* Radio & wired control :
- The operator who uses the wired controller or radio
pocket transmitter is reponsible of the manœuvre
- The controllers has be operated by responsible adults
- Never push button of controller when a crew member
manipulates the electric drive unit.
- Mind untimely pushings (for instance when the controller is in
one pocket)
- Before any sail handling, make sure that it can safely be
untertaken.

C. CABLE LENGTH DETERMINATION

Place the drive unit and the deck
socket on considered positions

Position and stick the drilling
template
Measure the necessary wire length (L1)
to connect the drive unit to the deck
socket
Snap shackle axis

Cut the electric wire (L) at the (L1)
distance previously measured (+ 20 cm
safety margin)

Strip the cut electric wire

Weld with tin the wire to the mobile
plug

Assemble the snap shackle to the drive unit
(2 possible positions )
Check the chain

Drill the deck following the template :
x2 (ø7) + 1x (ø27)

after have recut if necessary the wire

- Rinse with clear water the mechanisms after every use

Slightly tighten the
sheet, then press the
radio- or wired control
button to furl in
Tighten the tension
into the luff before
furling
Progressively release
the sheet so that the
sail furls in properly
End the handling.
Do not leave the sail
hoisted if the wind rises
A - BEFORE HOISTING
B - HOISTING PRECAUTIONS
- Always anticipate the sail handling : start it conditions permitting and rigorously respect the sail use range specified
by the sailmaker (use range)
- Use of a 2to1 system (friction snapshackle) : minimum tack angle 60°. Refer to the user manual (see options).
C - FURLING
- The anti-torsion quality of the luff rope ensures the furling efficiency. For any enquiry, please contact one Facnor dealer
- Release well the sheet while sailing further downwind for easier furling.

Always check if anything prevents the top swivel or the head of the sail from free
rotation. Most failed sail handling come from there.

attach the snapshacklein the right orientation

D – SECURE/RELEASE MECHANISM PIN :
Plug the drive unit onto the deck socket Unfurl the flying sail while watching
the environment
E – FXe STORAGE :
- After lowering the flying sail, disconnect the electric drive unit from the deck socket
and then remove it from the chain plate. Fit the protection cap on the socket.
