1.Genano® 350 air purification device
Congratulations for purchasing a high quality product!
Genano 350 is an air purification device based on Genano Technology®. The unique technology
removes even the smallest impurities from indoor air. These impurities can consist of viruses,
bacteria, mould spores as well as traffic originated soot. See figure 1 for laboratory test results
of performance.
Genano 350 is designed especially for the air purification needs of small rooms and office.
If you start the product for the first time in a room, it is recommended to use the highest fan
speed for a short period, then lower the speed for continuous use. Lower fan speed drops the
noise to comfortable level. The room indoor air kept clean by continuous circulation through
Genano 350 product.
Genano 350 requires yearly maintenance and service for washing and cleaning the collected
air contaminants and replacing the air collector.

2. Delivery contents
Product package contains the Genano 350 product with power cord suitable for local ac supply
socket.
3. Disposal of delivery package
Consumer package of this product is made of recyclable carton and cellulose materials.
Dismantle the package before disposal. Follow the local advisory for recycling materials.

4.1 Precautions
ǃ
The product shall be used only indoors.
ǃ
The product shall be used only with connections providing Protective Earth (PE).
ǃ
The product has serviceable parts inside. Only proficient operators shall open the
chassis mechanics for service operations.
ǃ
The product has maintainable parts inside. For maintenance operations obey
carefully the maintenance instructions given in this user manual.
ǃ
For ensuring product’s performance and safety, use only original materials and
components validated and provided by the manufacturer, Genano Oy, Finland.

5.Installation
Free standing floor installation
Position the product vertically on an even base in close vicinity of the room fresh air
ventilation. Ensure that the air inlets in the bottom sides or the clean air outlet on top of the
product are not covered by other objects. Connect the power supply cord to a wall socket with
Protective Earth (PE) connection.
Fixed standing floor installation (optional accessory)
In order to prevent product’s movement on the floor, or falling down on either side, the
chassis mechanics can be locked to a wall bracket.
Wall bracket installation (optional accessory)
Wall mounting bracket enables installation on wall. See the instructions delivered with the wall
bracket.

The product shall be used and stored indoors.
ǃ
Do not use the product in vicinity of concentrated flammable gases, liquids, or
large amounts of dust. The product’s internal operation may ignite the
concentrated gases or dust.
ǃ
Do not use the product in rooms without fresh air ventilation.

6.Operational use
5.1 Control panel
The control panel is on the left side of the product. For control operations the membrane
buttons shall be pushed. In order to prevent damage press membrane buttons with fingers.

1) Turn on the product by pressing sharply the “Power On” button.
2) Adjust the air volume by pressing repeatedly the fan speed arrows. If you start the product
for the first time in a room, it is recommended to use the highest fan speed for a short
period, then lower the speed for continuous use. Lower fan speed drops the noise to
comfortable level. The room indoor air is cleaned and kept clean by continuous circulation
through Genano 350 product.
6.2 Power off
Switch the product operation off by pressing the “Power off” button.
6.2 Panel lock
Enable panel lock
Press the “Fan speed up” button and keep it pressed for four (4) seconds (1-2-3-4).
On the fourth (4.) second press sharply the “Fan speed down” and release both buttons
simultaneously. The “Panel lock on” indication LED lights up.

Panel lock release
Repeat the above procedure as the panel lock is “on”. The “Panel lock on” indication LED
shuts down.
Total panel lock
As the panel lock is “on”, press any button more than four (4) seconds. The panel lock stays
on and does not release by panel lock release. The total panel lock can be released by
disconnecting the power cord from the 230 Vac / 50Hz wall socket and waiting for at least
two (2) minutes. As the power cord is re-connected, the Genano 350 is returned to power
off status. The product operation can be re-started by pressing the “Power on” button.
7.Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
De-energize the product by disconnecting AC power cord from 230 VAC supply.
Wipe the product clean with slightly wet cloth. Only handwashing allowed. In order to
avoid any damage on surface of the control keyboard do not use strong detergents.
7.2 Air collector replacement
The air collector absorbs gaseous particles and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). The air
collector is in the upper chamber of the product. The air collector typically wears out in
one (1) year cycle and shall be replaced with a fresh one. For replacement follow the
instructions below:
1. Important! De-energize the product by disconnecting AC power cord from 230 V
power supply.

The product has high voltage parts inside.
Do not let liquids enter product chassis!
Disconnect the power supply before any maintenance operation!
ǃ
In order to ensure continuous air cleaning process it is essential to perform
regular maintenance by replacing the collector package with a fresh one.

2. Unscrew the two allen / hex screws (3 mm) on top of the products side plates. See
figure 3.

5. Install a fresh air collector package by sliding is under the clip in front of the inner
mechanic. See figure 5:

6. Re-assemble the air collector cover and allen / hex screws.
7. The removed air collector can be disposed as household waste.
8.Service
ǃ
The product has serviceable parts inside. Only trained operators shall open the
chassis mechanics for service operations. Refer separate Service Instruction.

9.Product storage
If not used the product shall be stored indoors at dry environment. It is recommended to cover
the fresh air outlet on top side of the product. This prevents cumulating of dust that would be
spread around as the device is taken into use and started.
10. Troubleshooting
1) If the product does not start operation;
Check that product gets 230 Vac / 50 Hz supply voltage with Protective Earth (PE) connection.
2) Red alarm led is lit on;
Any failure of the product operation is indicated by the red “Alarm” led on the control panel.
The product internal voltages are not on correct level, or the fan rotation is abnormal. Request
service.
3) The product does not remove odours;
The air collector has saturated and is no longer able to absorb gaseous particles. Replace the
air collector with a fresh one. See Maintenance operations above.

11. End-of-Life instructions for disposal
Genano 350 product shall be recycled by dismantling the product and sorting the components into
following categories (refer to figure 6 below):
1) Product chassis and electronics base plate shall be recycled as aluminium (Al) parts.
2) Collector tube and the supporting band shall be recycled as ferrous steel (Fe).
3) Electronic components and cables shall be recycled as electronic waste. The base plate of
the electronics is aluminium (Al).
4) Product fan unit (highlighted in figure 6) made of reinforced polypropylene (PP) with
brominated flame retardants shall be arranged according to instructions given by the local
authorities. The fan unit can be disposed as whole.
5) Membrane control panel (highlighted in figure 6) made of flame retardant clear
polycarbonate (PC) film and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic shall be recycled
according to instructions given by the local authorities.
