IZM61 shunt release
WARNING
(1) Only qualified electrical personnel should be permitted to
work on the equipment.
(2) Always de-energize primary and secondary circuits if a circuit
breaker cannot be removed to a safe work location.
(3) Drawout circuit breakers should be levered (racked) out to the
disconnect position.
(4) All circuit breakers should be switched to the off position and
mechanism springs discharged.
Failure to follow these steps for all procedures described in this
instruction leaflet could result in death, bodily injury, or property
damage.
Section 1: General information
The shunt release opens the circuit breaker when energized.

Section 2: Installing the shunt release
Follow below steps for installation:
Step 1: Remove the mounting screws from the circuit breaker
panel with the Phillips screwdriver. Pull down the charging handle
(by an approx. 45° angle) to remove the cover.

5. With both circuit breakers in the Open state, close Circuit
Breaker 1, and Lever 11 will turn counterclockwise to a cer-
tain angle. At this point, Lever 22 also turns counterclockwise
to a certain angle, due to the force of Steel Cable 2. Now, the
tripping shaft of Circuit Breaker 2 is pressed down - adjust the
tightness of the steel cable with Regulating piece 2;
6. With both circuit breakers in the Open state, close Circuit
Breaker 2, and Lever 21 will turn counterclockwise to a cer-
tain angle. At this point, Lever 12 also turns counterclockwise
to a certain angle, due to the force of Steel Cable 1. Now, the
trip¬ping shaft of Circuit Breaker 1 is pressed down - adjust
the tightness of the steel cable with Regulating Piece 1;
7. Verify whether the devices are properly mounted: First close
any circuit breaker and then try to close the other one. Failure
to close indicates the mounting is properly done.
