1. Safety symbols
You will find the following safety symbols in this manual:
Danger of electric current!
Make sure that the power outlet for the device is earthed properly and has the right voltage
(230V - 50Hz). Never let the electrical system or individual electrical components come into
contact with water. Check the cables at regular intervals and contact our Customer Service
Department if damage is found.
Note! If this safety instruction is not observed, the user's safety is endangered and the device
may be damaged.
Do not dispose of this product as regular domestic waste at the end of its lifecycle, but hand it in
to a collection site for recycling electronic and electrical devices. Do not remove the
corresponding symbol from the product.

2. General
Dear Customer,
Congratulations on buying this high-quality product and thank you for your trust in us. We can
assure you that you have made a very good choice with this bed. Make sure that you read these
operating instructions before first using this device. Reading these operating instructions is
crucial to ensure that the device is used properly and responsibly and will help you to obtain
optimum satisfaction from using your newly acquired product. Our Gharieni MLW F1 wellness
treatment bed is very robust and is constructed for a long service life, provided that it is used
properly.
It is absolutely vital that you read these instructions carefully and only use the unit as instructed
here. This will protect both your own and your clients' safety. Note! If this safety instruction is not
observed, the user's safety is endangered and the device may be damaged.
Keep the manual near to the bed!
Keep children away from the bed.
Activate the disabling function of the bed to prevent unauthorised use of the bed and
whenever the bed is not in use (see section 8.7.).
3. Prior remarks
Intended use
The Gharieni MLW F1 is a versatile wellness treatment bed. It can be used for various
treatments in dry rooms, including cosmetics treatments or full-body massages.
The load-bearing capacity of the Gharieni MLW F1 is 160 kg. All adjustments of the treatment
bed, except the optional armrest adjustment and the headrest adjustment are motorised; the
bed has four electric motors for this purpose. The Gharieni MLW F1 is available with a hand
switch, infrared switch or foot switches. Only one of these options forms a part of the standard
scope of delivery. You can order the other switches as extra options at a surcharge. The hand
switch enables you to adjust the right height, inclination, backrest and leg rest positions. The
memory functions can be used to store and call up the positions you use the most. You can
change and save them again at any time.

4. Delivery
In the event of delivery by a forwarding company, the beds are delivered on special pallets and
in boxes. The bed is then fully horizontal and the upholstery is already in place.
Carefully open the top of the box. Do not use any sharp objects which might damage the
upholstery. Do not lift the bed, but remove the carton packaging material. The carrying aids have
already been fitted.
You can optionally use our special carrying aid for easier handling, following the instructions
below:
To get the bed off the pallet, you must first raise it approx. 8-10 cm; you will have to connect it to
a wall outlet for this. Then press the relevant function key (first row of keys on the hand switch,
located on a suspension device on the side (see ill. 1 and 2).

Remove the mains plug from the socket again.
Two people are now needed to lift the two inner metal shells on either side at the same time
until the bore holes for the four special carrying aids are visible (see ill.4 on page 5). You can
now screw them in in pairs at the front and at the rear; the bed is now ready to be transported.
Ideally, four people should put the bed in the location of your choice. If the floor is not perfectly
flat, the stability of the bed may have to be aligned with the floor surface by adjusting the
setscrew.
5. Before first use
Before first use make sure that all parts are available and that they are not visibly damaged.
Before installing the bed, make sure that there is sufficient space for the bed. The minimum
space required is 300 x 180 cm.
6. Type plate
The type plate can be found under the headrest of the bed, on the inner side of the upper bed
structure (see ill. 3). It must never be made illegible nor removed! This might invalidate the
guarantee.

7. Initial start-up
Making the Gharieni MLW F1 ready for use requires very few actions. Depending on the
application, you can set the required position electrically in no time so that you can again
concentrate on your client.
Once you have found a suitable location with sufficient space for the bed, you can unscrew the
carrying aids (see ill. 4) and store them in case you ever have to transport the bed again! The
bed has already been fully fitted out with the upholstery.

Models fitted with Thermo and/or Vibro have their cables between the upholstery and the
metal frame. The upholstery must then only be removed by authorised personnel.
8. Operation
8.1 Height
The height of the Gharieni MLW F1 can be adjusted from approx. 59 cm to approx. 92 cm.
The access height is approx. 59 cm. This height enables the client to get onto the bed from the
side.
The height adjustment is operated electrically. Press the relevant function key on the hand
switch, infrared switch or foot switches.
8.2 Headrest
This can be adjusted manually and continuously (see ill. 5, 6 and 7). The side lever on the gas
spring enables the headrest angle to be set as required (positive and negative through an
adjustment range of 30°). Release the lever to lock the headrest into position.

The headrest cushion has a nose slit for back massages. The nose slit cover can be removed
(see ill. 9). A facial gel cushion (see ill. 8), optionally available from Gharieni, can be placed on
the headrest upholstery to provide extra support for the client's face.

8.3 Armrests
The individual armrests of the Gharieni MLW F1 can be lowered and swivelled manually by
means of the gas springs, in a similar fashion to the headrest. Press the lever on the relevant
side and exert slight pressure to continuously adjust the armrests. This makes the bed
extremely suitable for back massages (see ill. 10).
The armrests can be swivelled away so that you can get closer to the client's face when
performing cosmetic treatments or facial massages.
Note! Do not place a load on an armrest that has been swivelled sideways.

The position of the back section may only be changed if there are the armrests in basic position

Otherwise the armrests can be clamp and be damaged (see III.10b and III.10c):

The armrests are available as electrically adjustable armrests at a surcharge. A switch to adjust
the armrests is located on the side of the armrests. Press and hold the relevant arrow key to
lower or raise the armrest. The movement stops immediately when you release the key.
Armrests that can be lowered electrically cannot be swivelled.
8.4 Backrest
This can also be adjusted electrically. The backrest inclination can be adjusted by means of the
relevant keys on the hand, infrared or foot switches.
8.5 Inclination
The seat inclination can also be adjusted electrically. It encompasses the complete thigh area to
the knee joint and it can be adjusted by means of the relevant keys on the hand, infrared or foot
switches.

8.6 Leg rest
The bed's leg rest can be adjusted independently of the backrest and the inclination by using the
hand, infrared or foot switches; this adjustment encompasses the entire calf section from the
knee downwards. The MLW F1 offers many possible adjustments, making it suitable for many
different uses.
Do not sit on the headrest or the armrests, or subject these parts to great force, no
matter what position the bed is in. Any failure to observe these rules may result in
permanent damage to the support structure of the bed and may cause injury due to the
bed tipping over or breaking.
8.7 Hand switch
The hand switch (see ill.11) can be used to control the
electrically operated functions. The four motors can be
adjusted individually to the first level by pressing a key. In
addition, you can save and call up a maximum of four memory
positions on the second level. There are 12 keys on the hand
switch. The upper eight have two levels. Level 1 (black
marking) is used to adjust the motors. Level 2 (grey marking)
is for programming/calling up the memory positions. The
lower keys are the Disable key, Shift key, Start key and
Memory key. You can use the Shift key to change from level 1
to level 2 and back. At level 2, the LED above the Shift key
will light up; at level 1 the LED is off. The Start key returns the
MLW F1 only in level 2 to its home position. This cannot be
changed. You can use the Memory key to program any
positions of your choice on the target keys M1-M8. The
Disable key disables or enables the hand switch.
For reasons of safety, the treatment bed will only move while
you are pressing a key on the hand switch. The movement
stops immediately when you release the key.

Memory function:
You can use the memory function to save a maximum of 8 frequently used positions by means
of the M1 to M8 keys on the hand switch (level 2).
Storing memory positions:
Set the position of your choice (on level 1).
Press the Shift key (to change levels and go to level 2); the LED above the Shift key will light up.
Now press the Memory key and finally the relevant target key (M1 to M8). You will
hear a beep if the position has been successfully saved to the memory.
Calling up memory positions:
To call up a pre-set bed position of your choice, press the Shift key (to change levels and go to
level 2); the LED above the Shift key will light up. Now press the relevant Memory key (M1 to
M8) until the position that was stored has been reached.
Disable function:
The bed has a disabling function to prevent unauthorised use.

Disabling the bed:
To disable the bed, press and hold the Lock key for three seconds until you hear two beeps. The
bed operation has now been disabled.
Enabling the bed:
To enable the bed, press the Shift key and then immediately press the Lock key while still
holding the Shift key. Hold this key combination for approx. three seconds until you hear two
beeps.
In general:
For reasons of safety, the treatment bed will only move while you are pressing a key on
the hand switch. The movement stops immediately when you release the key.
If you have chosen the VIBRO option, an additional hand switch is enclosed with the bed (see
the sections 9.2 and/or 9.3).
8.8 Remote control
The infrared remote control (see ill.12) is used for
wireless operation of electrically controlled functions.
The four motors can be adjusted individually by pressing
a key. In addition, you can save and call up a maximum
of eight memory positions.
For reasons of safety, the treatment bed will only move
while you are pressing a key on the remote control. The
movement stops immediately when you release the key.
For the remote control to work properly, it requires a
clear connection with the infrared receiver and should
be pointed at the centre of the bed.
Operation:
The individual functions (height, backrest, inclination
and leg rest) are operated electrically. Press the
corresponding function key on the remote control to
enable a function.
Memory function:
You can use the memory function to save a maximum of
8 frequently used positions by means of the M1 to M8
keys on the remote control.

Storing memory positions:
Adjust the required position. Then press the Shift key, and then the Memory key and finally the
relevant target key (M1 to M8). You will hear a beep if the position has been successfully saved
to the memory.
Calling up memory positions:
Press the Shift key to call up the relevant bed position. Then press and hold the corresponding
Memory key (M1 to M8) until the relevant memory position is reached.
Disable function:
The bed has a disabling function to prevent unauthorised use.

Disabling the bed:
To disable the bed, press and hold the Lock key for three seconds until you hear two beeps. The
bed operation has now been disabled.
Enabling the bed:
To enable the bed, press and hold the Shift key, and then immediately press and hold the Lock
key. Hold both keys for three seconds until you hear two beeps. You can now use all the bed
functions again as usual.
8.9 Foot switches
The foot switch (see ill. 13) can be connected as an option, in addition to the hand switch and/or
the infrared switch. The foot switch consist of right and left foot switch that are interconnected by
an electronic unit (see ill.14) on which the LEDs are located.

Selecting functions:
The R2 key on the right-hand foot switch is used to select the drives (motors) or the stepwise
memory function. The relevant LEDs on the central electronic unit will light up. The R1 key
serves as a Memory key if the Memory function has been selected.
Adjusting the height:
You can extend or retract the relevant drives using the L1 and L2 keys on the left-hand foot
switch. Observe the arrow symbols on the foot switch for the directions of movement.
Storing memory positions:
Adjust the required position.
Now press the R2 key on the right-hand foot switch until the lower LED on the central electronic
unit (see ill.14) lights up. Then press the R1 key on the right-hand foot switch. Finally, select the
relevant memory key L1 (Memory 1) or L2 (Memory 2) on the left-hand foot switch and press
this key until you hear a beep.
Calling up memory positions:
Two memory positions can be called up using the left-hand foot switch by pressing the R2 key
on the right-hand foot switch until the lower LED on the central electronic unit (see ill.14) lights
up. Then press and hold the L1 or L2 key on the left-hand foot switch until the relevant memory
position is reached.

8.10 Smart Thermo heating
To increase the user's comfort, the surface of the treatment bed can be heated. The heating
control panel (see ill. 15 on page 11) enables the heating power to be set at 10 levels. To
quickly warm up the cold surface, the heating power is at maximum capacity for the duration of
the pre-heating time after starting. The heating parameters can be programmed and stored in
the memory according to your own preferences. Check the actual temperature before using the
bed and disconnect the power supply to the bed if you will not be using it for some time (e.g.
during the night).
8.10.1 Description of the control panel
The bed heating is controlled using the four "on", "off" and "+", "-" keys (see ill.15 on page 11).
The heating capacity setting is shown by the 10-part LED bar: Low capacity/low temperature:
green LEDs 1-4, medium capacity: yellow LEDs 5-7 and high capacity: red LEDs 8-10.
Do not use the Smart Thermo option in the following situations: on clients who have a
pacemaker, who are pregnant, who suffer from thrombosis or from pains whose cause
has not been identified. Only use the option on healthy people.
Never exceed the factory settings (pre-heating time: approx. 6 minutes, treatment power
level approx. 30%, 3 LEDs) when creating your own settings!
If the treatment is ended prematurely, the "Off" key on the control panel must be pressed
to switch off the Smart Thermo function and avoid heat accumulating.
We recommend removing the mains plug during long intervals between uses (e.g. during
the night).
Caution - risk of fire:
The bed must not be covered by objects such as blankets, towels, clothes etc. while the
heating is on, otherwise heat may accumulate and damage the bed.
8.10.2 Heating instructions
Press the "on" key (see ill.15 on page 11) to switch on the heating.
The programmed setting (see Programming) starts. The first step is heating automatically at the
highest power for the duration of the pre-heating time (factory setting = 6 min.).
When the pre-heating time has ended, the control system switches down to the treatment
setting (power = 30%) until the end of the operating time (factory setting = 60 min.). You can
press the "+" and "-" keys to end the pre-heating time and set the temperature in 10 levels.
Press the "Off" key to switch off the heating.
8.10.3 Initial settings
The bed is delivered with the following initial settings:
Total heating duration: 60 minutes (LED number 6)
Pre-heating time: 6 minutes (LEDs 1+2)
Continuous power: 30% (LEDs 1+2+3)
8.10.4 Programming
The values for the total operating time, the pre-heating time and the heating power can be
programmed.
You can access the programming mode by means of the following combination of keys:
Press and hold the "Off" key
Press and release the "On" key
When you then release the "Off" key you access the programming step:

Setting the total heating duration
The maximum heating duration can be set in 10 levels of 10 to 100 minutes. The location of the
one LED that is lit - from left to right - indicates the level. The initial setting is 60 minutes.
For example: level 6 equals a total heating time of 60 minutes (see ill. 15):
Level 6 = 60 minutes

Press the "On" key to save this value and you will be taken to the programming step: Setting the
pre-heating time.
You can recognise this programming step by the moving LED bar. Every LED that lights up
extends the pre-heating time by 3 minutes. The basic setting is 6 minutes. For reasons of safety,
this setting must not be changed. (The maximum pre-heating time that can be set is 30
minutes.)
If the heating is still hot when it is switched on again, the pre-heating time will be shortened
correspondingly.
Press the "On" key to save this value and you will be taken to the programming step:
Setting the treatment power
The currently saved value is indicated by a LED bar. The number of LEDs that light up shows
the heating power setting in steps of 10%. The initial setting is 30%. Use the "+" and "-" keys to
set the required value and press the "on" key to save this value.
Programming has been completed.
You can now press the "off" key to end programming.

8.11 Initialising the software
If you notice that the required bed position is no longer reached when you call up a memory
position you have stored, the software needs to be re-initialised (synchronising the software with
hardware). Proceed as follows to remedy this:
Initialising:
1. Fully extend the backrest motor, i.e. the backrest must be at an angle of approx. 75° relative
to the seat.
2. Fully retract all other drives, i.e. the height adjustment motor (height) must be put in its lower
position. The inclination motor (thigh area) must be horizontal to the leg rest (calf section). Note!
Press and hold the right-hand key of the third row of keys on the hand switch until the motor
switches off. The leg rest motor must also be put in its end position, i.e. press and hold the right-
hand key of the fourth row of keys on the hand switch until this motor also audibly switches off!
Note! This initialisation must be done manually, i.e. every drive must be moved to its end
position individually. Do not use any of the memory keys for this step!
Initialisation is complete when the positions described above have been reached.
8.12 Reset
The software is reset to its initial status by simultaneously pressing the upper row of keys on the
hand switch (ill. 11 on page 7) or the L1 and R2 keys on the foot switch (ill. 13 on page 9) for
approx. 5 sec., after which you will hear several beeps.
9. Options
9.1 Extending runners
The Gharieni MLW F1 has a special construction enabling runners to be extended in order to
move the bed. Proceed as follows:
First extend the inclination motor and then raise the leg rest. Now you can reach the lifting
device (see ill.16, 17 and 18) by pulling the lever in the substructure towards you or positioning it
all the way to the other side.

Note! Do not move the bed yet!
First unplug the mains lead, wind it up properly and stow it away so that the bed does not run
over it while being moved. Do not retract the runners until the bed is in its required position and
you have ensured that the lead cannot be damaged.
If the bed has extending runners, you must check that it is on its stationary adjustable
feet. If the bed is only standing on the moving runners there is a risk of it rolling away,
e.g. when somebody leans against it.
Never extend the runners when anyone is on the bed and never transport the bed when it
is carrying a person or a heavy load, otherwise you will damage the substructure.

The six integrated motors (see ill. 19) act on the shoulders, back, buttocks and thigh area.
The motors for the individual parts of the body can be controlled in pairs, as described below, by
operating the hand switch (see ill. 20).

Status LED:
The status LED shows the different operating statuses.
lit up in green: massage timer active for 15 minutes
lit up in red: massage timer active for 30 minutes

(T) Massage on / off timer:
Press the (T) key to start the massage. This starts with the individual setting which was carried
out last. The massage timer is set at 15 minutes (status LED lights up in green).
Please note:
The M1-M5 keys are used for individual settings. If the massage motors have been switched off,
the massage starts with a standard setting.
If you press the (T) key a second time, the timer will switch from 15 to 30 minutes (the status
LED lights up in red)
The massage is ended by pressing this key for a third time.
Individual settings
(M1) Setting the intensity for massage range M1:
You can set the intensity from low to high in five stages by repeatedly pressing the (M1) key.
The massage motor is switched off when you press the M1 key for the fifth time. The next time
this key is pressed, the massage motor will start again and the lowest intensity will be switched
on. The massage motor is switched off by pressing and holding the M1 key for approx. 2
seconds. The operating status of the massage motor is indicated by LED 1.

(M2) Setting the intensity for massage range M2:
Massage range 2 is set in the same way as massage range 1. The operating status of the
massage motor is indicated by LED 2.
(M3) Setting the intensity for massage range M3:
Massage range 3 is set in the same way as massage range 1. The operating status of the
massage motor is indicated by LED 3.
Massage programs
(M) Wave massage:
You can select one of five wave massage programs by repeatedly pressing this key.
Application:
Press the (T) key to start the massage. The massage starts with the last individual setting made.
-Press the (M) key. Wave massage program 1 is active-
-Press the (M) key for a second time. Wave massage program 2 is active.
-…
-Press the (M) key for a sixth time. The individual settings are active again.
(P) Pulse massage:
You can select one of two pulse massage programs by pressing this key.
Application:
Press the (T) key to start the massage. The massage starts with the last individual setting made.
-Press the (P) key. Pulse massage program 1 is active.
-Press the (P) key for a second time. Pulse massage program 2 is active.
-Press the (P) key for a third time. The individual settings are active again.
(M+-) The intensity of the massage programs:
You can set the intensity of the wave/pulse massage programs from low to high in five stages by
repeatedly pressing this key.
(AUTO1-AUTO6) Automatic programs:
The automatic programs last approx. 15 minutes. The massage programs vary automatically
within this period. Just sit back and enjoy the varied massage.

Do not use the VIBRO option in the following situations:
on clients who have a pacemaker, who are pregnant, who suffer from thrombosis or from
pains whose cause has not been identified. Only use the option on healthy people.
We would like to point out that the higher the motor of the VIBRO option is set, the
louder it becomes. This is not a reason for concern or complaints.

9.3 Vibro Wellness 10
The 10 integrated motors are located in different zones (see ill.21). The motors for the individual
parts of the body can be controlled in pairs, as described below, by operating the hand switch
(see ill. 22).

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Never open the housing of the hand switch! Unauthorised opening of the housing will
invalidate your guarantee rights.
Do not let any liquids enter the interior of the hand switch.
Do not allow people with pacemakers to use the massage unit since it cannot be fully
ruled out that this may influence their pacemakers.
Operating the Vibro Wellness hand switch:
1 Start massage
The massage can be started using the following keys:
1.1 On / Off key (1)
When using the massage unit for the first time, select the "Individual" setting. All massage
motors will then run at their factory settings (intensity level 2; medium intensity). If the
massage unit has been used before, the setting (individual, pulse or wave massage) that
was last used will be started again.
1.2 Individual key (2)
When the massage unit is used for the first time, the factory setting (intensity level 2;
medium intensity) is selected. If an individual setting (see point 3, individual setting) has
already been made, the massage will be restarted with that setting.
1.3 Pulse massage key (3)
The massage is started with the first one of three pulse massage programs.
1.4 Wave massage key (4)
The massage is started with the first one of three wave massage programs.
1.5 lntensity keys (5) to (9)
Pressing one of these keys starts the relevant massage motor on intensity level 1. Please
note: this procedure overwrites any previously made individual settings! (See point 3,
individual setting)

2 End of massage
The massage is ended automatically by a timer after 15 minutes. To end the massage
before the program has finished, press the on/off key (1).
3 Individual setting
Start the massage by pressing the Individual key (2).
When the massage unit is used for the first time, the factory setting (intensity level 2;
medium intensity) is selected. You can now change the intensity of the individual massage
motors through three levels using the keys (5) - (9). The LED display indicates the intensity
levels as follows:

Press one of the keys (5) - (9) once more after reaching the lowest intensity (level 1) to
switch off the corresponding massage motor. The massage is ended by your switching off
all massage motors. Pressing the Individual key (2) lets you switch between the factory
setting (intensity level 2, medium intensity) and your individual settings. The individual
settings are retained when the massage ends.
4 Pulse massage
Press the Pulse key (3) to start the massage with the first of three pulse massage
programs. Press the Pulse key (3) again to start the second pulse massage program.
Press the Pulse key (3) a fourth time to start the first pulse massage program again. You
can change the pulse massage program speed through three levels using the keys (10).
You can change the massage intensity through three levels using the keys (5) to (9).
Please note: the next time you use pulse massage it will be started with the factory
settings again!
5 Wave massage
Press the Wave key (4) to start the massage with the first of three wave massage
programs. Press the Wave key (4) again to start the second wave massage program.
Press the Wave key (4) again to start the third wave massage program. Press the Wave
key (4) a fourth time to start the first wave massage program again. You can change the
wave massage program speed through three levels using the keys (10). You can change
the massage intensity through three levels using the keys (5) to (9).
Please note:
The next time you use wave massage it will be started with the factory settings again!
Do not use the VIBRO option in the following situations:
on clients who have a pacemaker, who are pregnant, who suffer from thrombosis or from
pains whose cause has not been identified. Only use the option on healthy people.
We would like to point out that the higher the motor of the VIBRO option is set, the
louder it becomes. This is not a reason for concern or complaints.

9.4 Heated electric triple airback
9.4.1 Smart Thermo heating
To increase the user's comfort, the surface of the treatment bed can be heated. The heating
control panel (see ill. 23) enables the heating power to be set at 10 levels. To quickly warm up
the cold surface, the heating power is at maximum capacity for the duration of the pre-heating
time after starting. The heating parameters can be programmed and stored in the memory
according to your own preferences. Check the actual temperature before using the bed and
disconnect the power supply to the bed if you will not be using it for some time (e.g. during the
night).
9.4.2 Description of the control panel

The bed heating is controlled using the four "on", "off" and "+", "-" keys. The heating power
setting is shown by the 10-level LED bar. Low capacity/low temperature: green LEDs 1-4,
medium capacity: yellow LEDs 5-7 and high capacity: red LEDs 8-10.
Do not use the Smart Thermo option in the following situations: on clients who have a
pacemaker, who are pregnant, who suffer from thrombosis or from pains whose cause
has not been identified. Only use the option on healthy people.
Never exceed the factory settings (pre-heating time: approx. 6 minutes, treatment power
level approx. 30%, 3 LEDs) when creating your own settings!
If the treatment is ended prematurely, the "Off" key on the control panel must be pressed
to switch off the Smart Thermo function and avoid heat accumulating.
We recommend removing the mains plug during long intervals between uses (e.g during
the night).
Caution - risk of fire:
The bed must not be covered by objects such as blankets, towels, clothes etc. while the
heating is on, otherwise heat may accumulate and damage the bed.
9.4.3 Heating instructions
Press the "on" key (see ill. 23) to switch on the heating.
The programmed setting (see Programming) starts. The first step is heating automatically at the
highest power for the duration of the pre-heating time (factory setting = 6 min.).
When the pre-heating time has ended, the control system switches down to the treatment
setting (power = 30%) until the end of the operating time (factory setting = 60 min.). You can
press the "+" and "-" keys to end the pre-heating time and set the temperature in 10 levels.
Press the "off" key to switch off the heating.

9.4.4 Initial settings
The bed is delivered with the following initial settings:
Total heating duration: 60 minutes (LED number 6)
Pre-heating time: 6 minutes (LEDs 1+2)
Continuous power: 30% (LEDs 1+2+3)
9.4.5 Programming
The values for the total operating time, the pre-heating time and the heating power can be
programmed.
You can access the programming mode by means of the following combination of keys:
Press and hold the "off" key
Press and release the "on" key
When you then release the "off" key you access the programming step:
Setting the total heating duration
The maximum heating duration can be set in 10 levels of 10 to 100 minutes. The location of the
one LED that is lit - from left to right - indicates the level. The initial setting is 60 minutes.
For example: level 6 equals a total heating time of 60 minutes (see ill. 24):

Press the "on" key to save this value and you will be taken to the programming step: Setting the
pre-heating time.
You can recognise this programming step by the moving LED bar. Every LED that lights up
extends the pre-heating time by 3 minutes. The basic setting is 6 minutes. For reasons of safety,
this setting must not be changed. (The maximum pre-heating time that can be set is 30
minutes.)
If the heating is still hot when it is switched on again, the pre-heating time will be shortened
correspondingly.
Press the "on" key to save this value and you will be taken to the programming step:
Setting the treatment power
The currently saved value is indicated by a LED bar. The number of LEDs that light up shows
the heating power setting in steps of 10%. The initial setting is 30%. Use the "+" and "-" keys to
set the required value and press the "on" key to save this value.
Programming has been completed.
You can now press the "off" key to end programming.

9.4.6 Electric Airback
The Airback system enables the cushions to be adjusted ergonomically to the individual user's
body.
There are three air cushions (Airbacks) under the mattress. Airback 1 and Airback 2 are located
in the lumbar area. Airback 3 is located in the thigh area. An electric pump enables the Airbacks
to be inflated.
If you press the first key (see ill. 23 on page 17) Airback number 1 in the backrest is inflated.
The pump is active. The Airback is deflated by moving the same key in the opposite direction.
Airbacks 2 and 3 are operated according to the same principle.
9.4.7 Audio Relax
This option helps clients to fully relax and can be used to add a personal touch to treatments.
Two speakers, integrated into the sides of the headrest, guarantee a pleasant sound experience
without interrupting the person giving the treatment. The accompanying MP3 player is delivered
with 50 minutes of pre-recorded, royalty-free, relaxing music, but you can also record your own
favourite music onto it.
10. Cleaning and care
Clean the housing and the fittings with a damp cloth or sponge and some soap.
Covering the upholstery:
The standard upholstery of the Gharieni MLW F1 is PU (polyurethane). To avoid damaging this
material, special protective covers should be used. We recommend our five-part terry-cloth
cover for ordinary cosmetic treatments. Massage treatments where you use relatively little oil
require the PU MLW protective cover. This protects the upholstery against oil stains and
prevents oil from penetrating the upholstery. When giving ayurvedic treatments, where oil is
poured over the head, you will need the special ayurveda cover with its integrated rim. The bed
construction and the electrical systems will only be protected properly when this cover is used.
First remove the mains plug before cleaning the upholstery. The standard upholstery of
the MLW is PU (polyurethane). This material can be cleaned using a cloth and some
alcohol. Since we also use other types of upholstery on the request of customers we
advise you to check this with our customer service!
11. Maintenance
We only accept responsibility for the safety and reliability of this device if repairs and changes
have been made by us or by a person authorised by us. Furthermore, the electrical system in
the room must comply with the provisions of VDE 0100 or 0107 and the device must only be
used in accordance with these operating instructions. All guarantees on the part of the
manufacturer are excluded in the event of improper changes to or manipulations of the device.
Never immerse the bed or any parts of it in water.
The mains lead to the mains socket must be checked for damage at regular intervals and
must be changed by our Customer Service Department (or an electrician) if damage is
found.

12. Guarantee
Gharieni Group GmbH supplies all beds subject to a 3-year guarantee. Wearing parts (such as
incandescent lamps, UV lamps, consumables etc.) are not covered by this guarantee. Damage
or loss due to unprofessional or improper use, non-compliance with the provisions of the
instructions for use and/or gross negligence is not covered by guarantee either. In addition, the
guarantee is invalidated if any stickers (such as the type plate, instruction notices etc.) are
removed or if appliances or parts of appliances are opened without permission for this being
explicitly granted in the operating instructions (e.g. for cleaning).
13. Disposal
Do not dispose of this product as regular domestic waste at the end of its lifecycle, but hand it in
to a collection site for recycling electronic and electrical devices. Do not remove the
corresponding symbol from the product.
The beds consist of metal and plastic parts, electronic components and electric cables
and other materials. The individual materials must be disposed of in accordance with the
environmental and waste disposal regulations of the country of use. If you have any
