EIM Module Basics
•Reasons to use EIM Modules:
1.)Not enough wires to thermostat or want to use
wireless thermostat.
2.)Want to monitor system through honeywell
3.)Installing a humidifier, ventilator, dehumidifier
4.)Use of dry contacts for alarms, alerts, unit
protection.
EIM Module Mounting Locations
•1.)Mounting EIM Module on horizontal
applications can be accomplished by mounting to
supply or return air plenums.
•2.)Mounting EIM Module on vertical applications
can be accomplished by mounting to supply
ductwork or walls in closet.
•3.)Mounting EIM Module on package units can be
accomplished by installing anywhere inside unit
where water can not enter. Examples: mount on
splitter inside, interior wall, heat strip
compartment.
EIM Module Wiring
•1.) If wiring 24 volts to thermostat Red and
Common to be connected at R and C at the
(TO THERMOSTAT) terminals on EIM Module.
•2.)Wiring to equipment is standard
connections: example Y to Y, G to G on EIM
Module terminals.
•3.) Wiring of discharge sensor to go to S2
terminals on EIM Module, note does not
matter which wire goes to which.

•4.) Wiring of return air sensor to be connected to
S1 terminals on EIM Module, note does not
matter what wire goes to which terminal.
•5.)Wiring of condensate safety switch must be
connected to the S3 terminals, again does not
matter which wires.
•6.)Wiring of drain pan sensor (optional) must be
connected to S4 terminals for normally closed
circuit, and 24 volts to Red and Common
Programming Redlink for EIM Module
•1.)Follow instructions that come up on screen when
new thermostat is first installed or reset to factory
default settings then follow instructions.
•2.)Go through thermostat until thermostat reads:T-Stat
Controls an Equip Module:NO switch using arrow keys
to yes. Next hit yes then next says to press connect at
EIM Module. Press connect and wait to see green LED
start flashing then go to thermostat and hit next.
Should say connecting, once connected thermostat will
say connected, hit next and you have now linked
thermostat to Module.
Programming Continued
•3.)Next screen on thermostat says connect
redlink devices, this is where you connect all
wireless devices.
•4.)Continue through set up until thermostat
says:Wired Sensor on S terminals:no. Switch
to yes using arrow keys and hit next.
•5.)Next screen asks if wired remote indoor
sensor:no leave at no these are not remote
indoor sensors.
