EX-1185HMVS-WT Deutsch
Der EX-1185HMVS-WT st e n USB 3.1 (Gen1) Metall HUB für b s zu 4 Endgeräte. Der
Hub st m t 4 Ports für Endgeräte und 1 Port für den Anschluss an den PC ausgestattet.
Er unterstützt alle USB Anschlüsse von 1.1 b s 3.1. Jeder Anschluss an der EX-
1185HMVS-WT st zusätzl ch verschraubbar. Durch d e Stromversorgung über den DC
Anschluss oder des Term nal Block können an jedem Port 900mA zur Verfügung gestellt
werden. Der USB 3.1 Bus unterstützt opt mal d e Le stung des schnellen Genesys
Ch psatz. Der EX-1185HMVS-WT gewährle stet so e ne s chere Datenübertragung und
exzellente Performance von b s zu 5Gb t/s. Er unterstützt den Self Powered und Bus
Powered Modus. D e EX-1185HMVS-WT unterstützt e nen E nsatz m Temperaturbe-
re ch von -40°C b s 85°C und e gnet s ch som t deal zum E nsatz n extrem Temperatur
abhäng gen Bere chen. Zusätzl ch st der EX-1185HMVS-WT m t e nem 15KV ESD Über-
spannungsschutz ausgestattet. Der EX-1185HMVS-WT unterstützt d e Norm IP30. Im
L eferumfang st das DIN-Ra l K t für d e Installat on auf e ne Trägersch ene enthalten. Das
DIN-Ra l K t w rd m t v er Schrauben auf der Rückse te festgeschraubt.

aber d e Mögl chke t d e EX-1185HMVS-WT m t Bus-Power zu versorgen. Dafür müs-
sen S e zu erst das Gehäuse m t den v er Schrauben auf den Se ten öffnen. Nun müs-
sen S e den Jumper JP1 von DIS (D sable) auf ENA (Enable) setzen. S ehe nachfol-
gende Abb ldung.
Achtung! Den Jumper J1 und J2 b tte n cht umsetzen, da d ese ausschl eßl ch von der
Produkt on zu Testzwecken verwendet w rd!

Beachten S e b tte d e folgenden Installat onsh nwe se. Da es große Untersch ede zw -
schen PC‘s g bt, können w r Ihnen nur e ne generelle Anle tung zum E nbau der EX-
1185HMVS-WT geben. Be Unklarhe ten halten S e s ch b tte an d e Bed enungsanle -
tung Ihres Computersystems.
1. Verb nden S e das m tgel eferte USB Kabel m t der USB B-Buchse des Hub´s.
2. Verb nden S e jetzt den Stromanschluss des opt onalen Netzte ls m t dem Term nal
Block des Hub´s und stecken S e den Netzstecker des Netzte ls n e ne Steckdose.
3. Verb nden S e nun das andere Ende (A-Stecker) des m tgel eferten USB Kabels m t
der A-Buchse an Ihrem PC.
5. Treiber Installation

Nach Abschluss der Hardware nstallat on erkennt das Betr ebssystem den EX-
1185HMVS-WT automat sch und nstall ert d esen.
ÜBERPRÜFEN DES INSTALLIERTEN TREIBER
Öffnen S e den >Geräte-Manager<. Jetzt müssten S e unter „USB-Controller“ folgen-
de E nträge sehen:
S nd d ese oder ähnl che E nträge vorhanden, st der USB Hub r cht g nstall ert.
Zur Re n gung des Gerätes verwenden S e b tte ausschl eßl ch e n trockenes n cht fa-
serndes Tuch und entfernen S e d e Verschmutzung m t le chtem Druck. Im Bere ch der
Anschlüsse b tte darauf Achten, dass ke ne Fasern des Tuchs n der Buchse h nterlas-
sen werden. Verwenden Sie bitte zu Reinigung in keine Fall ein feuchtes oder
nasses Tuch!

The EX-1185HMVS-WT s a plug & play h gh-speed USB 3.1 (Gen1) metal hub for 4
USB dev ces. The EX-1185HMVS-WT prov des 4 ports for USB dev ces and 1 upl nk
port for PC. It supports all USB connect ons from 1.1 to 3.1. All ports can f x w th screw
lock. V a a external power supply t s poss ble to prov de a max mum of 900mA on each
USB port. The EX-1185HMVS-WT des gn fully ut l ze the Genesys ch pset, wh ch repre-
sents the latest n SuperSpeed USB nterface technology. It uses data transfer rates up
to 5Gb t/s. It prov des a secure and very h gh data transfer on each s ngle port. The EX-
1185HMVS-WT support the Self Powered and Bus Powered mode. The EX-1185HMVS
-WT support a the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and t s deal for use n extreme
temperature dependent areas. In add t on the EX-1185HMVS-WT s equ pped w th an
15KV ESD surge protect on. The EX-1185HMVS-WT s IP30 compl ant. The DIN-Ra l
K t s ncluded n the extent of del very for nstallat on n a 19” Rack. The DIN-Ra l k t w ll
be t ghtened w th four screwed on the back of the EX-1185HMVS-WT.

The EX-1185HMVS-WT comes w th the sett ng Self-Power. You also have the poss -
b l ty the EX-1185HMVS-WT to supply Bus-Power. For th s you open the case w th the
four screws on both s des. Then you must set the jumper JP1 from DIS (D sable) to
ENA (Enable). See the follow ng p cture.
Attent on! Please do not change Jumper J1 and J2, because th s w ll only be used by
product on for test purposes!

Because there are large d fferences between PC’s, we can g ve you only a general n-
stallat on gu de. Please refer your computer’s reference manual whenever n doubt.
1. Connect the USB cable to the USB B-Port at the Hub.
2. Connect the opt onal power supply nto the term nal block at the Hub.
3. Now connect the other end from the USB cable (A-Plug) to the A-Port at your PC.

After the hardware nstallat on the OS w ll recogn ze the dev ce automat cally and nstall
the dr vers.
CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER
Open the >Device anager<. Now you should see at „USB-Controller“ the follow ng
new entry's:
If you see th s or a s m lar nformat on the dev ce s nstalled correctly.
For clean ng please use only a dry fluff less cloth and remove the d rt w th gently pres-
sure. In the area of the connectors please make sure that no f bres from the cloth re-
ma n n the connectors. Attention! Never use a oist or wet cloth for cleaning!
