1.1 Stove Alarm features
The Stove Alarm detects the temperature and rate of temperature increase of the cooker surface (Hotplate Monitoring).
The alarm is triggered when the cooker temperature exceeds safe levels or when a rise in temperature is faster than in
normal cooking.
The Hotplate Monitoring alarm is triggered in 3 to 25 minutes. The Stove Alarm rst emits a one-minute long warning
signal; this is followed by the alarm signal, unless either signal is cancelled by the user pressing the buon on the Stove
Alarm.
Both the warning signal and the alarm signal can be reset by pressing the Stove Alarm buon either TWICE if the alarm
was triggered by a hazardous situaon (memory rule: ‘Thank you’) or ONCE if the alarm was falsely triggered by a normal
cooking situaon (memory rule: ‘No’).
While the Stove Alarm is new, the sensivity level needs to adjust to the user’s cooker. This may result in false alarms at
rst. The Stove Alarm responds to the user registering a false alarm by adjusng the sensivity level automacally.
The Hotplate Monitoring alarm also gets reset automacally when the gas/electricity to the cooker has been cut o and
the cooker temperature starts to fall. When the alarm is reset by falling temperature, the sensivity level of the Stove
Alarm is not aected.
Please note that the Hotplate Monitoring alarm is not triggered if the temperature of the hotplate is not high enough for
the Stove Alarm to idenfy a hazardous situaon or if the cooker automacally limits the increase in temperature. The
Stove Alarm is an addional safety device that does not necessarily cover all possible hazardous situaons, but that signi-
cantly improves the safety of the cooker.
1.2 Addional features when used as a part of the Innohome Safety System
The safety of your cooker can be further increased by using the Stove Alarm with the Innohome Stove Guard or the In-
nohome Wireless Alarm Receiver.
When the Stove Guard is used in conjuncon with the Stove Alarm, the alarm signal triggers the Stove Guard to cut the gas
or electricity supply to the cooker. Addionally, the Stove Guard can cut o the gas/electricity if the Guard detects an ex-
ternal re/CO/gas alarm signal or if it detects that the cooker has been le on accidentally (by monitoring the user’s power
adjustments). The Guard has a Safety Lock funcon that prevents the power to the cooker being turned on accidentally.
This greatly reduces the risk of hazardous situaons caused by children, pets, or people with memory/cognive disorders.
The Wireless Alarm Receiver enables integrang alternave signalling devices into the Safety System, such as ashing lights
or vibrang alarms. Using Wireless Alarm Receivers, the Stove Alarm signal can be transferred to several rooms.

2.1 Reseng the alarm
Aer the Stove Alarm is installed, it needs to be ‘taught’ not to react in normal cooking situaons. If the Alarm signals in
a hazardous situaon, reset it by pressing the Stove Alarm buon TWICE (memory rule: ‘Thank you’). If the Stove Alarm
signals in a normal cooking situaon, reset the alarm by pressing the buon ONCE (memory rule: ‘No’).
Thus the manner in which the Stove Alarm is reset adjusts its sensivity accordingly.
The Hotplate Monitoring alarm also gets reset automacally when the gas/electricity to the cooker has been cut o and
the cooker temperature starts to fall. When the alarm is reset by falling temperature, the sensivity level of the Stove
Alarm is not aected.
Please note that for 30 minutes following an alarm, the Stove Alarm will only react if the maximum temperature is
exceeded, and will not respond to the rate of temperature change.
2.2 Push-buon funcons
Push the buon (1) on top of the Stove Alarm to:
• Reset the alarm and reconnect the power to the cooker (when
the Alarm is signalling):
False alarm: Press the push buon once
Correct alarm: Press the push buon twice
• Do a test alarm: Press the buon unl you hear a signal
To change the baery open the cover using the screw (2) on the bot-
tom of the alarm.
The light (3) will light up at one-minute intervals when the Stove Alarm
is on.

Test the funconality of the Stove Alarm at least once a month by pressing the Stove Alarm buon unl you hear a signal.
Clean the Stove Alarm by wiping it with a cloth dampened with a mixture of household detergent and water. Only use a
cloth that does not leave bres.
3. Monthly Maintenance
Sound Meaning Course of Acon
A short “beep” every few seconds The Stove Alarm has detected a high
temperature or a fast temperature
rise on the cooker surface (Hotplate
Monitoring). This is a warning signal
that starts one minute before the actual
alarm. By resetting the warning signal,
the alarm can be cancelled.
Reset the warning signal by pushing
the push button once (false alarm) or
twice (correct alarm), see section 2.1.
Repeve fast “beep, beep, beep” The Stove Alarm has detected a high
temperature or a fast temperature
rise on the cooker surface (Hotplate
Monitoring, alarm signal).
Turn off the cooker hobs. Reset the
alarm signal by pushing the push
button once (false alarm) or twice
(correct alarm), see section 2.1.
A signal once a minute The Stove Alarm has a weak baery. Replace the battery. Pushing the
buon on the Stove Alarm once will
delay the baery alarm for 12 hours.
2.3 Meaning of alarm signals
The Stove Alarm signal has a higher tone than the Stove Guard signal.

Establishing communicaon with the Wireless Alarm Receiver TM13
The communicaon link between the Stove Alarm and the Wireless Alarm Receiver starts automacally. However, if you
already have devices that use X.10 technology, or if, for example, the Wireless Alarm Receiver responds to your neigh-
bour’s Stove Alarm, the house address of the Wireless Alarm Receiver needs to be changed manually (see secon 8).

1. Remove the Stove Alarm from its packaging and allow it to reach
room temperature, waing around 15 minutes.
2. Remove the protective plastic strip from the Stove Alarm. The
Alarm will emit a signal when the power is connected. Inialize the
Stove Alarm by pressing push buon (1) once.
3. Aach the Stove Alarm to the range hood with magnets, directly
above the central point of the cooker, but not too close to the lights.
Alternavely, the Stove Alarm can be aached using screws (remove
the magnets rst) or adhesive tape (4). If using adhesive tape, rst
make sure that the surface is cleaned and dry. If the cooker has no
range hood, the Stove Alarm can be aached to the wall, approxi-
mately 16” (40 cm) above the cooker.
4. The sensivity level is factory set to suit most installaons. If this
level is unsuitable for your cooker and results in false alarms, the
Stove Alarm will automacally adjust the sensivity level according to
your response to the alarm (see secon 2.1). However, if the instal-
laon height is dierent from the usual 20-23.5” (50-60 cm) when
installed under the cooker hood, the sensivity level may need to be
adjusted manually (see secon 9).
5. Stove Alarm Installaon
A weak baery in the Stove Alarm causes the Stove Alarm to emit a signal once a minute. The baery alarm can be
reset by pushing the Stove Alarm buon once. The baery alarm will restart aer 12 hours if the baery has not been
replaced.
Unscrewing the screw on the boom of the Alarm (2, see picture in secon 5) opens the cover for changing the baery.
Use CR2032 type baeries.
A weak baery in the Stove Alarm does not aect the other features of the Safety System (when the Stove Alarm is used
in conjuncon with the Stove Guard).

The sensivity level determines the rate of temperature change required to acvate the Stove Alarm.
The Stove Alarm responds to the user indicang a false alarm (see secon 2.1) by adjusng the sensivity level automa-
cally. If the Stove Alarm does not respond correctly to the test situaon described in secon 6, the sensivity level needs to
be manually adjusted to a more sensive level. The level is indicated by the numbers 1 to 16, where 1 represents the most
sensive level, and 16, the least sensive. The factory seng is 5. Inially, adjust the sensivity level to 4 and then repeat
the test. Oponally, the Stove Alarm may also be moved closer to the cooker (see diagram below).
This diagram shows the recommended sensivity level (le column) for the distance between the Stove Alarm and the top
of the cooker (at the boom).
Seng the sensivity level manually:
1. Hold the Stove Alarm buon for about 5 seconds, unl you hear a signal.
2. Release the buon and hold again unl the Stove Alarm emits a signal.
3. Now press the buon as many mes as the level (1-16) you wish to set it to. Wait for the light to go o between each
press of the buon.
4. The Stove Alarm will now emit twice as many signals as the level it is set to, in two lots: 2+2 signals for level 2; 3+3
signals for level 3; 4+4 signals for level 4; and so on.

SA102RF Stove Alarm User Manual
The Alarm sounds in a non-hazardous situaon
• Aer the Stove Alarm is installed, it needs to be ‘taught’ not to react in normal cooking situaons. If the Stove
Alarmstarts to signal in a normal cooking situaon, reset the alarm by pressing the buon ONCE (memory rule: ‘No’).
This will adjust the sensivity level of the Stove Alarm accordingly.
The Stove Alarm test failed (secon 6)
• Set the sensivity level to a lower number (see “Seng the sensivity level” secon 7).
• If the Alarm neither emits a signal nor ashes its light when the buon is pressed, the baery may be at. To
change the baery, open the case by unscrewing the screw (2, see picture in secon 5.). Use CR2032 type baeries.
• If the device sll does not work, contact the retailer.
9. Troubleshoong
The Wireless Alarm Receiver TM13 is a radio controlled socket that receives an RF signal sent by the Stove Alarm.
The RF signal is emied simultaneously to the Hotplate Monitoring warning signal. The Wireless Alarm Receiver then
acvates any device that it is connected to, such as a ashing light or a vibrang alarm.
The Stove Alarm and the Wireless Alarm Receiver communicate using X.10 technology. The communicaon link between
the Stove Alarm and the Wireless Alarm Receiver starts automacally. However, if you already have devices that use X.10
technology, or if, for example, the Wireless Alarm Receiver responds to your neighbour’s Stove Alarm, the house address
of the Wireless Alarm Receiver TM13 needs to be changed manually.
8.1 Seng the address of the TM13 manually
The factory seng of the house address is ‘A’. The Unit address for the Stove Alarm is always ‘1’. Set dierent addresses
for devices that you do not want communicang with each other.
Seng the address
1. Hold the buon on the Stove Alarm for about 10 seconds and wait for two
signals.
2. Press the Stove Alarm buon for one second and wait for a signal.
3. Press the Stove Alarm buon as many mes as the appropriate address (1:A,
2:B … 16:P). Wait for the light to go o between each buon press.
4. Set the dial on the TM13 to match the correct house address (1:A, 2:B … 16:P)
(see the picture on the right). This will adjust the sensivity level of the Stove
Alarm accordingly.
