STEP 1: Unpack and Inspect the GE Autosampler
STEP 2: Complete the Identication Records
Enter the serial number of your GE Autosampler on page 3 of the
Sievers InnovOx Laboratory Operation and Maintenance Manual.
STEP 3: Select a Location
Place the GE Autosampler to the left of an installed Analyzer
on a clean, unobstructed surface that can accommodate
the dimensions and weight detailed in the Specications
Summary. Place the front of the GE Autosampler parallel with the
front of the Analyzer. For proper heat dissipation, ensure that 16 cm
(6.3 in) is available at the rear and on both sides of the Analyzer.
Keep away from direct sunlight. For proper operation and to avoid
measurement errors, ensure that the environment temperature is no
greater than 40ª C (104ª F) or lower than 10ª C (50ª F).
STEP 4: Install the Stirring Plates (Optional)

1. Using a at-blade screwdriver (turn counter-clockwise
ONLY), slightly lower the needle arm to make room for
using the wrench in Step 4.
2. Unsrew the PEEK nut at the top of the needle assembly
and remove the protective cap from needle tip.
3. Position the needle into the arm, lowering the tip
through the lower mount block, and pushing the top of
the assembly upware and into the upper mount block.
4. Secure with the nut (placed over the washer), and
tighten with 1/2” open-end wrench. Be careful NOT to
over-tighten the nut.
5. Screw the PEEK nut (with the sample tubing attached)
back into the threaded mount of the needle assembly
until it is nger tight. DO NOT over-tighten the nut.
6. Using a at-blade screwdriver, raise the arm back into
place.

Connecting Directly to a Computer
1. Connect the GE Autosampler to the Analyzer using the
provided USB-to-Serial cable.
2. Connect the Analyzer to a network using a straight-thru
Ethernet cable or directly to a computer using a cross-
over Ethernet cable.
3. Insert the power cord into the GE Autosampler and then
connect to a grounded power outlet.

Refer to the “GE Autosampler User Interface” chapter in the Sievers
InnoOx Laboratory TOC Analyzer Operation and Maintenance Manual.

Na página 3 do manual de instruções de seu instrumento de
laboratório Sievers InnovOx, preencha o campo referente ao número
de série de seu amostrador.
ETAPA 3: Selecionar um local
Posicione o amostrador automático GE à esquerda do analisador
já instalado, em uma superfície limpa e desobstruída que possa
acomodar as dimensões e o peso do amostrador conforme
especicações. Posicione a parte frontal do amostrador automático
GE paralela à parte frontal de analisador Sievers InnovOx. Para que
ocorra dissipação de calor adequada, deixe 16 cm livres na parte de
trás e nas duas laterais do analisador.

第三步：选择安装地点

散热空间。

1. Baje el brazo de aguja ligeramente con un

del conjunto de aguja y retire la tapa de protección de
la punta de la aguja.
3. Coloque la aguja en el brazo, bajando la punta por
el bloque del soporte inferior y empujando la parte
superior del conjunto hacia arriba y dentro del bloque
de soporte superior.
4. Asegure con la tuerca (colocada encima de la
arandela) y apriétela con una llave española de ½ pg.
Tenga cuidado de NO excederse en el apriete de la
tuerca.
5. Levante nuevamente el brazo con un destornillador
de punta plana y vuelva a colocarlo nuevamente en el
lugar.

Collegamento diretto a un computer
1. Collegare GE Autosampler all’analizzatore usando il cavo
da “USB a Serial” in dotazione.
2. Collegare l’analizzatore a una rete usando un cavo
Ethernet diretto o direttamente a un computer usando un
cavo Ethernet incrociato.
3. Inserire il cavo di alimentazione nel GE
Autosampler e collegarlo a una presa con messa a terra.

1. Utilizzando un giravite a testa piatta (ruotare solo in
senso antiorario), abbassare leggermente il braccio
dell’ago per fare spazio in modo da poter utilizzare la
chiave del Passaggio 4.
2. Svitare il dado PEEK nella parte superiore del gruppo
dell’ago e rimuovere la copertura protettiva dalla punta
dell’ago.
3. Posizionare l’ago nel braccio abbassando la punta
attraverso il blocco di montaggio inferiore e spingendo
la parte superiore del gruppo verso l’alto e nel blocco di
montaggio superiore.
4. Fissare con il dado (sopra la rondella) e stringere con
una chiave ssa da ½ poll. NON stringere troppo il dado.
5. Usando un giravite a testa piatta, sollevare il braccio e
riportarlo in posizione.

Absenken der Nadelaufnahme
Schritt 1: Auspacken und Inspizieren des Analysators

Tragen Sie die Seriennummer des GE Autosamplers auf Seite 3 der
Betriebs- und Wartungsanleitung für den Sievers InnovOx Labor ein.
Schritt 3: Auswahl eines Aufstellungsortes
Stellen Sie den GE Autosampler links neben einen installierten
Analysator auf einer sauberen, freien Fläche ab, die geeignet ist,
Abmessungen und Gewicht gemäß Spezikationszusammenfassung
aufzunehmen. Stellen Sie den GE Autosampler so auf, dass seine Front
parallel zur Front des Analysators steht. Stellen Sie für die ordentliche
Wärmeableitung sicher, dass 16 cm nach hinten und zu beiden Seiten
des Analysators frei bleiben.
Vermeiden Sie direkte Sonneneinstrahlung. Stellen Sie für den
ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb und zur Vermeidung von Messfehlern
sicher, dass die Umgebungstemperatur 40 °C nicht über- und 10 °C
nicht unterschreitet.

Direkt an einen Computer anschließen
1. Schließen Sie den GE Autosampler mit dem
mitgelieferten USB-an-Serie-Kabel am Analysator an.
2. Schließen Sie den Analysator mit einem nicht
gekreuzten Ethernet-Kabel an ein Netzwerk oder
mit einem gekreuzten Ethernet-Kabel direkt an einem
Computer an.
3. Steck Sie das Netzkabel am GE Autosampler
ein und verbinden Sie ihn dann mit einer geerdeten
Stromversorgungsbuchse.

1. Senken Sie den unteren Nadelarm mit einem
Schlitzschraubendreher (NUR nach links drehen), etwas
ab, so dass genügend Platz für den Schlüssel in Schritt
4 ist.
2. Schrauben Sie die PEEK-Mutter oben auf der
Nadelbaugruppe ab und entfernen Sie die Schutzkappe
von der Nadelspitze.
3. Positionieren Sie die Nadel in den Arm, senken Sie die
Spitze durch den unteren Aufnahmeblock und schieben
Sie den oberen Teil der Baugruppe nach oben und in
den oberen Aufnahmeblock.
4. Sichern Sie die Mutter (bendet sich über der
Unterlegscheibe) und ziehen Sie diese mit einem 1/2”-
Gabelschlüssel fest. Achten Sie darauf, die Mutter NICHT
zu fest anzuziehen.
5. Heben Sie den Arm mit einem Schlitzschraubendreher
wieder in seine Stellung zurück.
Schritt 8: Führen der Probenschläuche
Verwenden Sie den größeren
Haken, wenn Sie an den Sievers
InnovOx Labor TOC-Analysator
anschließen.

Baisser le support de l’aiguille
ÉTAPE 1 : Déballer et vérier le passeur d’échantillons GE
ÉTAPE 2 : Remplir les documents d’identication
Compléter le numéro de série de votre passeur d’échantillons GE à la
page 3 du Manuel d’utilisation et de Maintenance du Laboratoire
InnovOx Sievers.
ÉTAPE 3 : Sélectionner un emplacement
Placez le passeur d’échantillons GE à gauche d’un analyseur installé
sur une surface propre et dégagée qui peut contenir les dimensions et
poids détaillés dans le résumé des caractéristiques techniques. Placez
la partie avant du passeur d’échantillons GE parallèle à la partie avant
de l’analyseur. Pour la dissipation de la chaleur, assurez-vous de laisser
16 cm (6,3 pouces) à l’arrière et sur les deux côtés de l’analyseur.
Maintenir à l’abri des rayons solaires. Pour un fonctionnement correct
et pour éviter des erreurs de mesure, assurez-vous que la température
environnante n’est pas supérieure à 40ºC (104ºF) ou inférieure à 10ºC
(50ºF).

1. Connecter le passeur d’échantillons GE à l’analyseur en

1. À l’aide d’un tournevis à tête plate (tournez SEULEMENT
dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre),
descendez doucement le bras de l’aiguille pour faire
place pour utiliser la clé de l’étape 4.
2. Dévissez l’écrou en PEEK dans la partie supérieure du
montage de l’aiguille et enlevez le bouchon protecteur
de la pointe de l’aiguille.
3. Positionnez l’aiguille dans le bras, baissez la pointe
à travers le bloc inférieur de montage, et poussez la
partie supérieure du montage vers le haut et dans le
bloc supérieur de montage.
4. Fixez à l’aide de l’écrou (placé au-dessus de la rondelle)
et serrez avec une clé à fourche ½”. Attention de NE PAS
trop serrer l’écrou.
5. À l’aide d’un tournevis à tête plate, relevez le bras à sa
place.

For continued protection against re hazard, replace fuse with
same type and rating.
• This is a Safety Class 1 product. It must be attached to a grounded
power source. If this instrument is used in a manner not specied by GE
Analytical Instruments USA, the protection provided by the instrument
may be impaired.
• Always stop TOC measurements /protocols before turning o or
unplugging the GE Autosampler.
• Observe the following guidelines when using the GE Autosampler in
conjunction with ammable liquids. To reduce the risk of re, the GE
Autosampler shall not be used to sample ammable liquids with a ash
point of less than ambient temperature + 25ºC. Other than the needle,
the GE Autosampler should have no parts in contact with the uid.
Ensure that no parts, in or near the uid surface are capable of igniting
a ammable liquid.
• Keep clear of the probe arm during operation. Although it is designed to
stop upon detecting an obstruction, the probe arm can move without
warning during normal operation and at start-up.
