Lieferumfang Scope of delivery
Prüfen Sie ob die Air Transportschäden auf-
weist. Sollte dies der Fall sein nehmen Sie
das Gerät nicht in Betrieb.
Check whether the Air has been damaged
in transit. If this is the case, do not start
up the device.
Vorbereitung Set-up
Ihre Air wird über das WLAN Netz verbunden
und kann mit Ihrem Smartphone oder der Fern-
bedienung gesteuert werden.
- Stellen Sie sicher dass Ihr WLAN Router
eingeschaltet und mit dem Internet
verbunden ist
- Achten Sie auf die Einstellungen des
Routers. Lesen Sie dazu die Router Bedien-
ungsanleitung. DHCP soll aktiviert sein.
- Das WLAN-System sollte der
IEEE 802.11b/g mindestens entsprechen.
Laden Sie die ETON App aus den APP stores
auf Ihr Smartphone oder Tablet. Je nach Be-
triebssystem laden Sie die APP für IOS Geräte
aus dem Apple APP Store, für Android System
aus dem Google Play Store.
Your Air is connected via the Wi-Fi network
and can be operated using your smartphone
or the remote control.
- Make sure that your Wi-Fi router is switched
on and connected to the Internet
- Note the router's settings. Read the router's
instruction manual for further information.
DHCP should be activated.
- The Wi-Fi system should comply with the
IEEE 802.11b/g specications as a mini-
mum.
Download the ETON app to your smartphone
or tablet from the app stores. Depending on the
operating system, download the app for iOS
devices from the Apple App Store and the app
for Android systems from the Google Play Store.

Inbetriebnahme Start-up
Verbinden Sie das beiliegende Netzkabel mit
der Netzbuchse(3) an der Air und der Netz-
steckdose.
Drücken Sie den Netzschalter(2). Das ETON
Logo am Regler(1) blinkt Grün / Weiß abwech-
selnd für ca. 50sec.
Connect the included power cable to the pow-
er socket (3) on the Air and the mains power
supply.
Press the power switch (2). The ETON logo on
the dial (1) ashes in alternating green/white
for approximately 50 seconds.

Mit dem WLAN Netzwerk
verbinden Connecting to the Wi-Fi network
Achtung: Stellen Sie sicher dass Ihr WLAN
Router eingeschaltet ist und Ihr Smartphone
oder Tablet als auch die AIR in der WLAN
Sendereichweite Ihres Routers bendet.
Warning: Make sure that your Wi-Fi router
is switched on and that your smartphone or
tablet, as well as your AIR, is within your Wi-
Fi router's transmission range.
Install the ETON AIR app. This is available in
the following stores: www.etonair.com/
app
Make sure that the AIR speaker is switched on.
At rst, the LED display on the dial (1) will ash
in alternating green/white for approximately
50 seconds. After 50 seconds, the ETON LED
will ash white. The Air speaker is now ready
to be set up with Wi-Fi.
Installieren Sie die ETON AIR App. Diese ste-
hen Ihnen in den folgenden Stores zur Verfü-

Achten Sie darauf, dass der AIR Lautsprecher
eingeschaltet ist. Die LED Anzeige am Reg-
ler(1) blinkt zunächst für ca. 50sec in Grün/
Weiß Intervallen. Nach den 50 sec. Blinkt die
ETON LED Weiß. Der Air Lautsprecher ist nun
bereit zur WLAN Einrichtung.

Öffnen Sie die ETON Air APP auf Ihrem Smart-
phone oder Tablet Folgen Sie dem Einrichtung-
sassistenten in der APP.
Open the ETON Air app on your smartphone
or tablet and follow the set-up wizard in the
app.
Nach erfolgreicher Einrichtung ist die ETON LED
konstant Weiß.
Once successfully set up, the ETON LED will be
constantly lit up in white.

Alternativ zu oben genannter WLAN Verbin-
dung können Sie auch den Einrichtungsassis-
tenten Ihre IOS (Apple) Gerätes verwenden.
As an alternative to the above-mentioned Wi-Fi
connection, you can also use the set-up wizard
on your iOS (Apple) device.
Mit Apple Airplay verbinden Connecting to Apple Airplay
Achtung: Dieser Einrichtungsschritt ist nur
dann verwendbar wenn die ETON LED
Weiß blinkt.
Warning: This set-up step is only availa-
ble when the ETON LED is ashing white.

- Now follow the steps provided by the Air-
play set-up wizard on your smartphone or

- Once successfully set up, the ETON LED will
be constantly lit up in white
- Use the Airplay function in the individual
player apps (D)

- Es wird Ihnen der ETON Air Lautsprecher
angezeigt.
- Aktivieren Sie die Verbindung auf Ihrem
Smartphone/Tablet. Die Anzeige wechselt
auf verbunden.
- Die ETON LED am Regler(1) wechselt nun
auf Blau. Sie sind jetzt verbunden und
können die Wiedergabe beginnen.
- Open Bluetooth in your smartphone or tab-
let settings
- The ETON Air speaker will be displayed.
- Activate the connection on your smartpho-
ne/tablet. The display will change to show
that you are now connected.
- The ETON LED on the dial (1) will now chan-
ge to blue. You are now connected and can
begin playback.
Mit Bluetooth verbinden Connecting to Bluetooth
Wenn Sie den Air Lautsprecher nicht im WLAN
Netzwerk betreiben wollen, können Sie über
Bluetooth dennoch Ihre Musik genießen.
If you want to use your Air speaker without
connecting to the Wi-Fi network, you can still
enjoy your music via Bluetooth.

Mit AUX verbinden Connecting to AUX
- Verbinden Sie das beiligende AUX Klinken
Kabel mit der AUX Buchse(7) des Air Laut-
sprechers und mit der entsprechenden
Buchse Ihres externen Gerätes.
- Connect the included AUX jack cable to the
AUX input (7) on the Air speaker and to the
output of your external device.
Auch wenn keine WLAN Verbindung besteht
haben Sie die Möglichkeit externe Geräte über
den AUX Eingang zu verbinden und die Wie-
dergabe über Ihren Air Lautsprecher zu genie-
ßen.
Even if there is no Wi-Fi connection, you still
have the option of connecting external devices
via the AUX input and can still enjoy playback
via your Air speaker.

- Mit der beiliegenden Fernbedienung
schalten Sie durch Drücken der Taste AUX
Ihren Air Lautsprecher auf den AUX

remote control, you switch your Air speaker
to the AUX input. The ETON LED on the dial
(1) will change to green.
- Start the playback on your external device.
- You can adjust the volume with the dial (1)
as well as with the remote control.
Note your external device's output volume.
Take care of the output volume from your
external device.

den sind, können Sie mit der ETON APP
in den „Sources“ den AUX Eingang eben-
falls aktivieren und mit dem Smartphone/
Tablet die Lautstärke einstellen.

Wi-Fi, you can also activate the AUX
input under "Sources" in the ETON app
and adjust the volume with your smart-
phone/tablet.

Mit USB verbinden Connecting to USB
Verbinden Sie einen ash drive mit der USB
Buchse(5). Beachten Sie die Wiedergabefor-
mate wie in den technischen Angbaen be-
schrieben.
Bei einer Verbindung über WLAN können Sie
die Quelle über die ETON Air APP aktivieren.
Die ETON LED am Regler(1) wechselt auf Gelb.
Sie können die USB Quelle auch mit der beilie-
gender Fernbedienung aktivieren.
Connect a ash drive to the USB input (5).
Note the playback formats as described in the
technical details.
If connected to Wi-Fi, you can activate the sour-
ce via the ETON Air app. The ETON LED on
the dial (1) will change to yellow.
You can also activate the USB source using the
included remote control.

Drehregler (1) Control dial (1)
Der Drehregler an der Vorderseite ihres Air
Lautsprechers erfüllt mehrere Funktionen. Er
dient als Anzeigeelement kann aber auch Funk-
tionen ausführen.
The control dial on the front of your Air speaker
is used for various functions. It serves as a dis-
play element but can also carry out functions.
- Durch drehen des äußeren Rings im oder
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn erhöhen oder
verringern sie die Wiedergabelautstärke
- Durch leichtes Drücken auf das ETON Logo
können Sie die Wiedergabe pausieren oder
wieder aktivieren (nicht bei AUX Betrieb)
- By turning the outer ring clockwise or anti-
clockwise, you can increase or decrease the
playback volume
- By gently pressing the ETON Logo, you can
pause and resume playback (does not work
in AUX mode)
- Die LED Anzeige zeigt Ihnen die unterschied-
lichen Betriebszustände an. Sehen Sie dazu
nachfolgende Tabelle:

Sie können Ihre AIR komplett vom Stromnetz
trennen ohne dabei das Stromkabel abziehen
zu müssen. Dazu drücken Sie den Netzschal-
ter(2) auf der Rückseite des Gerätes. Achten
Sie darauf, dass dieser ordnungsgemäß ein-
rastet. Dies empehlt sich, wenn Sie das Gerät
länger nicht verwenden möchten.
Verwenden Sie eines der beiliegenden Strom-
kabel, achten Sie dabei auf den Anschlustyp,
der Stromanschluss kann je nach Land in dem
Sie sich benden variieren. Bitte informie-
ren Sie sich zuvor über die vorherrschenden
Stromspannungen in den einzelnen Ländern.
Falsche Betriebsströme können einen Kurz-
schluss, Defekt am Gerät verursachen. Schlie-
ßen Sie das Kabel zuerst am Gerät an und
danach verbinden Sie es mit der Steckdose.
Use one of the included power cables, making
sure to choose the one with the right type of
connection since power connections can vary
from country to country. Please nd out about
the conventional voltages in each country in
advance. The wrong operating current could
cause defects in the device or cause it to
short-circuit. Connect the cable to the device
rst and then connect it to the mains power
supply.
You can disconnect your AIR from the power
supply entirely without having to pull out the
power cable. To do this, press the power switch
(2) on the back of the device. Make sure that
the switch is fully switched off. This is recom-
mended if you are not planning on using the
device for some time.

Ethernet LAN Buchse (4) Ethernet socket (4)
Sollte ihr Air Lautsprecher außerhalb der Reich-
weite ihres WLAN Netzwerks sein, können Sie
den Air Lautsprecher auch über die Ethernet
Verbindung betreiben. Verbinden Sie dazu die
LAN Buchse(4) mit ihrem Ethernetanschluss ih-
res Heimnetzwerks.
If your Air speaker is located outside the trans-
mission range of your Wi-Fi network, you can
use the Air speaker via the Ethernet connecti-
on. To do this, connect the Ethernet socket (4) to
the Ethernet connection in your home network.
Hinweis: Beachten Sie bitte, dass bei
Verwendung des Ethernet Anschlusses
des Air Lautsprechers die USB Wiederga-
be nicht aktiv sein wird.
Note: Please note that when using the
Air speaker's Ethernet connection, USB
playback will not be active.

Sollten Sie die WLAN Verbindungen neu ein-
stellen wollen, oder das Gerät weist einen Sys-
temabsturz auf, kann der Air Lautsprecher wie-
der auf die Fabrikeinstellungen zurückgesetzt
werden (factory data reset).
Sehen Sie dazu die Anleitung auf Seite 14,
Punkt "Mit USB verbinden".

If you want to reset your Wi-Fi connection or
if the device experiences a system crash, the
Air speaker can be restored to factory settings
(Factory Data Reset).

- Schalten Sie den Air Lautsprecher mit

- Der Air Lautsprecher ist nun im Auslieferzu-
stand und Sie können mit der Einrichtung des
Lautsprechers wie bereits beschrieben
beginnen.

- Switch the Air speaker off and on again
after approximately ve seconds or longer
using the power switch (2).
- The Air speaker is now in delivery condition
and you can begin setting it up as described
previously.

An die Kopfhörerbuchse können Sie eine Ste-
reo Kofhörer mit 3,5mm Klinkenstecker an-
schließen.
Sobald Sie den Kopfhörer einstecken werden
die internen Lautsprecher der Air abgeschaltet.
You can connect headphones with a 3.5 mm
audio jack to the headphone input.
As soon as the headphones are connected, the
Air's internal speakers will be switched off.
Sehen Sie dazu die Anleitung auf Seite 12,
Punkt "Mit AUX verbinden".

nual, the section entitled "Connecting to AUX".

Durch herausziehen der Isolationsfolie an der
Rückseite der Fernbedienung wird die Batterie
kontaktiert und die Fernbedienung ist betriebs-
bereit.
Funktionen der Fernbedienung, siehe Seite 6.
Ihr AIR Lautsprecher wird nach ca 30 min. au-
tomatisch in den Standby Modus geführt. Die-
sen Modus können Sie auch durch Drücken der
Stand-By Taste an der Fernbedienung sofort
herbeiführen. Der Air Lautsprecher wird wieder
in Betrieb gesetzt alsbald Sie die Standby Taste
oder jede andere Taste an der Fernbedienung
drücken, oder wenn Sie mit ihrem Smartphone
den Lautsprecher ansteuern.
Your AIR speaker will go into standby mode
automatically after approximately 30 minutes.
You can also induce this mode immediately
by pressing the standby button on the remote
control. The Air speaker will operate as normal
again as soon as the standby button or any
other button on the remote control is pressed
or if you activate the speaker with your smart-
phone.
By removing the insulation sheet on the back
of the remote control, the battery connection
is established and the remote control is ready
for operation.

Hinweis: Sollten Sie die LED abgeschal-
tet haben (siehe Seite 24 LED INFO)
können Sie nicht erkennen ob die AIR im
Stand-By Betrieb ist.
Note: If you switched off the LED (see
page 24, LED INFO), you will not be able
to tell whether or not the AIR is in standby
mode.
