Important Information:

2. If components are damaged or missing, contact your dealer

3. Do not transfer to or from this commode unless the casters are
locked

Intended Use:
To provide support over a toilet, as a bedside toilet.
Daily Maintenance:
•Always empty the sanitary bucket after using
•Clean Toilet seat and bucket
•Clean the upholstery and frame with a moist cloth
•Use the toilet detergents according to instructions given by a
manufacturer
•Remove contaminants like threads or hair off the movable parts of the
wheelchair (wheels, footrests).
Keeping all parts of the commode clean and using it properly will lengthen its
lifespan and provide years of trouble free service. Storing the commode in a
moist place (steam baths, shower rooms) or outside together with a lack of
hygiene can lead to excessive wear, malfunctions and material degradation.

Commode Assembly:
•Attach the casters by inserting the caster stem into the commode frame;
attaching the wheels equipped with brakes at the back of the commode
and the non-braked wheels in the front.
•Install the sanitary bucket under the seat on bucket frame

Instructions:
1) The commode can be used to transport the user very short distances
but it is not meant to be a transport device. Use for short trips only.
2) To use in place of a toilet, slip the sanitary bucket into its bracket
under the seat.
3) To use over a toilet, remove the sanitary bucket, if and back the
commode over the toilet.
4) To fold, remove sanitary bucket, move side frame outward and allow
seat support bar to fold down. Fold two side frames into the center.

Safety Information:
•This commode is designed for indoor use, assistance of a
caretaker is necessary to use.
•The commode cannot used to transport users over
architectural barriers (steps, driveways, ramps).
•Do not use the commode on soft, uneven, unprotected
surfaces such as grass, gravel or sand.
•Using the commode on slopes with a grade higher than 2% is
dangerous – risk of falling off the wheelchair.
•The commode cannot be used as seat in motor vehicles.
•In order to improve user’s safety, you can attach a safety belt.
•Do not stand on the seat of the commode
•Do not lean excessively in any direction when sitting on the
commode
Caution: It is dangerous to use the commode after discovering any
damage or when the wear of some parts may cause an accident. All
the repairs needs to be performed by skilled personnel.
Inspections:
The commode should be inspected every three months or more often
as needed. During the inspection one needs to:
•Check the brakes for damage or wear and insure they work
securely
•Check for loose or missing screws and hardware
•Check wheels for wear or damage and ensure they rotate freely
(a grinding noise may indicate bearings are worn and need
adjustment or replacement)
•Check frame joints for cracks or damage

Transfers:
In order to transfer to and from the commode the brakes must be locked and
a caregiver should be available to help.
The user can do a standing transfer from a bed, chair or wheelchair using
the armrests for support and balance and removing or swinging way the
footrests.
Alternatively the user can remove one arm and transfer onto the commode
seat using a sliding transfer style.
For users who cannot assist in transferring or need a lot of help various
types of lifts can be used for transfers.
Warranty:
Ezee Life™ products carry a one year warranty against manufacturing
defects, faulty materials and workmanship.
In the event of a defect covered by this warranty, we will, at our option,
repair or replace the item. Please contact your supplier/dealer for assistance
should a defect become apparent.
The warranty does not extend to consequential costs resulting from the
fault or defect in the product, in particular freight and travel costs, loss
of earnings, expenses or other expenses which may occur.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear resulting from
normal use or damage caused by accident, misuse, negligence or
improper installation or assembly.
The vendor/manufacturer will not accept responsibility for any damages
or injury caused by misuse, negligence or non-observance of the
instructions supplied.
