and

The banknote is jammed, the feeding
rollers got dirty or path components are
broken.
Open the top cover. Remove the foreign
objects from the path. Close the top
cover. If the banknote gets jammed in
the removable tray, switch the detector
off, remove the tray and remove the
jammed banknote. Install the tray on its
place. Switch the detector on.
Red indicator flashes,
blue indicator is on.
No changes The top cover is not closed tightly. The
scanner window is dirty. The light guide
surface is dirty.
Switch off the detector. Open the top
cover of the detector. Wipe the light
guide and the scanner with a dry lint-
free cloth and remove foreign objects
from the path. Close the cover tightly.
Switch the detector on. If the error
happens again please contact your
vendor.
Blue indicator
flashes
The battery is discharged. Connect power adapter.
Can't switch on when powered from the adapter. Check the mains power, AC adapter connection to the mains outlet, and AC
adapter connection to the detector. If these conditions are met but the detector
fails to switch on, please contact your vendor.
The scanning doesn't begin when the banknote is
in the input tray.
1. Align the banknote to the left side of input tray.
2. If the banknote has a folded or damaged corner, feed the banknote so that the
start sensor is covered with the banknote.
3. Detector failure happened while operation; take out the banknote and restart
the device
4. Low battery, connect power adapter.
If these conditions are met but the detector fails to scan, please contact your
vendor.
The display shows a message which is not
described in this manual.
Switch off and then switch on the detector. If the error remains, contact your
vendor.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
The maintenance requires a partial disassembling of the detector by a technician.
We recommend delivering the said maintenance every 90 days. In case of intensive
use of detector (more than 1 shift a day), the maintenance should be performed more
frequently.
On a daily basis:
1. Switch off the detector if it is not used.
2. Wipe the external parts with a dry clean lint-free cloth.
On a weekly basis or once three days at an intensive use:
1. Open the detector top cover and wipe with a dry clean lint free
cloth the path, the light guide, the scanner and the other
parts shown in Fig. 5
2. Switch the detector on and press «ON/OFF» key
(the top cover is still open). The feeding rollers will start
rotating forward for several seconds. While the feeding
rollers are rotating wipe them with a cotton pad
moistened with alcohol-containing cleaner.
Repeat cleaning if required.

TRANSPORTATION
AND STORAGE
The detector may be transported in the
manufacturer's package by car or by railway
(in a covered transport vehicle), by air in the pressurized
modules at the temperature of –20°…+50°C, relative air humidity up to 98% at +25°C
and the atmospheric pressure 84 to 107 kPa (630 to 800 mmHg).
Store the detector in the manufacturer's package in a heated and ventilated
storage room at +5°…+40°C and relative humidity not exceeding 80% at +25°C.

DORS authorizes the local distributors to provide after-sales technical support to
the customers. In case of machine's malfunctioning please contact your local supplier.
