2.
Construction
The
grinding
spindle
is
mounted
axially
adjustable
in
a
clamp-
ing
block.
It
is
driven
v
ia
e
ndless
belt
by
a
3-phase
motor.
Th
e
motor
is
guarded
by
a
filter
against
dust
and
dirt
and
is
adjust-
able
at
the
clamping
block
by
means
of
a
rocker.
The
block
is
slotted
for
mounting
on
the
slide
of
a
machine
tool.
Th
e
re
duced
spindle
overhang
guarantees
precise
surface
finish.
3. External
or
internal
grinding
For
th
ese
mod
es
of
grinding
use
different
pu
ll
eys
and
driving
belts
in
order
to
attain
the
highest
possibl
e
peripheral
speed
of
the
grinding
wheel.
Moreover
,
external
grinding
requires
a
wheel
guard.
The
extension
spindles
on
pages
2
and
3
are
used
for
internal
grinding.
When
replacing
grinding
wheel
flange
(63)
or
extension
spindles,
MT-so
cke
t
as
well
as
tapered
spindle
should
be
slightly
lubric
ated
.
When
replacing
pulley
or
grinding
wheel
tak
e
care
that
spindle
is
not
forc
ed
,
in
or
der to
avoid
dam
age
to
ball
bearings
or
axia
l
pla
y ,
which
imp
a
ir
the
surface
finish.
4.
Connection
Check
connection
of
socket
and
earthing
conductor
(voltage
tester)
before
connecting
the
tool.
Run
tool
unload
ed
for
a
short
time
in
order
to
ch
eck
th
e
pr
esc
ribed
direction
of
rot
at
ion
and
to
avo
id
loo
se
ning
of
the
grinding
wheel
while
work
ing.
Further
,
check
the
running
of
the
driving
be
lt
.
The
tension
of
the
belt
must
not
be
too
high
in
order
to
avoid
unnecessary
stress
on
or
damage
to
the
spindle
bearings.
For
external
grinding
mind
correct
adjustment
of
the
wheel
guard.

Tending
the
driving
belt
Unscrew
he
