1 Getting to Know Your Phone
Your Phone
The following figure shows the appearance of your phone and it is

2 Getting Started
Installing the SIM Card and Battery
Before you remove the battery and SIM card, ensure that
your phone is powered off.
When you install the SIM card, ensure that the gold contact
area of subscriber identity module (SIM) card faces down.
Install the SIM card before you install the battery.
Removing the SIM Card and Battery
Remove the battery before you remove the SIM card.

Installing and Removing a microSD Card
Before you install or remove a microSD card, power the
phone off.
If is displayed in the status bar when the phone is
powered back on, the microSD card has been correctly
installed.
You can expand your phone's memory capacity by installing a
microSD card. When installing a microSD card, ensure that the gold
contact area faces down.
Charging the Phone
1. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the phone's charger
connector and the larger end to the charger.
2. Connect the charger to a power socket.
3. Wait until the battery is fully charged.

While the battery is charging, the charging icon blinks. When the
battery is fully charged, the charging icon stops blinking.
4. Unplug the charger from the power socket and the USB cable
from the phone.
Calibrating the Screen
Press and hold to power on the phone. When the screen
lights up, press and hold to start a forced calibration. Once
calibrated, the phone responds more accurately to your touches.
1. From standby mode, touch and choose .
2. Choose Phone settings > Pen calibration.
3. During the calibration, a sequence of are displayed on the
screen. Touch the center of each to complete the
calibration.
Touch each as you would touch the screen in daily use
to ensure that the phone will respond accurately to your
touches.
Accessing the Home Screen Applications
In standby mode, touch the corresponding icons to access the
following applications.
Dialer
Make a call, send a text message, or add a contact.
Messaging
Compose, read, reply to, forward, or delete a message.
