Installation
The air interlock kit provides for safe flushing of an
electrostatic spray gun when used with the ValueMix
Proportioner. The kit converts the ValueMix so that
when the spray/flush toggle switch is set to flush, the
air supply to the electrostatic gun is shut off.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of serious injury whenever you
are instructed to relieve pressure, always follow the
Pressure Relief Procedure in the ValueMix manu-
al 309106.
1. Relieve the pressure.
2. Unplug the electrical power cord.
3. Open the ValueMix cabinet. Disconnect the gun air
hose (P) from the elbow (H) at the gun air regula-
tor (B).
4. Disconnect the air tube (N) from the elbow con-
nected to the bushing (G) in the branch of the tee
(F). Leave the other end of the tube connected to
the external pilots. Remove and discard the elbow.
NOTE: Do not remove the other elbow (E) and main
air tube (D) from the tee (F).
5. Remove the air tube (M) from the elbow at the
outlet of the pump air regulator (A). Leave the tube
connected to the spray/flush toggle switch (K).
Remove and discard the elbow.
6. Remove and discard the air tube connecting the
spray/flush toggle switch (K) to the solvent pump.
7. Remove the air tube (L) from the spray/flush
toggle switch (K) but leave it connected to the
proportioning pumps.
8. Screw a 1/4 npt elbow (3) into the outlet port of the
pump air regulator (A) so it is positioned as shown
in the parts drawing.
9. Install an adapter (1) and muffler (2) into the IN
and EXH ports, respectively, of one of the solenoid
valves (8). Leave the existing muffler (J) in place.
Assemble a 1/8 npt elbow (4) and two 1/4 npt
elbows (6) to the solenoid valve as shown in the
parts drawing.
10. Screw the adapter (1) onto the elbow (3) to attach
the solenoid assembly to the pump air regulator
(A).
11. Screw the tee (7) into the bushing (G).
12. Install an adapter (1) and muffler (2) into the IN
and EXH ports, respectively, of the other solenoid
valve (8). Leave the existing muffler (J) in place.
Assemble a 1/8 npt elbow (4), 1/4 npt elbow (3),
and pipe plug (5) to the solenoid valve as shown in
the parts drawing.
13. Screw the adapter (1) onto the elbow (H) at the
outlet of the gun air regulator (B).
14. Connect the existing tubing as follows:
a. Connect the free end of tube (N) from the
external pilots to the tee (7).
b. Connect the free end of tube (M) from the
spray/flush toggle switch to the tee (7).
c. Connect the free end of tube (L) from the
proportioning pumps to the CYL A elbow (6)
on the solenoid valve (8) at the pump air
regulator (A).
15. Connect new tubing as follows:
a. Connect tube (9a) from the elbow (4) on the
gun air regulator solenoid valve (8) to the
spray/flush toggle switch (K).
b. Connect tube (9b) from the elbow (4) on the
pump air regulator solenoid valve (8) to the
spray/flush toggle switch (K).
c. Connect tube (9c) from the CYL B elbow (6)
on the pump air regulator solenoid valve (8) to
the solvent pump air inlet.
16. Connect the gun air hose (P) to the elbow (3) at
the gun solenoid valve (8).
17. Return the ValueMix to service.

The Graco Standard Warranty
Graco warrants all equipment manufactured by Graco and bearing its name to be free from defects in material and workmanship on the
date of sale by an authorized Graco distributor to the original purchaser for use. With the exception of any special, extended, or limited
warranty published by Graco, Graco will, for a period of twelve months from the date of sale, repair or replace any part of the equipment
determined by Graco to be defective. This warranty applies only when the equipment is installed, operated and maintained in accor-
dance with Graco’s written recommendations.
This warranty does not cover, and Graco shall not be liable for general wear and tear, or any malfunction, damage or wear caused by
faulty installation, misapplication, abrasion, corrosion, inadequate or improper maintenance, negligence, accident, tampering, or sub-
stitution of non–Graco component parts. Nor shall Graco be liable for malfunction, damage or wear caused by the incompatibility of
Graco equipment with structures, accessories, equipment or materials not supplied by Graco, or the improper design, manufacture,
installation, operation or maintenance of structures, accessories, equipment or materials not supplied by Graco.
This warranty is conditioned upon the prepaid return of the equipment claimed to be defective to an authorized Graco distributor for
verification of the claimed defect. If the claimed defect is verified, Graco will repair or replace free of charge any defective parts. The
equipment will be returned to the original purchaser transportation prepaid. If inspection of the equipment does not disclose any defect
in material or workmanship, repairs will be made at a reasonable charge, which charges may include the costs of parts, labor, and
transportation.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE, AND IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Graco’s sole obligation and buyer’s sole remedy for any breach of warranty shall be as set forth above. The buyer agrees that no other
remedy (including, but not limited to, incidental or consequential damages for lost profits, lost sales, injury to person or property, or any
other incidental or consequential loss) shall be available. Any action for breach of warranty must be brought within two (2) years of the
date of sale.
Graco makes no warranty, and disclaims all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose in connection
with accessories, equipment, materials or components sold but not manufactured by Graco. These items sold, but not manufactured
by Graco (such as electric motors, switches, hose, etc.), are subject to the warranty, if any, of their manufacturer. Graco will provide
purchaser with reasonable assistance in making any claim for breach of these warranties.
In no event will Graco be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from Graco supplying equipment
hereunder, or the furnishing, performance, or use of any products or other goods sold hereto, whether due to a breach of contract,
breach of warranty, the negligence of Graco, or otherwise.

The parties acknowledge that they have required that the present document, as well as all documents, notices and legal proceedings
entered into, given or instituted pursuant hereto or relating directly or indirectly hereto, be drawn up in English. Les parties reconnais-
