BEFORE EVERY USE OF THE EQUIP-
MENT, in order to gain maximum
benet.
Failure to follow the instructions given
in this manual may have grave conse-
quences. We recommend that you
re-read these instructions from time
to time. In addition, the manufacturer
or its representative declines all res-
ponsibility in case of any use, storage
method or maintenance carried out in
any other manner than that described
in this manual.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE GIVEN
TOTHE END USER
In the interests of the user’s safety, if
the product is re-sold outside of the
original destination country, the seller
must provide the following informa-
tion in the language habitually used
in the country of use:
maintenance instructions for
periodical examination;
instructions concerning repairs;
additional information required
that is specific to the equipment.
A fall arrest harness is the only body
harness that is legal for use in a fall ar-
rest system.
It is necessary to be completely sure
before use that the recommendations
specic to each element associated
with this product are respected, as
dened in their instructions, that they
comply with the applicable European
standards or otherwise any other
appropriate standard and that their
safety functions do not interfere with
one another.
Whenever possible, it is stongly re-
commended that this equipment be
personally assigned to a single user.
Check that the product you have just
acquired is compatible with the re-
commendations of the other system
components.
While in use, protect your PPE against
all risks connected with the work en-
vironment : thermal, electrical or me-
chanical shocks, acid splashes, sharp
edges, etc. …

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

WARNING
Activities at height are dange-
rous and can cause serious ac-
cidents and injuries. We remind
you that you are personally liable
in the case of an accident, injury
or fatality to either yourself or a
third party during or following
the use of one of our products.
The use of our products is reser-
ved to authorized persons who
have gone through the proper
training or who are operating un-
der the supervision and instruc-
tion of an authorized superior.
Ensure that you have been ade-
quately trained in the use of
this PPE and make sure that you
fully understand how it works. If
there is any doubt, do not take
any risks but rather seek advice.
Good physical condition is requi-
red in order to carry out work at
height. Certain medical contrain-
dications can threaten the user’s
safety (taking medications, car-
diovascular problems, etc.) du-
ring normal use of the PPE and
in emergencies. In any case of
doubt, consult your physician.
To correctly attach the fall arrest
harness to an anchorage point ( com-
pliant with EN 795 ), we recommend
that you proceed as follows :
To connect an energy absorber
( compliant with EN 355 )to the
back attaching element of the
fall arrest harness ( cf. EN 355 ) or
an automatic return fall arrester (
compliant with EN 360 )
For the chest attaching element
of the fall arrester of the harness,
connect a mobile fall arrester
which includes an anchorage
support ( rigid compliant with.
EN 353-1, flexible compliant with
EN 353-2 )
ADDITIONAL ELEMENTS AS PER
STANDARD EN 358
Element(s) that may be mounted on
a fall arrest harness so that it may be
used as or with a work positioning or
retaining system ( compliant with EN
358 )
In the working position, the adjust-
ment of the retaining lanyard must
not allow a Free movement excee-
ding 0.50m. This lanyard must be kept
taut. ( cf. 11 ).
The work positionning or retaining
system must not be used to stop a fall.
PUTTING ON THE FALL ARREST
HARNESS
Please proceed as follows in order to
put your harness on without diculty
(cf. 1) :
Take the harness by the Back ‘D’
ring,
Put on the shoulder straps one
after the other,
Pass the thigh straps between
your legs, in order to lock them
into the buckles on either side of
your hips. Be careful not to cross
the thigh straps
Adjust the thigh straps by pulling
or releasing the strap end ( cf.2 )
If your harness is fitted with a
belt, adjust and buckle it ( cf.2).
For harnesses equipped with
shoulder strap adjustment, adjust
the shoulder straps one after the
other by pulling on or releasing
the end of the strap,
Attach the thorax strap if present,
Connect the thorax attaching
points of the harness using a
connector ( compliant with EN
362 )
For a fall arrest harness to be totally
ecient, it must be properly adjusted
(not too tight or too loose). Please
note: harnesses made of elasticised
webbing require a tighter t.
Once your harness is adjusted, check
that no webbing is twisted or crossed
over, that all the buckles are correctly
attached and that the back‘D’ is situa-
ted at the level of the shoulder blades.
For optimum safety, do not hesitate to
seek help.
USE
The attachment of the fall arrest sys-
tem to the harness MUST be made
SOLELY by the back attaching ele-
ment provided for the purpose ( ”D”
link or webbing attaching extension)
( cf. 3 ) or by chest anchorage points
(webbing link or ”D” link ) ( cf. 4 & 5 ).
The chest attaching points must im-
peratively be used with two points
at the same time. The belt D-links
and the waist attaching points must
only be used to attach a work posi-
tioning or retaining system and NE-
VER with a fall arrest system ( cf. 6 ).
When connecting a shock-absorbing
lanyard to the dorsal extension strap
on the harness (cf. J ), ensure that the
total length of the lanyard + extension
strap + connector does not exceed
2m. When connecting a shock-absor-
bing lanyard to the dorsal extension
strap on the harness (cf. J ), ensure
that the total length of the lanyard +
extension strap + connector does not
exceed 2m.
During use, check the adjusting and/
or attaching parts regularly.
CHECKING
Before each use, carry out a thorough
visual examination to ensure that the
PPE, as well as any other equipment
that may be attached to it (connec-
tor, lanyard, etc.) is complete. Make
all necessary arrangements for the
implementation of any rescue in total
safety. In the event of your product
being damaged, consult the manu-
facturer or his agent. If you have any
doubts regarding the safe condition
of the product, or if the product has
been used to arrest a fall, it is essential
to your personal safety that the PPE
