Precautions for Handling Units for Use with R32
Do not use the existing re rigerant piping
The old re rigerant and re rigerator oil in the existing piping
contain a large amount o chlorine, which will cause the
re rigerator oil in the new unit to deteriorate.
R32 is a high-pressure re rigerant, and the use o the
existing piping may result in bursting.
Keep the inner and outer sur aces o the pipes clean and
ree o contaminants such as sul ur, oxides, dust/dirt shaving
particles,oils,and moisture.
Contaminants inside the re rigerant piping will cause the
re rigerant oil to deteriorate.
Use a vacuum pump with a reverse- low check valve.
I other types o valves are used, the vacuum pump oil will
low back into the re rigerant cycle and cause the re rigerator
oil to deteriorate.
Do not use the ollowing tools that have been used with the
conventional re rigerants. Prepare tools that are or exclusive
use with R32.
(Gauge mani old, charging hose, gas leak detector,
reverse- low check valve, re rigerant charge base, vacuum
gauge, and re rigerant recovery equipment.)
I re rigerant and/or re rigerant oil le t on these tools are
mixed in with R32, or i water is mixed with R32, it will
cause the re rigerant to deteriorate.
Since R32 does not contain chlorine, gas-leak detectors
or conventional re rigerators will not work.
Store the piping to be used during installation indoors, and
keep both ends o the piping sealed until immediately be ore
brazing.(keep elbows and other joints wrapped in plastic.)
I dust, dirt, or water enters the re rigerant cycle, it may
cause the oil in the unit to deteriorate or may cause the
compressor to mal unction.
A large amount o mineral oil will cause the re rigerating
machine oil to deteriorate.
Use a small amount o ester oil, ether oil, or alkylbenzene
to coat lares and lange connections.
Use liquid re rigerant to charge the system.
Charge the unit with gas re rigerant will cause the re rigerant
in the cylinder to change its composition and will lead to
a drop in per ormance
Do not use a charging cylinder.
The use o charging cylinder will change the composition
o the re rigerant and lead to power loss.
Exercise special care when handling the tools.
An introduction o oreign objects such as dust, dirt or
water into the re rigerant cycle will cause the re rigerating
machine oil to deteriorate.
Only use R32 re rigerant.
The use o re rigerants containing chlorine(i.e. R22) will
cause the re rigerant to deteriorate.
Before Installing the Unit
Do not install the unit in a place where there is a possibility
o lammable gas leak.
Leaked gas accumulated around the unit may start a ire
or explosion.
Do not use the unit to preserve ood, animals, plants, arti acts,
or or other special purposes.
The unit is not designed to provide adepuate conditions
to preserve the quality o these items.
Do not use the unit in an unusual environment
The use o the unit in the presence o a large amount o
oil, steam, acid, alkaline solvents or special types o sprays
may lead to a remarkable drop in per ormance and/or
mal unction and presents a risk o electric shock, smoke,
ire, or explosion.
The presence o organic solvents, corroded gas (such as
ammonia, sul ur compounds, and acid may cause gas or
water leak.)
When installing the unit in a hospital, take necessary measures
against noise.
High- requency medical equipment may inter ere with the
normal operation o the air conditioning unit or the air
conditioning unit may inter ere with the normal operation
o the medical equipment
When humidity level exceeds 80% or when the drainage
system is clogged, indoor units may drip water.
Installation o a centralized drainage system or the outdoor
unit may also need to be considered to prevent water drips
rom the outdoor units.
Do not place the unit on or over things that may not get wet.
