The FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 is a wireless LAN device for the USB port. At your

Wireless LAN Connections
You can establish wireless LAN connections in three simple ways.
AVM Stick&Surf (page 7)
Stick&Surf is especially simple and secure. With Stick&Surf the FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430 adopts the security settings of a FRITZ!Box and automatically estab-
lishes a secure wireless LAN connection.

WPS Quick Connection (page 8)
The FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 can be connected with the wireless access
point via WPS. WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is a fast and simple way to establish a
secure connection between wireless LAN devices. WPS is supported by all current
FRITZ!Box models with wireless LAN and by many wireless LAN access points from
other manufacturers. See the documentation for your wireless access point.

Direct Connections (page 10)
A direct connection, or ad-hoc network, is a wireless LAN consisting of several
participants that does without a wireless access point by enabling simple, direct
data exchange between the network devices.
Establishing a Wireless Connection with Stick&Surf
With Stick&Surf you can establish a secure wireless connection to your FRITZ!Box auto-
matically using the USB port.

1. Insert the FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430
in the FRITZ!Box.
2. The Info LED on the FRITZ!Box flashes.
Wait until the Info LED stops flashing
and remains lit up.
3. Remove the FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430.
4. Insert the FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430
in your booted computer.
5. The device driver installation starts.
6. Click AVM FRITZ!WLANUSB Stick
AC430 Installation and confirm the
subsequent queries. The FRITZ!WLAN
USB StickAC430 will be installed.
7. The Stick&Surf logo appears and the
connection to your FRITZ!Box is estab-
lished automatically. Please note the
information on the FRITZ!WLAN software
on page 11.

1. Insert the FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430 in your computer.

3. Click the wireless network icon
in the notification area of the
Windows task bar.
A list appears on the screen, show-
ing all wireless networks found in
the vicinity of the FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430.
If the list does not appear, click
Connect to a network.
Establishing a Wireless Connection Using WPS QuickConnection
The FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 can establish wireless connections to wireless
access points with WPS. If a participating wireless LAN device does not support WPS,
the connection can be established manually.

3. Click the wireless network icon in

4. Create an adhoc network.
5. Assign a name and a network key.
6. The network is set up and awaits
users.

Direct Connections
A direct connection (or adhoc network) is a network consisting of several wireless de-
vices, which does without an access point and enables simple, direct data exchange.
The network is set up by one of the wireless LAN devices; the other participants then
register with this network.

The FRITZ!WLAN software is installed on your computer along with the FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430. With FRITZ!WLAN you receive information on your wireless LAN connec-

Starting FRITZ!WLAN
Double-click the FRITZ!WAN icon in the Windows task bar. FRITZ!WLAN is started.

For wireless LAN connections the FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 must use the same
standard and the same frequency band as your wireless access point. This means that
the settings of the wireless access point determine which standard is used in a radio
network.
The best transmission speeds can be achieved by operating your wireless access
point in the 5-GHz frequency band. The 5-GHz band is subject to less interference and
provides more channels for transmission than the 2.4-GHz frequency band.
Licensing Terms
The licensing conditions valid for the FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 are stipulated
in the Online Help of the FRITZ!WLAN software.
In accordance with the Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive, the
FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 may not be disposed with household waste. Please

station im 5-GHz-Frequenzband betreiben. Das 5-GHz-Band ist störungsärmer und
stellt mehr nutzbare Kanäle zur Verfügung als das 2,4-GHz-Frequenzband.

Conexiones inalámbricas
Podrá establecer conexiones inalámbricas de tres maneras diferentes.
Con la tecnología de AVM “Stick&Surf” (pág. 27)
Stick&Surf es un método especialmente sencillo y seguro. Con Stick&Surf el
FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 asume la configuración de seguridad de FRITZ!Box y
establece automáticamente la conexión WiFi.

Conexión rápida WPS (pág. 28)
FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 podrá conectarse a través de WPS con una estación
inalámbrica. WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) es un método simple y rápido de esta-
blecer una conexión segura entre dispositivos inalámbricos. WPS es compatible
con todos los modelos actuales de FRITZ!Box con estaciones WiFi y con las estacio-
nes WiFi base de muchos otros fabricantes. Tenga en cuenta las recomendaciones
que encontrará en la documentación del dispositivo que utilice.

Conexión directa (pág. 30)
Una conexión directa o red “ad hoc”, es una red inalámbrica compuesta por
varios abonados, que no requiere de una estación inalámbrica base y que permite
a los dispostivos inalámbricos fácilmente el intercambio directo de datos.
Establecimiento de la conexión WiFi con Stick&Surf
Con Stick&Surf podrá establecer automáticamente una conexión WiFi con su FRITZ!Box
utilizando el puerto para accesorios USB.
Establecer conexión
1. Conecte el FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430
al puerto USB de su FRITZ!Box.
2. El indicador “Info” de FRITZ!Box comen-
zará a parpadear. Espere hasta que el
indicador brille constantemente.
3. Ahora podrá desconectar el
FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430.
4. Inserte el FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430
e inicie el ordenador.
5. Se instalará el driver.
6. Haga clic en “AVM FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430 Installation” ; confirme
las preguntas a continuación. Así se
habrá concluido la instalación.
7. Luego aparecerá el logotipo de
Stick&Surf y se establecerá automá-
ticamente la conexión a su FRITZ!Box.

El FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 puede establecer con WPS conexiones inalámbricas a
estaciónes WiFi. Si un determinado dispositivo inalámbrico no es compatible con WPS
podrá establecer manualmente la conexión.
4. Seleccione la red de una estación
base y haga clic sobre “Conectar”.
Aparecerá la ventana para indicar la
clave de la red WiFi.

Crear una red
1. Conecte el FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430 al ordenador.
2. Haga clic en “AVM FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430 Installation” ; confir-
me las preguntas a continuación. Así
se habrá concluido la instalación.
3. Haga clic en la barra de tareas de
Windows sobre el símbolo WiFi.
4. Cree una red WiFi de tipo ad hoc.
5. Asígnele un nombre y una clave de
seguridad.
La red habrá sido configurada y está a la
espera de usuarios.

Conexión directa
Una conexión directa (red ad hoc) es una red inalámbrica compuesta por varios abona-
dos, que no requiere de una estación inalámbrica base y que permite a los dispostivos
inalámbricos fácilmente el intercambio directo de datos. La red será creada por un
abonado inalámbrico, y los otros abonado tendrá que entrar a la red.
El programa FRITZ!WLAN
El programa FRITZ!WLAN se instalará conjuntamente con el FRITZ!WLANUSB
StickAC430 en su ordenador. Con FRITZ!WLAN tendrá información sobre la conexión
WiFi y sobre la configuración del FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430.
Iniciar FRITZ!WLAN
Haga doble clic en la barra de tareas de Windows sobre el símbolo
FRITZ!WLAN. Se iniciará FRITZ!WLAN.

Para establecer conexiones WiFi el FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 debe estar ajustado
en el mismo estándar y en la misma banda de frecuencia que la estación base. Por
ello depende de la configuración inalámbrica de la estación base que tipo de estándar
se utiliza en la red WiFi.
La velocidad de transmisión ideal se alcanza cuando la estación base trabaja en la
banda de frecuencia de 5 GHz. La banda de 5 GHz presenta menos disturbios y ofrece
más canales utilizables disponibles que la banda de frecuencia de 2,4 GHz.

Vous pouvez établir les connexions sans fil à l’aide de trois méthodes simples.
AVM Stick&Surf (page 37)
Stick&Surf est particulièrement simple et sécurisé. AvecStick&Surf, la clé
FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 reprend les paramètres de sécurité d’une FRITZ!Box
et établit automatiquement une connexion sans fil sécurisée.

La clé FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 peut être connectée à la station de base sans
fil à l’aide du WPS. Le WPS est une méthode rapide et simple pour établir une
connexion sécurisée entre deux périphériques sans fil. Le WPS est pris en charge
par tous les modèles actuels de FRITZ!Box dotés de la fonction sans fil ainsi que
par la plupart des stations de base sans fil des autres fournisseurs. À ce propos,
veuillez tenir compte de la documentation de votre station de base sans fil.

Une connexion directe, ou réseau adhoc, est un réseau sans fil qui comprend

Établissement d’une connexion sans fil avec Stick&Surf
Grâce à la technologie Stick&Surf, vous pouvez établir de manière automatique une
connexion sans fil sécurisée à votre FRITZ!Box en recourant au portUSB.
Établir la connexion
1. Insérez la clé FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430
dans votre FRITZ!Box.
2. Le voyant Info de FRITZ!Box clignote.
Patientez jusqu’à ce que le voyant Info
reste allumé.
3. Retirez la clé FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430.
4. Insérez la clé FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430
dans votre ordinateur préalablement
démarré.
5. Le pilote de périphérique démarre.
6. Cliquez sur AVM FRITZ!WLANUSB

Établissement d’une connexion sans fil rapide avec le WPS
À l’aide du WPS, la clé FRITZ!WLANUSB StickAC430 peut établir des connexions sans
fil avec des stations de base sans fil. Si l’un des périphériques sans fil ne supporte
pas le WPS, vous pouvez établir la connexion manuellement.
4. Sélectionnez le réseau sans fil d’une base
sans fil, puis cliquez sur Connecter.
La fenêtre destinée à saisir la clé réseau
sans fil apparaît.
Vous trouverez la clé réseau sans fil de
toute FRITZ!Box sur la face inférieure de
l’appareil.
Lorsque la connexion sans fil a été établie
à l’aide du WPS, l’icône WPS s’affiche.
Si vous utilisez une FRITZ!Box, enfoncez
la toucheWLAN/WPS jusqu’à ce que le
voyant lumineux «WLAN» clignote.
La connexion sans fil va être établie.
