1 –Connectingthe telephone
- Connect thehandset cord (1).
- Openthe battery door by unscrewing theretaining screw.
Insert 4xAAA alkaline batteries (not included) (2). Incase
of power failure, batteries are required for the ring.
- Snap the battery door back inplace.
- Connect the line cord (*) (3).
- Connect the shaker cord (optional).
- Connect theheadset cord (optional).
- Connect the PTT plug to the wall socket (*) (3)
- Connect the adaptor cord tothe telephone (4).
- Connect the adaptor to youwall socket (**)(4).
(*) Classified TNV-3 according to EN62368-1 standard.
(**) Classified “hazardous voltage”according to EN62368-1 standard.
2 –Alarm andringer volumesetting
A 3 positionswitchlocated on the right side of the phoneallows
the settings below:
0: Only the ringer is activated.
: Ringer and shaker are activated.
:Ringer and flashLED are activated.

3 –Ringer settings
Aswitchlocated onrightside allows theringer to be switched
HI, LOW, OFF :
: Off, : Low, : Hi.
Yourphonecomes withtheringer switchedto «High»andthe
melody set to «6».

Melody 3 7 8 9
If you dont like the ringer melody,youcanchoose a new one
by changing thesettings as follow:
- Lift thehandset.
- Press utton.
- Press #button.
- Press any button 1 to 9.
Ringer willbe activated onnext call.
4 –Tone/Pulse switch(T/P)
TheTone/Pulse switchisfactorypre-setto Toneposition.In
theUK, all telephoneexchanges now useTone(T)dialing. If
yourphone does not dialout,itisprobablybeing usedfrom an
olderprivate switchboard(PBX). Inthiscase, the Tone/Pulse
switchmust be changed to Pulse (P).
5 –TimeBreak Recall setting (300/100)
For the UK, the TBR switchis factory pre-set to 100ms. It can
be switched to 300ms for other locations or PBX s.

6 –Hotel message waitingswitch
These are used withthe new services provided onhotel network.
A switch located behind your phone allows to set ON the
hotel message waitingfunction.Whentheswitchissetting ON
andwhenyoureceive amessage, theredlightislitto inform
youthat youhave a message onthe phone.
7 –Wall mounting
Drill2 holes inthewall (80 mm apart).
Insert the wall plugs and thescrews leaving about 6 mm of
the screws projecting from thewall. Slide the telephone
downwards to secure.

If you are using this telephonewith a
hearing aid, set your hearing aid to
the T”setting.
8 –Answeringincoming call
Without headset :
-Whenan incoming call is received thephone will ring and flash,
to answer the calllift the handset and speak.
- Oncompletionof the call, carefully replace the handset inthe
cradle to release theline.
With headset (option) :
- Whenanincomingcall isreceived andifyou wishto answer
the call withtheheadset, press buttonand speak.
-Oncompletionofthecall,press buttonagainto release
the line.
In handsfree mode :
-Whenanincoming call isreceivedthephonewill ring,to
answer the call press button.
-Oncompletionofthecall,press the button torelease
the line.
9 –Receivingvolume andtoneadjustment
Youcanincreasethe volume and adjust the receivingtone
accordingtoyour ownhearingrequirements.Thebutton+40dB
allows extrareceivingand tone functionstobe activated
or notduring theconversation.
Whenthe functionis activated, the red light of extra receiving
and tone functionlocated near the button islit. Adjust
the TONE and VOLUME buttons tomovethe level to yourown
hearing requirements.

Note :
lWhentheswitch locatedbehindthephone is ON,theextra
-receivingandtone functionsare automaticallyactivated
eachtimeyouusethe phone. Whenthe is switched OFF,
you willneed to activate thefunctionbypressingthebutton
+40dB (or +60dB for the AmpliPOWER50).
lToneand volumeadjustment(20dB à40dB for the
AmpliPOWER40 and 30dB à60dB for the AmpliPOWER50)
is only activated whenthe button is set to ON.
lWhenthis button is set to OFF only the volume canbe
adjusted from 0dB to 20dB (0dB à30dB for the
AmpliPOWER50).

10 –Making a call
Without headset :
- Lift thehandset.
- Await the dialtone and dialrequired number
- Oncompletionof the call,carefully replace the handset inthe
cradle.
With headset (option) :
- Press the button.
- Await the dialtone and dialrequired number.
- Oncompletionof the call, press the buttonagainto clear
the line.
In handsfree mode :
- Press the button.
- Await the dialtone and dialrequired number.
-Oncompletionofthecall,press the button torelease
the line.
- If your correspondent doesnt answer your call, pressthe
buttonagainto release the line.
Note :
lTo deactivate the handsfreefunctionduringacall,lift the
handset. Toactivate thehandsfreefunctionduringacall,
press the buttonand place thehandset onthecradle.
lDuring acall inhandsfree, youcanadjust the speakervolume
to adesirablelevel.Simplyuse theslidecontrolVOLUME
located onthe left of theunit.
11 –Last number redial
- Lift thehandset.
- Await the dialtone and press button.
-Thepreviously dialled number willbe automaticaly redialled
(not inuse for memory numbers).
12 –Recall (R), * & #buttons
Theseareused with the new servicesprovided ondigital
exchanges. For details please contact your network operator.

13 –Mutebutton
If youwishtospeakprivatelytosomeoneelse inthe room
withoutyourcalleroverhearing, press andholdthe button.
You will still be able to hearthe callersbuttheycannothearyou
duringthemute operation.To resume normal conversation,
release the button.
14 –Storing telephonenumbers
Your telephone canstore12 directmemoriesincluding3priority
numbers (21 digits maximum foreachmemory).
For example, the3priority P1, P2, P3 memories allow youto
store the 3 numbers below:
= Fire = Police = Doctor
To store a numberplease follow instructions below:
- Lift thehandset.
- Press button.
- Press M1, M2,...,or M9 or one of3priorities numbersto store
yournumber.
- Dialthenumber.
- Press buttonagain.
Numbers willbe lost after afew hoursifyou disconnectyour
phone. Enteringanew number inmemory willautomatically
erase the previous number.
15 –Dialing stored numbers
- Lift thehandset and await the dialtone.
- Press appropriate button M1, M2,..., or M9
or one of3 priority memories,the stored
number willbe dialled automatically.

use theindex located under the base.

16 –Direct vibe handset (optional)
If youhave conductive hearingloss youcan useaDirect Vibe
Handset,tryplacing theDirectVibe handset onyourtelephone,
infrontandslightlybelow yourear or behindyourear to see
which positionworks best for you.
If you require aDirect Vibe Handset ref: CLA4 youmay purchase
it from your retailer or audiologist.

To set up the Direct Vibehandset, disconnect thestandard
handset from the curlycord, thenreplace itwiththe Direct Vibe
handset.
17 –Shaker (optional)
If youwishto complimentyourphoneby usingaSHAKER ref:
CLA2 connectthe shaker pluginthesocket located over
thebackedgeofthe telephone. Whenanincomingcall is
received, the shaker willbe activated whenthephone rings.
Note : Thisoption must be set inthe ALARM AND RINGER
OPTIONS item (page 5) to be activated. To purchase aSHAKER
see item 1 above.
18 –Headset withmicrophone(optional)
If youwishto answer or make calls by usinga Geemarc headset
ref:CLA3,connect the headsetplugintheheadsetsocket
located over theback edge of the telephone.
Note: Whenusing a headset,the speakerwill beactivated and
its recommended to adjust the speaker to the low position.
