Setup
Charge Batteries Before First Use
CAUTION
Only charge the grease gun with the locking switch in
the OFF position. Charging in the ON position will
damage the charger and the motor.
The grease gun battery must be charged at least 16
hours before initial use. (See Battery Charging, page
6).
Filling the Grease Gun
The grease gun can be filled two ways.
DUsing the grease gun loader valve for loading bulk
quantities of grease. See Fig. 1.
DUsing prefilled tubes of grease.
Fig. 1
Loader Valve (1)

If only the loader valve is used to fill the grease gun,
it’s recommended that the rubber plunger inside the
grease gun barrel be turned around. This permits
trouble–free filling and greasing by ensuring that no
grease is pressed into the area behind the plunger.
See the procedure “Modifying the Grease Gun for use
with the Grease Gun Loader Valve”on page 4.
Note: The loader valve for bulk grease filling requires
the use of a filler adapter valve. See the Accessories
listing on page 9.
If prefilled tubes or a combination of tubes and bulk
filling are used for refilling the grease gun it is not
necessary to modify the grease gun. See page 5 for
loading the gun with prefilled tubes.
Modifying the Grease Gun for use with the
Grease Gun Loader Valve.
WARNING
Make certain that the open, threaded barrel end of
the grease gun barrel always points away from
yourself and others.
1. Unscrew the gun’s head. Unscrew the plastic grip
(1) and the locking nut (2) from the connecting rod.
The connecting rod (8) must be held firmly by the
clamp lever (3). See Fig. 2 and Fig 4.
