Anygapsaretobeminimized.Iftherearof
thegatelinkframecontactsthemowerdeck

gapatthefront,usethestepsbelowtoinstall
ashim.Ifthegatelinkframehascomplete
contactallaroundthedischargeopening,the
shimisnotnecessary.Itcanremaininthe
storagepositionforpotentiallateruseon
othermowerdecks.

•DoNotmodifythisaccessory.
•Evaluatetheterraintodeterminewhataccessories
andattachmentsareneededtoproperlyand
safelyperformthejob.Onlyuseaccessoriesand
attachmentsapprovedbyExmark.
•Inspecttheareawherethemachineistobeused
andremoveallrocks,toys,sticks,wires,bones,
andotherforeignobjects.Thesecanbethrown
orinterferewiththeoperationofthemachine
andmaycausepersonalinjurytotheoperatoror
bystanders.
•ThemachinethattheOperatorControlled
Dischargeaccessoryattachestowasdesignedfor
oneoperatoronly.DoNotcarrypassengers.
•Wearappropriatepersonalprotectiveequipment
suchassafetyglasses,longpants,substantial
slip-resistantfootwear,andhearingprotection.
Tiebacklonghairandavoidlooseclothingand
loosejewelrywhichmaygettangledinmoving
parts.
•ThemachinethattheOperatorControlled
Dischargeaccessoryattachestoproducessound
levelsinexcessof85dBAattheoperator’sear
andcancausehearinglossthroughextended
periodsofexposure.Wearhearingprotection
whenoperatingthismachine.
•DoNotoperatethemowerwhenpeople,
especiallychildren,orpetsareinthearea.Shut
offthemachineandattachment(s)ifanyone
entersthearea.
•DoNotoperatethemachinewithouttheentire
grasscollectionsystem,dischargedeector,
orothersafetydevicesinplaceandinproper
workingcondition.Grasscatchercomponents
aresubjecttowear,damageanddeterioration,
whichcouldexposemovingpartsorallowobjects
tobethrown.Frequentlycheckforwornor
deterioratingcomponentsandreplacethemwith
