1. Introduction
1.1. Overview
This document introduces the methods to reset Fanvil PA2S & PA3.
1.2. Applicable Model
Fanvil PA2S and PA3.
1.3. Before You Start
Step1.
Prepare PoE switch, network cable, PA2S/PA3, computer.
Step2.
Refer to the connection diagram, connect PA2S/PA3 and computer to the switch.

2. How to Reset PA2S & PA3
There are three methods to reset PA2S and PA3, via web page management system, via reset key
and via post mode. Please check the following steps for detail.
2.1. Reset PA2S/PA3 via web page management system
Step1.
Refer to the connection diagram, connect the computer and PA2S/PA3 to the same PoE switch with
Network cable.
Step2.
Open web browser and input device’s IP address in browser;
Step3.
Input web login username and password;
Step4.
Go to SystemConfiguration page, click reset to clear all configurations;
Device will clear all the configurations and reboot automatically.
Notice: Do not disconnect power or network during the operation.

2.2. Reset PA2S/PA3 via Reset key
Step1.
Refer to the connection diagram, connect PA2S/PA3 to the PoE switch with Network cable.
Step2.
For PA2S:
Press and hold the Reset key for 3 seconds, the device will restart and restore the factory settings
after indicator light blinks.
For PA3:
Press and hold the Reset key for 6 seconds, the device will restart and restore the factory settings
after indicator light blinks.
2.3. Reset PA2S/PA3 via post mode
Step1.
Refer to the connection diagram, connect the computer and PA2S/PA3 to the same PoE switch with
Network cable.
Step2.
Power on PA2S again or PA3, when LED blinks fast, press its volume up button or volume down
button once, device will go to post mode and its LED blinks slowly;
Step3.
Check the device is in post mode:
Connect the device and PC to same switch, add IP address 192.168.1.2 on the PC.
“ping 192.168.1.179”to check the device’s status:

If you get reply from 192.168.1.179, it proves that the device is in post mode, otherwise you need
to repeat step2 again.
Step4.
Press volume down button 3 times quickly and continuously to reset and reboot the device
automatically.
