included in those pages serve for the protection of the operator. If you ignore the
safety instructions, you will endanger your health and life.

Store this manual in a safe place so you can use it whenever it is needed. Strictly
observe the instructions to avoid damage to persons and property.
DANGER
1. All electrical work to connect the SL to the mains must be carried out
by a qualified professional. Do not modify the energy supply. The
connection must be carried out in accordance with the current local
and legal regulations.
2. Do not connect the SL to the mains if the SL itself or the power cable
or the plug are visibly damaged.
3. Never try to repair the SL yourself. If the SL does not operate
properly, please contact the manufacturer or the shop you purchased
the appliance at. Original spare parts should be used only.
4. When the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or an authorized aftersales service or a qualified
professional only.
WARNING!
1. Use a properly-grounded safety socket with proper voltage only. The
electrical components must never come into contact with water.
Check all cables regularly and call the aftersales service when any
cable is in improper condition. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
2. Do not use water or any other liquid for treatments. Do not pour water
or any other liquid into the SL! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
3. For long periods of use, always keep some free space between the
back and seat upholstery. RISK OF BURNS DUE TO HEAT

4. Persons suffering from acute pain, venous disorders, low blood
pressure, inflammatory processes and other pathologies which make
heat-treatments or the positioning of the patient inappropriate must
consult the doctor before treatment.

5. Persons who are treated on the SL must not be under the influence
of intoxicating substances (e.g. alcohol, drugs or medicine)
6. Always keep children away from the SL. Children must not play with
the PS or its single components.
7. This device is not intended to be operated by persons with reduced
physical, sensory and mental capabilities or lack of experience or
knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed concerning the
use of the device and do understand the danger resulting thereof.
2. General information
Dear Customer,
we would like to thank you for purchasing this quality-product as well as for your
confidence. Read the complete IM before you use the SL for the first time.
Reading the complete IM is essential for its proper and confident use and will help
you to operate the appliance to your entire satisfaction .Our SL is very robust and
has a long operating life if it is operated properly.
Read the instructions very carefully and operate the appliance in its intended use as
described only to protect you and your customers from danger.. Keep the IM
handy and near of the SL.
WARNING! Failure to follow these instructions endangers the
operator`s health and life and/or can damage the appliance.

Ensure that there is sufficient free space for the SL relevant to its total
length and rotation.

3. Prefaces
1. The SL is subject to the highest safety and quality standards.
2. Before initial operation, please check that all components are present and that
they are not visible damaged.
3. The dedicated safety socket must be grounded properly and must meet the
proper voltage.
4. Intended use
Read the instructions very carefully and only operate the device in its intended use
as described to protect you and your customers from danger. The SL is intended
for indoor use only.
The SL is suitable for facial treatments, hair removal, pedicure and body
treatments.
5. Delivery
WARNING! While unpacking, the packaging materials (polythene
bags, polystyrene pieces, etc.) should be kept away from children.

Before installation, ensure that there is sufficient free space for the SL relevant to
its total length and rotation. n some countries, the SL is delivered in a cardboard.
The legrest is folded by 900(see picture below).

6. Unpacking
Please observe the following when the SL is delivered in a cardboard:
Open the top of the packaging carefully. Do not use any sharp-edged items
which can damage the upholstery.
Do not lift the SL but remove the top packaging first. Then you can lift and
remove the outer packaging
The headrest is in the same cardboard. The headrest has to be installed (see
chapter 9).
Carry the SL using its feet only.. Remove the transport protection (2 safety
straps) before initial operation.
NOTICE! If the floor is not level, you must ensure proper stability using
the adjusting screw.
7. Before initial operation
Before initial operation, please check that all components are present and that they
are not visibly damaged.
Before installation, ensure sufficient free space: Min. free space required is: Length
= 204 cm * Width = 80 cm.
8. Rating plate
WARNING! The rating plate is on the casing of the foot. Do not make
the rating plate illegible! Do not remove the rating plate! Failure to do so
will expire the guarantee.
9. Installation
The SL is easy to install and can be adapted to all human body measurements.
Depending on model, you can adjust the desired positions electrically or
pneumatically in a very short period of time and then focus entirely on your
customer.

9.1 Headrest
You find the headrest in the cardboard of the SL. Insert the chrome pins of the
headrest into the supports on the top of the backrest until they lock. You can
adjust the height of the headrest using the dedicated locking levels relevant to the
height of the customer. You can remove the headrest completely by extracting it
upwards.
To provide an opening for the nose (in massage position), extract the headrest by
approx. 10 cm.
A piece of adhesive strap is on the back of the upholstery of the headrest to attach
the optional available neck and headrest "Dentalax" which will increase the comfort
of lying significantly.
9.2 Legrest
You can extract the lower part of the legrest to increase its length.
Furthermore, you can remove the lower part, so you can work on the heel area
(pedicure). This setting is also suitable when you want to carry out massages
without using additional tools (lowered foot position).
PODO-models: These models have two separate legrests.

10. Adjustment of the SL
The adjustment modes are depending on the model you have opted for.
Please refer to chapter 2.1.
10.1 Manual control panel
The MCP1is a wired control operating with low voltage (24 V). The electrically
controllable functions are controlled via the MCP. Depending on model, the
functions are controlled via the corresponding pair of push buttons. How to save
specific lying positions is described in section memory functions.

SL Hydraulic-models are not equipped with an MCP.
WARNING! Ensure that no parts of the body or items are between the
parts of the SL while adjusting the lying position. RISK OF CRUSHING!
NOTICE! For safety reasons, the SL moves only while pressing a key of
the MCP. When you stop pressing, all moving-operation will stop
immediately.

10.2 Vibro - Manual control panel
If you have opted for the VIBRO-equipment, an additional manual control panel is
included in delivery. Look at chapter 12.7 for further information.
10.3 Backrest
Electric adjustment: The inclination can be adjusted via the MCP. The motors
for the height and backrest adjustment are equipped with the SPLINE-function.
This function causes the motors to run the lifting movement only, the lowering
movement is performed by dead weight.
Pneumatic adjustment: The adjustment is performed pneumatically via a gas
pressure spring The lever is installed on the right side of the seat.
WARNING! The SPLINE-function does not protect from injuries. So it
is essential that no parts of the body or items are between the parts of
the SL while adjusting the lying position. RISK OF CRUSHING!
WARNING! While adjusting, always check that fingers cannot be
caught between the backrest and the seat. These two locations are
marked by a yellow warning triangle.
10.4 Legrest
Electric adjustment: The legrest can be adjusted individually. You have reached
the highest position, when the legrest is level with the seat. The adjustment is
performed electrically (via MCP) An additional foot control panel is optional
available.
Pneumatic adjustment: The adjustment is performed pneumatically via a gas
pressure spring. The lever is installed on the right and left side of the relevant
legrest.

10.6 Inclination
The inclination of the seat is fully adjustable.
Electric adjustment: Press the relevant push button of the MCP:
Pneumatic adjustment: The adjustment is performed pneumatically via a gas
pressure spring.
10.7 Armrests
The armrests are always in parallel to the seat. You can fold back the armrests for
easy access to the seat.
10.8 Work height
The work height is fully adjustable from 59 cm to 90 cm (Hydraulic: 63-83 cm).
Installing of the Rotunda-function or rollers will increase the work height a bit.
The entry height is the lowest position of the seat (59 cm/seat in horizontal
position).
Usually, the SL is entered from the side. Fold back the armrests for easy access.
As the legrest can be adjusted by 900, it is also possible to enter the SLP from
the front. This mode is advantageous, when access from the side is not ensured.

10.9 Memory-functions
The availability of the memory functions is depending on the model you
have opted for. Please refer to chapter 2.1.
The memory function saves your desired treatment positions. Depending on
model, press the push buttons M1, M2 or M3.
How to save a position:
1. When the desired position has been reached, press button "S" for approx. one
second to save the position.
2. You can select the memory button now:
3. Press M1, M2 etc. An acoustic signal indicates successful saving.
Activation of a memory position:
Press the relevant push button M1, M2 etc. Keep pressing until the position has
been reached.
11. Initialisation of the software
If a previously-saved position is no longer properly set, you may have to reinstall
the software. This may occur after some 100 times of use. To correct the
differences of position, you have to carry out the following steps:
The backrest motor must be set to max position.
The other motors must be set to min. position.
The adjustment (initialisation) must be carried out manually, i.e. each motor has
to be run individually.
When the final positions are set, please keep pressing the push buttons for
additional 2 to 3 seconds.

12. Options
The availability of the options is depending on the model.
12.1 Foot control panel
You can connect an additional FCP. One motor can be adjusted using the buttons
of the FCP. The motor you can adjust is depending on model.
For all models: When you operate two buttons simultaneously, you activate
previously-set memory positions.

12.2 Upholstery
The standard upholstery is anatomically shaped and equipped with an
AIRBACK© for lumbar support. The surface is made of artificial leather, available
in many colours of our two colour collections. You can also combine several
colours and - as an option - select the colour of the thread. Moreover, the armrests
of the standard upholstery are equipped with mounting holes for the installation of
manicure bowls.
12.3. Airback
Airback, manual
This option is standard for all SL-upholsteries.
The backrest (lumbar section) is equipped with an air cushion. You can inflate the
air cushion using the grey hand pump. The airback is useful when your customer is
placed on the SL in supine position. The airback supports the human anatomy (S-
shaped spine) and increases the lying comfort, especially when treating persons
with a hollow back (in this case, please pump some more air into the airback).
When the customer is placed in prone position, do not use the airback. You can
deflate the airback using the black button of the grey hand pump.
Airback, electric
As an option, the airback can be operated electrically. The control buttons are
installed on the casing of the seat. Use the left button to inflate the air cushion. Use
the right button to deflate the air cushion. The air cells are electrically-protected
from overfilling.

12.4 Heater Smart-Thermo
WARNING
1. Do not use the option Smart-Thermo when your customer
has got a pacemaker.

2. Do not cover the SL with blankets, towels, clothes etc. while the
heater is running; otherwise heat accumulation can occur. RISK OF
FIRE!
3. Do not exceed the default values set by the manufacturer (pre-
heating period approx. 6 minutes; treatment heating-level approx
30%, 3 LEDs) when programming the heater yourself.
4. When the treatment is stopped prematurely, cancel the Smart-
Thermo function by pressing the OFF-button on the HCP to avoid
heat accumulation.
5. Disconnect the SL from the mains when it is not used for a longer
period of time.
Heater
The lying surface can be heated to maximize the treatment comfort. You can set 10
heating levels using the HCP. For quick heating of a cold lying surface, after
starting the heater will operate with max. power during the pre-heating period. The
parameters of the heater can be programmed and saved if desired. Check the
current temperature before using the SL. Disconnect the SL from the mains when
it is not used for a longer period of time, e.g. during the night.

Operation
You can operate the heater using the 4 buttons ON/OFF/+/-.The setting of the
heating power is indicated by a 10-level LED bar-diagram.
The green LEDs 1-4 indicate low power/low temperatures.
The yellow LEDs 5-7 indicate medium power/medium temperatures.
The red LEDs 8-10 indicate high power/high temperatures.
Heating
Switch on the heater using the ON-button on the HCP. The preheating period (6
minutes-default setting) starts on highest setting. All LEDs are on. When the pre-
heating time has elapsed, the normal treatment setting will start (60 minutes-default
setting). You can stop the pre-heating period using the + and - buttons and set the
temperature to one of the 10 levels. Switch off the heater using the OFF-button on
the HCP.

Programming
The values of uninterrupted operation, the pre-heating period and the heating
power are programmable.
Use the following combination to enter the programming mode:
1. Press and hold the OFF-button.
2. Press and release the ON-button.
3. Release the OFF-button and enter the

You can set 10 levels from 10 to 100 minutes. The position of the single and
illuminated LED - from the left to the right - indicates the level. The
manufacturer´s setting is 60 minutes.

Example for level 6 = 60 minutes total operation
Press the ON-button to save your setting.
Setting of the pre-heating period
Each illuminated LED indicates a pre-heating period of 3 minutes. The
manufacturer´s setting is 6 minutes. The max. pre-heating period available is 30
minutes. Do not exceed the default values set by the manufacturer.
While the heater is still warm, the pre-heating period may be shorter when the
heater is switched on again.
Press the ON-button to save your setting, then you enter the
Setting of the power during treatment
The currently-saved value is indicated by one LED bar. The number of illuminated
LEDs indicates the set heating power in 10% steps. Manufacturer`s setting is 30%.
Set the desired value by pressing the +and -buttons. Save your setting by pressing
the ON-button.
The programming of the heater is complete

You can finish the programming of the heater by pressing the OFF-
button at any point of time.
12.5 Audio-Relax
This option supports optimal relaxing of your customers and adds an individual
touch to your massages. Two speakers laterally-installed in the headrest support the
massage by a unique experience of sound without harassing your customer. The

MP3-player is equipped with 50 minutes of GEMA-fee free relaxing-music.
Moreover you can load other music on the MP3-player if desired. The volume is
not intended for filling rooms with sound.
12.6 Rotunda
This option enables the seat to be rotated by up to 2000(Podo models) or up to
3300(Cosmetic models). You can freeze the set position for treatment using the
hand lever which is located below the seat. Loosen the hand lever by one rotation
of the hand in clockwise direction, rotate the seat to the desired position and
tighten the lever by turning it in anti-clockwise direction.
WARNING! Hold the top of the seat only while rotating. Do not grasp
below the metal rotating-disk. RISK OF CRUSHING!
NOTICE! You cannot use the Rotunda-function when the legrest is
folded by 900. If the legrest contacts the base while rotating, please fold
up the legrest slightly.

12.7 Vibro Wellness 10
WARNING
1. Do not use the option Vibro Wellness 10 when your customer
has got a pacemaker.

The Vibro Wellness 10 has 10 motors in different sections (fig. 1).
Use the Vibro manual control panel (fig. 2) to activate the individual sections in
pairs.

Operation
1
Starting of a massage.
You can start a massage by pressing the following buttons:

ON/OFF-button (1).
When the massage unit is operated for the first time, the setting
"individual" is activated. All massage motors operate in the manufacturer`s
setting (intensity level 2; medium intensity). When the massage unit has
been operated before, the previously-set program is started again
(individual, pulse or wellness massage).
1.2
Individual button (2).
When the massage unit is operated for the first time, the manufacturer´s
setting is activated (intensity level 2; medium intensity). When an individual
setting has been set before , the previously-set setting is started again.
1.3
Pulse-massage button (3).
Start this massage with the first of the three pulse-massage programs.
1.4
Wellness-massage button (4).
Start this massage with the first of the three wellness-massage programs.
1.5
Intensity buttons (5-9).
Pressing one of these buttons sets the relevant massage motor to intensity
level 1. Please note: doing so will clobber a previously-set individual setting
(look at § 3, individual settings)

Finishing of a massage.
A timer finishes a massage after 15 minutes automatically. If you want to
stop the massage before, press the ON/OFF-button (1).

Individual setting.
Start the massage by pressing the individual button (2). When the massage
unit is operated for the first time, the manufacturer´s setting is activated
(intensity level 2; medium intensity). Now you can set each motor to three
levels of intensity with the buttons 5-9. The levels are indicated on the
LED-display as follows.
