1Benutzerhinweise
Die Diagnose-Baugruppe Typ SPC200-MMI-DIAG dient bestim-
mungsgemäß als Diagnose-Baugruppe für den Smart
Positioning Controller SPC200. Die Diagnose-Baugruppe stellt 2
serielle Schnittstellen zur Verfügung. Eine dient zum Anschluß
des Bedienfeldes Typ SPC-MMI-1 und eine zum Anschluß eines
PC. Die serielle Schnittstelle für den PC ist auf einen 9poligen
Stecker Submin-D herausgeführt und entspricht der Norm
RS-232.

VORSICHT:
Beachten Sie unbedingt die dort aufgeführten:
– Sicherheitstechnischen Hinweise
– den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch der jeweiligen
Baugruppen und Module.
WARNUNG:
Aktoren können ungewollt aktiviert und der SPC200 beschä-
digt werden, wenn Baugruppen bei eingeschalteter Span-
nungsversorgung hinzugefügt oder entfernt werden.
Schalten Sie vor Installations- und Wartungsarbeiten folgen-
de Energiequellen in folgender Reihenfolge ab:
1. Druckluftversorgung
2. Lastversorgung und Betriebsspannungsversorgung des
SPC200.

2Aus- und Einbau von Baugruppen
VORSICHT:
Unsachgemäße Handhabung kann zur Beschädigung der
Baugruppen führen.
• Berühren Sie keine Bauelemente.
• Beachten Sie die Handhabungsvorschriften für elektro-
statisch gefährdete Bauelemente.
• Entladen Sie sich vor dem Ein- oder Ausbau von Bau-
gruppen elektrostatisch, zum Schutz der Baugruppen vor
Entladung statischer Elektrizität.
Maximal kann 1 Diagnose-Baugruppe in einem Baugruppenträ-
ger installiert werden. Steckplatz 1 (linker Steckplatz) ist für die
Versorgungsbaugruppe (Typ SPC-200-PWR-AIF) reserviert. Die
Diagnose-Baugruppen können Sie in einen beliebigen anderen
Steckplatz installieren. Zum sicheren Halt des Bedienfeldes
muß dieses auf den angrenzenden Frontplatten aufliegen kön-
nen. Installieren Sie die Diagnose-Baugruppe daher nicht in
den letzten Steckplatz. Die individuelle Identifikation aller einge-
steckten Baugruppen erfolgt automatisch.
Baugruppen ausbauen
1. Betriebsspannung und Druckluftversorgung abschalten.
2. Anschlußkabel auf der Baugruppenfront lösen und abziehen.
3. Beide Sicherungshebel durch Verschieben entriegeln (siehe
folgendes Bild).
4. Baugruppe an der Frontplatte fassen und herausziehen.
5. Ggf. freibleibende Steckplätze mit Blindplatten verschließen.

Baugruppen einbauen
1. Druckluftversorgung und Betriebsspannungsversorgung ab-
schalten.
2. Ggf. Sicherungshebel entriegeln und Blindplatte entfernen.
3. Baugruppe an der Frontplatte fassen und in die Führungs-
schiene einschieben. Achten Sie darauf, daß Sie die Bau-
gruppe beim Einschieben nicht verkanten und keine Bauteile
auf der Leiterplatte beschädigt werden.
4. Achten Sie darauf, daß die Stecker der Messerleisten richtig
aufeinander liegen. Schieben Sie die Baugruppe dann mit
leichtem Druck vollständig ein. Daraufhin verriegeln die
Sicherungshebel selbsttätig (siehe Bild).

3Installation
Die serielle Schnittstelle X4 wird mit folgenden Einstellungen
betrieben:
–Übertragungsrate: 9,6...115,2 kBaud
–Datenbits: 8 Bit
–Parität: even
–1 Stop Bit
–kein Handshake
Zum Anschließen eines PCs benötigen Sie:
–ein geschirmtes Verbindungskabel (z. B. Festo Diagnoseka-
bel Typ KDI-PPA-3-BU9)
–einen PC mit serieller Schnittstelle (RS-232) und installierter
Programmier- und Inbetriebnahme-Sortware WinPISA Typ
P.SW-WINPISA-....
HINWEIS:
Wenn Sie das Verbindungskabel eines anderen Herstellers
nutzen möchten, beachten Sie die folgende Pin-Belegung.
Verwenden Sie ein geschirmtes Kabel und schließen Sie
den Schirm am Steckergehäuse an.

Anschluß für Bedienfeld (X3)
Das Bedienfeld Typ SPC200-MMI-... läßt sich bei abgeschalte-
ter Versorgungsspannung direkt auf die obere Schnittstelle auf-
stecken.
VORSICHT:
Das Aufstecken des Bedienfeldes unter Spannung kann zu
Beschädigungen am Bedienfeld führen.
Schalten Sie vor dem Aufstecken des Bedienfeldes die
Betriebsspannungsversorgung ab.

1User instructions
The diagnostic module type SPC200-MMI-DIAG is designed for
diagnosing the SPC200 Smart Positioning Controller. The
diagnostic module has 2 serial interfaces. One interface is for
connection to a type SPC-MMI-1 control panel and the other is
for connection to a PC. The serial interface for the PC is in the
form of a 9-pin Submin-D connector and complies with standard
RS-232.
Detailed information about the module can be found in the User

CAUTION
Pay strict attention to the following instructions shown
therein:
– safety guidelines
– specifications for the use of each module and component.
WARNING
Actuators can be accidentally activated and the SPC200
damaged, if modules are inserted or removed with the
power switched on.
Before installation or maintenance work switch off the follow-
ing power sources in the following order:
1. Compressed air supply
2. The load supply and operating voltage supply of the
SPC200.

2Fitting and removing the modules
CAUTION
Modules can be damaged by incorrect handling.
• Do not touch any of the components.
• Follow the instructions for handling components which
are affected by electrostatic charges.
• Discharge yourself electrostatically before inserting or
removing modules in order to protect the components
from discharges of static electricity.
A maximum of 1 diagnostic module can be installed in the rack.
The first (left-hand) slot is reserved for the power supply module
(type SPC-200-PWR-AIF). Diagnostic modules can be installed
in any of the remaining slots. In order that the control panel can
be secured, it must overlap the adjacent front panel. The
diagnostic module must not therefore be mounted in the last
slot. Each installed module is identified automatically.
Removing the modules
1. Switch off the power and compressed air supply.
2. Disconnect the connecting cable on the front of the module
and remove it.
3. Slide the two safety catches sideways to unlock them
(see diagram below).
4. Take hold of the module by the front plate and extract it.
5. Fill any remaining empty slots with blank panels.

Fitting the modules
1. Switch off the compressed air supply and operating voltage
supply.
2. If necessary unlock the safety catches and remove any
blank panels.
3. Take hold of the front plate of the module and slide it into
the guide rail. Be careful not to tilt the module when you are
sliding it into the slot, and make sure that none of the com-
ponents on the board are damaged.
4. Make sure that the pins on the connectors are correctly
aligned. Then with a light pressure of the fingers push the
module fully home. The safety catches will then lock auto-
matically (see diagram).

3Installation
The serial interface X4 is operated with the following settings:
–Baud rate: 9.6...115.2 kbaud
–Data bits: 8-bit
–Parity: even
–1 stop bit
–no handshake
For connection to a PC you will need:
–a screened connecting cable (e.g. a Festo diagnostic cable
type KDI-PPA-3-BU9)
–a PC with a serial interface (RS-232) with WinPISA pro-
gramming and commissioning sortware type P.SW-WIN-
PISA-.... installed.
PLEASE NOTE
If you use another manufacturer’s connecting cable,
make sure that it has the correct pin assignment. Use
a screened cable and connect the screening to the
connector casing.

Connection to the control panel (X3)
The type SPC200-MMI-... control panel can be plugged directly
to the upper interface with the power switched off.
CAUTION
Connecting the control panel with the power on can damage
the control panel.
Switch off the operating voltage supply before you plug in
the control panel.
