1. Istruzioni generali di sicurezza
1.1 Il mancato rispetto di queste istruzioni può compromettere la sicurezza dell’u-
tente. Tuttavia, non è possibile scongiurare e offrire protezione contro ogni cir-
costanza o in situazioni imprevedibili.
1.2 Non salire o scendere scale senza l’assistenza di un addetto.
Usare, se disponibili, rampe e ascensori. In assenza di un accesso per disabili,
sono necessarie due persone per sollevare la sedia a rotelle e superare l’ostaco-
lo.
1.3 Se possibile, piegare le pedane verso l’alto prima di salire o scendere dalla
sedia a rotelle.
1.4 Attenzione se non si ha esperienza nel portare la sedia a rotelle.
Si rischia infatti di cadere o incorrere in situazioni pericolose.
Pertanto, esercitarsi con la nuova sedia a rotelle facendo prima pratica su super-
ci regolari e diritte. Imparare come la sedia a rotelle reagisce allo spostamento
del baricentro; ad esempio, su pendenze o rampe quando si superano ostacoli
come gradini e bordi di marciapiede. Svolgere queste attività solo con l’aiuto di
un’altra persona.
1.5 Rischio di danni causati da sovraccarico.
1.6 Le ruote di guida vanno sostituite in caso di gomme danneggiate.
Controllare periodicamente lo stato di usura.
2. Consegna e preparazione all’uso
(NB: Le foto presenti nel manuale possono mostrare un prodotto diverso dalla
sedia a rotelle che avete effettivamente ricevuto).
La sedia a rotelle è solitamente consegnata completamente assemblata, piegata e
con le ruote posteriori montate.
Sono sufcienti pochi gesti per prepararla all’uso.

Avvertenze per l’uso
Non utilizzare la sedia a rotelle su un pendio ad una velocità superiore a 8km/h.
Non utilizzare la sedia a rotelle sulla supercie accidentata della strada.
I fermi sono utilizzati solo per il parcheggio della sedia a rotelle a terra.
Non utilizzare i fermi per bloccare la sedia quando si muove.
Le serrature delle ruote devono essere agganciate entrambe sulle ruote po-
steriori più grandi prima di sedersi o di alzarsi dalla sedia.

3. Pulizia e disinfezione
3.1 Pulire il tessuto con acqua calda e detergente. Rimuovere eventuali macchie
con una spugna o una spazzola morbida. Sciacquare con acqua pulita e lascia-
re asciugare i componenti.
3.2 Non usare detergenti aggressivi, solventi o spazzole dure.
3.3 Pulizia a secco. I componenti non sono lavabili in lavatrice. Per la disinfezione,
usare detergenti a base di acqua (es. concentrato Sagrotan originale).
3.4 Prima di disinfettare, pulire tessuti e maniglie. Le parti in plastica, i componen-
ti del telaio, della struttura e delle ruote possono essere puliti con un detergente
delicato. Lasciare asciugare completamente dopo la pulizia.
4. Riuso
Informazioni per il riuso
Il prodotto può essere riutilizzato. Così come accade con le auto o le macchine di
seconda mano, i prodotti usati sono soggetti a maggiori sollecitazioni.
Non è possibile apportare modiche a caratteristiche e funzioni che mettano in pe-
ricolo pazienti o terze persone durante la vita utile del prodotto.

1. General Safety Instructions
1.1 Please read the instructions for use rst! Before using the product, you should
be familiar with the handling, function and use of the product.
You may compromise your safety if you do not observe these instructions.
However, it is impossible to protect against and avoid all unforeseeable circum-
stances and situations.
1.2 Do not ascend or descend stairs without the assistance of attendants.
If devices such as ramps or elevators are available, they should be used. If
wheelchair-friendly access is missing, two attendants must carry the wheelchair
over the obstacle.
1.3 If possible, the footplates should be ipped up before getting into or out of
the wheelchair.
1.4 Risk of accident when driving without experience. This can lead to falls and
other dangerous situations. Therefore, familiarize yourself with the new wheel-
chair by practicing on even, straightforward terrain rst. Learn how the wheel-
chair reacts when the center of gravity shifts; for example on slopes or inclines
or when clearing obstacles such as steps and curbs. This should be done only
with the assistance of another person.
1.5 Risk of damage caused by overload.
1.6 The drive wheels must be replaced in case of tire damage. Periodically check
the wear condition.
2. Delivery and Preparation for Use
(Please Note: The photos here may show differences to the wheelchair you actu-
ally received).
Your wheelchair is usually delivered fully assembled, folded, and with the rear
wheels mounted.
A few simple steps are sufcient to prepare it for use.

1. Push down the seat rail
to open wheel chair.
Do not put your ngers
between the seat rail

Caution for operation
Do not drive the wheelchair on a slope more than 8km/h.
Do not use the wheelchair on the bumpy road surface.
The locks are only used for parking the wheelchair on the ground.
Do not use the hand lock to stop the chair when it is moving.
The wheel locks should be engaged against both large rear wheels before
silling down or getting up from the chair.

3. Cleaning and Disinfection
3.1 Clean the upholstery with warm water and a washing-up liquid.
Remove spots with a sponge or a soft brush. Rinse with clear water and let the
components dry.
3.2 Do not use any aggressive cleansing agents, solvents, or hard brushes etc.
3.3 No wet-cleaning. Components are not machine washable. For disinfection,
water-based agents (e.g. Sagrotan original concentrate) should be used.
3.4 Before disinfecting, the pads and handles must be cleaned. Plastic parts,
frame parts as well as chassis and wheels can be cleaned with a mild detergent.
Dry thoroughly afterwards.
4. Re-use
Information on Re-Use
The product is suitable for re-use. Similar to second-hand machines or cars, pro-
ducts that are being re-used are subject to increased strain.
Features and functions must not change in a way that could endanger patients or
other persons within the product’s life cycle.
