TheProPackC400isexclusivelydesigned
for the manufacture of packaging cushions
made from cardboard.
Thewarrantyperiodforthemachineis
2 years. This guarantee does not cover
wear,damagecausedbyincorrecthandling,
naturalwearandinterventionbythirdpar-
ties.

mains.
 Serviceworkmayonlybecarried
out by HSM Customer Service or
by the service technicians of our
contractual partners.
• Makesurethatthemainsplugiswellac-
cessible.
• Beforeyouinsertthemainsplug,make
sure that the voltage and frequency of
yourpowersupplycomplywiththeinfor-
mation on the name plate.
• Make sure that no liquids get into the
ProPack.
• The machine must not be placed near a
radiator or other heat source.
• The ventilation slots must be unobstruct-
ed,andtheremustbeadistanceofat
least5cmbetweentheshredderandthe
wallsandfurniture.

Connectthepowercabletothemachine.
Themachinemustbeconnectedtoapower
sourcewhichmeetsthespecicationsonthe
nameplate.Makesurethatthepowercable
is unobstructed and that nobody can tread
on it. Plug the connecting plug of the ma-
chine into a properly installed socket.
Use the recessed grips at the sides to transport
the shredder.

Switching the system on
•
Movethepowerswitchattheright-
hand side to position “I”.
• The “Ready for operation” indicator
lights up.
The machine is ready to operate.
Pressthe“Forwardbutton”.
The cutting unit starts up.
Feed in cardboard
• Cardboardwidthsofupto415mmcanbe
processed.
• Wider cardboard is automatically trimmed.
• Thecuttingunitisswitchedoffusingthe
stop button.
Switch off
Movethepowerswitchontheright-handside
to position “0”.

Switchoffthemachineanddisconnectthe
powerplug.Whencleaning,onlyuseasoft
clothandamildsoap-watersolution.How-
ever,nowatermustentertheequipment.
8 Cleaning
9 Disposal / Recycling
Electricalandelectronicoldde-
vices contain a variety of valuable
materials,butalsohazardoussub-
stanceswhichwererequiredfor
function and safety. Incorrect dis-
posal or handling can be danger-
ous to your health and the environment.
Never dispose of old devices in the house-
holdwaste.Observethecurrentapplicable
regulations and use the collection points for
returning and recycling electric and electron-
ic devices. Dispose of all the packaging
materials also in an environmentally-respon-
sibleway.
Blockage
Press the “Reverse button” to remove mate-
rial in the event of problems.
The cutting unit reverses for approx.
3 sec and pushes the cardboard back.
Note
If a large quantity of cardboard has already
been pulled in before the blockage occur-
red,youcanalsopresstheforwardbutton.
Thismakesthecuttingunitrunforwardsand
shreds the remaining cardboard.
Duringthisfunction,the“Readyforopera-
tion”and“Blockage”indicatorsashalter-
nately.
Forallothermalfunctions,checkwhether
themotorwasoverloadedbeforecontacting
our customer service. Let the machine cool
downforapprox.15–20mins.beforere-
starting.
