This versatile light-up switch has three light settings: Light goes
on when the plate is pressed; light goes off when the plate is
pressed; or no light at all. Choose the setting that is right for the
user. The 4" x 5" target area is set at a 26-degree angle and the
switch activates with 60 grams of force and has clicking
feedback. The clear plate is flexible enough to allow an icon to be
slid underneath. Works with all Size: 4½L" x 3¼"W x 6½"D x
3½"H. Requires 2 AA Batteries. Weight: lb.
Operation:
. The 4" x 5" LED Plate Switch for VI requires two AA batteries.
The battery compartment is located under the base of the unit.
Carefully turn the switch over, and then remove the battery
cover with a small Philips screwdriver. Install new batteries,
being careful to observe proper battery polarity. Alkaline
batteries must be used (e.g. Duracell or Energizer Brands).
Do not use Heavy Duty, Super Duty or rechargeable batteries
because they supply a lower voltage and the unit may not
perform as well. Never mix old and new batteries together or
different brands or types together.
2. Replace the battery case cover and secure with the small
screw. Do not over-tighten.
3. This versatile light-up switch has three light settings: Light
goes on when the plate is pressed; light goes off when the
plate is pressed; or no light at all. Choose the setting that is
right for the user.
4. To operate as a switch connect an external toy or device via
the /8-inch cord. Make sure all connections are plugged in all
the way; there should be no gaps. Press anywhere on the
plate to activate your toy or device. Once you release
pressure from the switch plate, your toy or device will turn off.
5. The clear plate is flexible enough to allow an icon or picture to
be slid underneath. Works with all Size: 4½L" x 3¼"W x 6½"D
x 3½"H.
Important Notes:
When the 4" x 5" LED Plate Switch for VI is not in use make sure
that it is set to the OFF position.
Troubleshooting:
Problem: The 4" x 5" LED Plate Switch for VI does not operate
properly.
Action # 1: Make sure the batteries are in the battery
compartment properly, and making good contact.
Action # 2: Make sure you have the desired light setting selected
as explained in operation No.3.
Action # 3: If the unit still does not work properly, replace the
batteries.
Problem: The 4" x 5" LED Plate Switch for VI does not activate a
connected toy/device.
Action #1: Make sure all connections are plugged in all the way.
There should be no gaps.
Action #2: Check batteries in toy/device, replace if weak or
dead.
Care of Unit:
The 4" x 5" LED Plate Switch for VI can be wiped clean with any
household multi-purpose cleaner and disinfectant.
Do not submerge the unit, as it will damage the contents of the
top and the electrical components.
